  1. haha, i noticed that too, and i thought for a second maybe i was saying it wrong... i mean it is espn, and they are the standard aren't they?
  2. don't tell her though, just let her come home and find a bunch people partying in her house. ha ha
  3. "TO didn't hire Gill because of race." really thats the most retarded statement ever. Gill was his assistant for how long? Offense didn't need fixing, it was the Defense that needed, Bo was the right person for the job at the time.
  4. easily. thinking we can't lose this game is how we can lose this game
  5. Play receivers close, blitz one or two per snap, take away the quick pass and make him run or throw on the run into coverage. Don't "need" to play the run, but loading the box making it seem as if everyone is comming for gabbert. He'll get happy feet when he see that their o-line just missed another block.
  6. Anyones offense will look good when you average playing the 99th team in defense. Nebraska looked good on offense too while playing on average the 79th team on defense. I think it showed when NU played a "good" D when it played VaTech. The O struggled. Take the VaTech game out for NU and I guess the Ill. game for MU and no one has played any one. But taking that into consideration...Neb Ranks 20th defensively. and Mizzou Ranks 56th in the country. From what I'm looking at Neb has the edge def. while Mizzou hold the edge Off. We all know D wins games. Nu by a FG
  7. That is so true. In all honesty I don't understand why and how they are so bad. Yes it's true their fans are almost non-existent and the university doesn't support them like they should. But, come on. How can they be really as bad as they are. They are so bad that they are almost ISU or KSU like. Remember the BC era, its pretty much the same with hawkins......they'll kick him lose, get a good coach, and we'll have turkey day games as exciting as last years hopefully forever. CU can not afford to fire Hawkins during this season or anytime soon it would appear. From article "The school's total liability could approach $3 million under the terms of the deal if any partial year was prorated in a buyout. If the buyout was limited to three years, it would cost CU no more than $2,550,000. " additionally "The athletic department remains in deeply in debt with the majority of an $8 million loan from the campus and the CU system in 2006 still to be paid off. Part of that debt was caused by the last coaching change when Bohn fired Gary Barnett at the end of the 2005 season and hired Hawkins. " http://www.dailycamera.com/sports/ci_13329737 I read that too, pretty much he's a lame duck till his contract is up.....you know they will probably try to find a loop hole or something to get out of it, or maybe a booster will step in and take care of the money thing. keeping him is sure to cost more then it would to fire him. with that being said, it would be interesting to see coach hawkins turn it around due to being forced to keep him.
  8. When I espn and checked the local news on ESPN for MU and got a return on two articles about the same thing. When checking NU you get a return of 11. Times that by a touch down and Nebraska wins 80-17 because Alex Henry kicks a 30 fg through our uprights around the world and through Mizzou's smaking pinkle in the face for good measure. Go Big Red
  9. 11. Missouri (4-0) Big 12's surprise team might win the North, but still lags behind South's powers. Next big challenge: Oct. 17 at Oklahoma State Next big challenge: Oct. 8 vs. Nebraska
  10. looking foward to michigan and michigan state. typically is a good game. might be an awesome one this year

  12. I won't debat the fact NU will never be what it was in the 90's. Different coaches, different era, different play book, just different in every aspect execpt in the heart. The heart is big in NU country, and the swagger I feel is starting to show up again. Maybe not in Key wins, but in confidence. Its a matter of time before NU starts to work its way up the top 25, top 20, 15, 10 and so on, how long that takes who knows, but it will happen. On a side note. We as NU fans hope and pray for the glory days to come back, but it won't, but every since TO left, we are still the NU of old in the eyes of every team that was dominated by NU for the past 40 years. We are down but no one plays us like where down. Nebraska gets everyones best shot no matter how crappy we play week in and week out. No one will ever over look the team the the N on their helmets, and will forever be a good win for anyteam on any week. the image will never be the same, but will take on its own with time....just my thoughs.
  13. yeah, but this year it sounded more that they'll contain him in the run, forcing him to throw. suits us better this year but who knows
  14. Tyrod will be one demensional Another ESPN analyst saying he likes NU GBR!
  15. Teeball? Its football season, not little league baseball, thats for the summer. Hope your better at watching Husker games that have been DVR'd then I am, I can't keep from fast fowarding to the end. It sucks
  16. I know we use the base 4-3 defense. but with the big twelve being so pass happy wouldn't it the 4-2-5 defense better all around as a base. i know someone knows more about this then i do. so please someone fill me in.
  17. CLOSER, BUT STILL NOT LUCK, GOSH DARN IT, THIS IS NOW HOW I WANTED THIS SEASON TO START!
  18. i can not get the game on huskers.com i've been told that you can listen to the game live, help!!!!
  19. no he'll have to hit 5 or more 100 yrd fg and then yes he'd go early. haha
  20. i finished off week 1 too, and hulu set all sorts of new records, like 500 yrds rushing with about 8 td. and an impressive 12.8 ypc now only if that would happen in real life wooo
  21. Seems as though this portion of the board is dead, but I thought I'd see if anyone responds. Is there any plans of a bar that will have the game on?
