How did those "talented" FSU players fair against a big power house of a team who calls themselves Jacksonville State? That pretty much blows your theory completely out of the water! Pretty sure we going to be playing Miami not FSU.

There were a couple of plays where the D line ran stunts ( Inside guys became ends, outside guys played inside rushers.) I hope this is cleaned up because there was no contain. Even on the play were Crick got a sack, he rushed inside instead of staying in his outside pass rush lanes. Against Fau and Ark State OK, but If they run these kind of stunts and do not stay in their lanes Tyrod could get in the open field and that will be trouble.

Actually the best kind of win would be a tough battle. I am certain this wont happen but if we beat V Tech in a blowout it will provide ESPN the ability to question the quality of V Tech's team. The best win for the program is a team that everyone favor and believes was good. That way when we going in and win its is impressive.

Watching the V Tech Alabama game Alabama was successful staking the box and leaving corners one on one something only one safety over the top. I am curious if we are blitzing like last year how the DB will hold up in coverage. In the past two games their has been alot of zone coverage. The one thing I am excited to see is how Suh and Crick perform. This is not an allstar O-Line but they are a far better unit than we have faced. They are very athletic comparable to the top Big 12 Olines we will face. Saturday cant come fast enough.

Thank you for helping me put things in perspective. I defiantly was already looking past V Tech. Its post like these that help me remember one game at a time. But you have to admit a Sunbelt Championship would be kinda of cool. Even if we win the Big 12 Champsionship, I think that the Sunbelt trophy should go striaght to T.O. office to show of to boosters. ESPN loves story line things that they can sell. Bases on all the controversy of last year with OU, TT, and Texas I feel it was a forgone conclusion that the TT @ Texas game would get the Game Day nod. ABC has already scheduled to show the OU vs Texas game nationally on October 17th at the Palace close to Dallas (AKA Jerry World) They also like to make it the prime time game in the 8:00 Eastern time slot.

I think this was a very disappointing weekend for the Big 12. Regardless of my hate of Colorado, seeing them get rolled by Toledo and watching Okie Light get done by Houston is terrible for our conference as a whole. I don't want us to start being mentioned in the same light as the Big East and Big Ten. I hate every Big 12 opponent unless they are playing out of conference games. It is my hope that our conference win every no conference game. Because I don't want to hear the statement that Nebraska is just the best team among terrible teams.

Hate to break it to you but the universitys committment is to the students. Yes the Boosters are a very important part but if you lose the support of the student body thats when a program really has problems. I hate the fact the people act as though these type of drinking practices did not occur in the past. College is for kids just because someone pays alot of money for a seat doesnt make them more important the students. Guess what if you dont buy your seat someone else will. If students decide to go to other colleges enrollment and funds suffer.

His passes do seem to float and he has thrown passes directly to the defense in the flats in both games. (Luckily the teams sucked so it wasnt picked off.) I really dont think the linebackers are going to be up to the challenge. They are very late on reads and take very bad angle in pursuit. Zac has not had a secondary that has been any where around his recievers. The tight end has been running around free in the past two games.

Lets not forget in the grand scheme of thing the interest of the University of Nebraska should be with the students. Last year there was talk of moving the student section because they wanted to stand and the blue hair couldnt see the game. I thought that was complete crap. Even though the state focuses it life and schedules around husker games the most important fans are the students. They are the ones that will cheer for the team all game, and yell at the oppisition and make it diffucult for them. Going to many husker game it was easy to cheer when we were winning but overall the staduim is only "rocking" when were up.

So they dont deserve the ranking they had because they lost by three to a top ten ranked team?

While you are saying that; how many of Zac Lee's passes were not thrown with the reciever wide stinking open? It's easy to watch film of our oppnents with blinders and talk about how bad they played or the oppenents they faced. Our offense has not had a defense worth a damn yet. We will see the type of QB that Zac Lee is in couple of days and where our defense is as well.

I hope we do. I think that Pelini is going to surprise some people when we unveil the schemes on Defense that we haven't been running under the "vanilla" play calling that has been occurring the past 2 games. One thing I really hope we do is SPY Taylor. If we don't run a spy on him throughout the game, I will be very surprised. I'm looking forward to this very exciting opportunity for the team though. I think spying him will be a good thing on long plays. Running a spy all gme will not help us in the secondary. The one thing people forget is when we played last year Taylor was on a bum ankle. I dont get where people feel any linebacker we currently start will be able to "spy" him anyway. This is the game I have been looking forward to for the whole off-season. Next weekend we will get a great gauge of where both our offense and defense will be for the seaon as a whole.

In regards to him being mad about his "long TD" the O line got away with a big time clip on his 30 yard TD reverse in the begining of the 2nd quarter. So it is my hope that he and the rest of the team can have a short term memory on good or bad plays

The officials had to make a presences in that game. Beside them being flag happy in the last 5 minutes; there really wasn't many penalties in the game. 12 penalties for 100 yards between both team.

This is why coaches coach and we message board. How can you expect anyone to respect you as a fan when you quit on your team in the first quarter of the game. Regardless to the outcome you should be happy that your team continued playing even though it got a little rough.

The next closest major conference (The ACC) had a 4 - 6 record. Out of the last 6 year they have only had 2 winning season in bowl games as a conference (04 went 3 - 3 and 07 went 4 - 2)

I really don't see him going anywhere for a really long time after the way the Idaho and Portland area supported his family and son during their ordeal. His family is settled where they are and he talk about all the time the toll it took on him and his wife while he was away 80 hour weeks and his wife was either at home or at the hospital. All Chris Petersen has to do is find a decent QB and with no major competition near by he can land average recruits and continue to dominant in the WACK. Honestly you can't fault them form being in the conference they are in. I mean lets face it even during the days of that coach we wont name; as bad as our team was we still had chances to win the North because we had no one in our division. You can only play the team that are assigned to you. They have actually tried to go out and prove they belong by playing quality conference opponents. So of the bigger programs they contact refuse to play them. So what else do we expect for them to do?
