Some pretty good inside info said that T Mart's legs got him the opportunity but it was his arm and brain that got him the job! Sure was hoping that the Huskies beat BYU last week but it didn't happen.

All I know, which is little, is that if Michigan can have a coach named Rodreguiz (sp) and we have a qb named Martenez (sp again) that I'm going to have to get a spanish spell checker!!!! I can spell taco and nacho and tequila.

Regardless, the Huskers are better in the qb department then what we were last season. All 3 qb's are better and that is the main point. If you aren't happy with that then go back 1 year! I'm betting we will need them all just as we did 3 rb's last year. I call em Speedy Martinez, Still Green, and Sack Lee! Lets just enjoy the fact that we have 3 capable qb's at the moment. I'm sure KU, KSU or CU would like one of them!

First game's seldom look good. A lot to improve on but a pretty good starting point. I think the majority of peeps on this site would give a big thumbs up if asked what we thought. Saw some good stuff, saw some bad. Definately saw some big potential.

I was impressed with the qb play. Both Green and TMart did pretty well especially for a first game. No motion penalties was nice but overall the o line needs to be better. David was everywhere but the most impressive thing I saw was when the Huskers are in the "TRex" formation. If that isn't a lethal combination then I don't know what is!

I don't get it how anyone thinks Lee is getting screwed. He competed for the job with everyone else and from reports the coaches were all in agreement about the pecking order decided last Monday. I thought TMart really did well for a rs freshmen and that Green actually improved as advertised. As far as Lee being listed as #3 I have not seen any depth chart stating such. It will play itself out and we will know more in several weeks. As a reference to past history I remember when Brandon Jackson was listed as the #4 running back years ago and we all saw how that changed. After watching last night I think the coaches got it right.

It's official. I have an inside source that, shall I say actually made the call. Probably can't get any more reliable than that. Crick and Pierre Allen are starting. He also alluded to the fact that Prince would see a lot of action.

I can officially state, and this is from someone inside the program, that we will have a starting qb.

Probably not a good sign when the lb's are wearing green jerseys at practice!

Even though their numbers are down NASCAR is a lot bigger draw than what the Huskers/Whorns game will be. Nothing wrong with a 2:30 kick off. In fact it is better. Now after we kick their arses we'll have more hours to celebrate!!! Look on the bright side!!

I guess we'll all find out about the same time! Is it scary that a senior is being pushed by a rs freshman or is it great that a rs freshman is pushing a senior for the starting spot? I'm leaning to the fact that TMart will be the starter by K State. Cody Green will red shirt and be a tight end next year. And wouldn't it be nice to have Washington back as a linebacker now? That was a waste of some real talent for a couple of plays in mop up action. Lee starts Saturday is my prediction. He's capable off leading us to the Big 12 north title. But do we need more to win the whole bananna?

I just left Arby's and saw Prince leaving on crutches. As Crick was helping him into the car some old blue hair backed into them and so I stayed and watched. The ambulance showed up and said Crick had a broken leg. I'm thinking it can't get any worse than this but I go into Arby's anyways. Get my meal, sit down and Lee Corso joins me. Now it is really starting to not be a good night!!! Bo warned me about Corso being in town but I didn't listen.

The LSU opportunity..... it will be there possibly but I sure don't see Bo wanting to move there again. Actually a step down in all reality. Maybe we should be more concerned about Carl getting some more looks (baring rumors and such). The only 2 jobs that may get Bo's attention would be Ohio State of course and Notre Dame.

I'm just hoping that the guy picked does really well. I sure don't want to see last year's offense repeated even though there was plenty of problems in all fazes from the play calls to the waterboy! A good line and some dangerous receivers can make an average "Joe" look pretty good.

The scary part is that a redshirt freshman and a sophmore that has not really lived up to his hype are in contention for the starting qb job. I'm betting it will be Lee starting like last year but he may have a shorter leash if the offense struggles.

Some of you do need to put down the koolaide and be realists about this. Bo is stating that parents were being contacted by the media as Fisher was on the operating table or before the staff had time to notify them. I would hope that with today's quick access that the family was notified before Sean left the stadium if it was serious and he was being transported to the hospital (emergency contact numbers??). As far as being on the operating table already? Seems pretty hasty that barely several hours had past and surgery was already required. And how about Tom stating several serious injuries had happened at practice yet that evening on radio? Love Bo's passion and how he has turned this program around but he needs some of his own medicine. This just doesn't add up quite right to me.

I never realized it much over the years when the Huskers were steam rolling everyone but non Husker fans hated Nebraska because of their swagger. Somewhat why we hated Miami, Free Shoes and the Sooners. I guess even watching Suh swat Hawkins aside and spiking the ball into the fence several years ago didn't seem like much of a deal (it was freakin awesome!!) but I am sure that any CU fan didn't think such. Watching highlights on Youtube generally results in swagger from the Huskers. Now we are starting to see it again even in practice reports. I bet we see more of it this year. So is it swagger or what. Regardless..... it's back! How many more days?

He was at practices Friday wasn't he? Now if someone stated that he had missed his 4th practice in a row this morning it might be an issue. There is little doubt that Bo doesn't like rumors or being needled about them.

B Jack was listed as the #5 back at seasons beginning. I seriously doubt agents were beating down the door for his contract at the time. It was way into mid season before he even emerged (because Callahan was an idiot). Then he went pro. Probably no new house and car yet!
