  1. Suh has the big thing MO I sure hope Tom O is there it adds so much to our image factor to have him present! Especially if Suh wins! It will be huge!!!!!
  2. Rozier and Rodgers are two of the dumbest chumps you will ever meet! They are in a class with Lawrenmce Phillips! And, this proves it and that goes for anyone who voted McCoy above Suh!
  3. So we may see where the offense is headed when they get the QB they seek. Do high school kids like tommy Frazier still exist or are the kids all running passing offenses in high school? Could we run a triple option like GT? I would sure like to hear what TO is thinking about now! He was seen taking notes in his press box.. HMMM

In like flint 27 up, 27 down buy in like flint mugs, tshirts and magnetsIn like Flynn" as opposed to "In like Flint" Man! Get it right, or at least try. IN LIKE (Errol) Flynn? In like Flint is the movie play off of "IN LIKE FLYNN". When I was 13 I thought the same thing, but as it go's I'm into old sayings and I asked around. You know old people rock. And I have also found some other odd stuff you should know on the web that i did not know. All very cool. So this is it so far.... : : : "In like Flynn" as opposed to "In like Flynne" : : : In Australia the phrase "In like Flynn" seems to be used to denote that one is well accepted into a particular group or culture or that one is safe or secure or that something is deeply and securely imbedded. : : : The phrase seems to be linked to a famous Australian Presbyterian Clergyman and Missionary, the Very Reverend John Flynn (1880 to 1951). His fame is based on his work and involvement in developing the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the "Pedal Radio" in the late 1920's and early 1930's. : : : His base of operations for much of his ministry was at (Australian Inland Mission) Alice Springs in Central Australia. : : : John Flynn became a legend in his own life time and was widely known as "Flynn of the Inland" : : : Because the town of Alice Springs is so geographically centrally located in Australia it is generally deemed not possible to get any further into the interior. : : : Hence the phrase "in like Flynn" in an Australian context. : : It would be interesting to know the... more... in like flynn in like flint in like flynne in like flin in like i don't know. why do you need five. i don't have them!!!!! by Hodag-head May 9, 2007 share this 3. 5. Word is there is a new way. Watson is not going anywhere. The question is what is the new way? The qestion of the day What will the NEW WAY BE? What will be TO's involvement? Who will call the plays? New direction for NU? « Blog - Tom Shatel Digg Newsvine del.icio.us Reddit Facebook Twitter 5 p.m.: Could it be? Earlier this week, I wrote that I thought Shawn Watson would return as Nebraska offensive coordinator next season. Not because I think Watson is doing a bang-up job, but mainly because I don't think Bo Pelini has spent much time considering his offensive philosophy, direction for the offense or who to hire if he did replace Watson. That's an important decision for Pelini, one that will shape his career at NU, one that should require considerable research and thought. But now, in light of the Tyler Gabbert renege, I wonder if something might be going on. Gabbert has been quoted in various outlets as saying Nebraska's offense isn't what he thought it would be, that he knew Nebraska was running the ball to win games late in the year, but he now has doubts, etc. Louisiana receiver Curtis Carter said as much recently after he decommitted from NU. Is there a change in offensive direction happening at Nebraska? Or a change in coordinator? And is that change in direction toward a permanent shift toward the power formations and reliance on the run game that helped carry the limping NU offense home in November? This doesn't pass the smell test. Why would Gabbert, a big-armed kid, get spooked by Zac Lee and Co.? Does he not think he can come in and start over Lee? Really? Actually, Gabbert would be competing against Cody Green, who has a nice arm but hasn't exactly lit it up yet. Would Watson, who has recruited Gabbert from the get-go, not assure him that the offense was still going to be "slingin' it,'' as he likes to say? Wouldn't Watson and Bo Pelini assure Gabbert that the latter part of this season was merely a band-aid to get to a North Division title, and that it would be back to normal next season? Same with Carter. Why would he have doubts about NU's offensive style and Lee's ability? Wouldn't Pelini assure Carter, too, that the style will be the same and don't worry about the talent you see on the field -- you'll be able to beat them out? I'm reading between the lines here, but I sense that these two were told that there is going to be a shift toward a running game, and a running quarterback, with all the trimmings. The way Gabbert and Watson parted ways amicably, how can you not think that? Will Watson be back? Is there a new direction? These are questions Pelini must answer as soon as he gets back from the Ndamukong Suh Awards Tour -- if not sooner. Filed by Tom Shatel http://www.omaha.com/article/20091210/BIGR...9960/0/BIGRED03
  6. showing once again college footb all is la la land. offical make the rules as they go guys like Carl Pellini get peanuts and guys who are the worst ever are paid double what Carl is and will get a huge raise and chance to run off every good recuit with the worst play calling in history give all coaches 5 million it only makes sense
  7. Big 12 takes down 7 major awards not bad! Make it 8 SATURDAY NIGHT! http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/i...or-seven-awards
  8. Martin Rucker was part of the 2003 Mizzou recruiting class. How does that have anything to do with Watson and Callahan? Watson was at Colorado and Callahan was with the Raiders. That one is on Frankie thinking that since the kids last name was Rucker he would just sign with NU and they didn't have to recruit him that hard. Hey, what do facts have to do with this anyway! LOL Please do not use Coach Frank Solich's name in the same sentence with Callahan.
  9. also a crawl at the bottom of espn screen is projecting McCoy to win Heisman and Suh was not even in top five for that projection they ran it several times. Did I say Fowler is an ass?
  10. goes to McCoy wins Walter Camp http://waltercamp.org/index.php/teams_and_awards/awards/
  11. ND would pay him big bucks he is Catholic and could take all the defense coaches and leave TO with the Big 12 and the Offensive coaches. How would you like to do a coaching search in this marketplace?.....just sayin Bo is better than Mack or Stoops or Weiss or the head coaches at LSU or Alabama and he is paid like Colorado just saying he should look around for a 5 million dollar pay package while he is hot. Before he gets fired for no offense and doing a Mangino! just sain we have a comp problem and a oc problem....
  12. If any school with money wants Pellini we are toast he is paid like 1.375 and when Texas & Mack winning the Big 12 cost every Husker coach and Bo abot 100k
  13. This kid is a personal family conection to Watson hope mit is nolt true or we in deep do do for years "[Comment From MelissaMelissa: ] I live in St. Louis & ESPN radio here is reporting that Tyler Gabbert will decommit from Nebraska today. Have you heard anything? Wednesday December 9, 2009 12:09 Melissa"
  14. I he takes down all the trophies he is up for yes retire the number and if he wins the Heisman we should also rename the state Ndamukong or House of Football Spears
  15. Carter told Coach Gilmore during a home visit Monday he did not know where he would fit in our offense. This is a big compliment to Coach Watson since Carter thinks we actually have an offense. Actually, WE DO NOT!
  16. I say TO should call a meeting of all the old Big 8 schools and invite TCU, Utah, and Boise State to study the formation of a new conference. This would at the very least get some attention from the Big 12 who smugly ignore us in the old Big 8!
  17. does this offense perpetuate a feeling that a career will be wasted? YES it the offense/ system may change from nothing to something It just depends on when Watson and or Pellini get fired...and a new OC comes in I would not bet a career either This was the one recuit that I was excited about--- he is a Macklin--- I just hope he does not land with another Big 12 team... Same thing happened with Rucker's brother under Watson and Callahan.
  18. We could get the Millard South coach cheap Any good high school coach would be fine be better Most fans could do a better job
  19. no one wants to play for Watson and his play calling When was the last time we had a recuit call out our play calling? Louisiana wideout decommits from NU Life in the Red Lincoln Journal Star Monday, Dec 07, 2009 - 10:45:13 pm CST Rivals.com reports that Curtis Carter, the speedy receiver from Stonewall, La., has decommitted from the Huskers. Carter apparently delivered the news to Husker wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore during a visit from the coach Monday night. “I told Coach Gilmore that I was having doubts about where I fit into their offense. It was just not clicking with me because I’m a slot receiver and they’re really not using a slot receiver anymore,” Carter told Rivals. [+]Enlarge Carter told the recruiting Web site that he watched the Big 12 championship game, “and all they do now is run, run, run.” The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Carter is rated by Rivals as a four-star player. He said he plans to visit Missouri and TCU. http://www.omaha.com/article/20091207/BIGR...79958/-1/bigred
  20. due to Suh we are going to need a redo and a bigger room! http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB...mp;ATCLID=24951 http://www.jaixen.com/fb101/P1010010.jpg
  21. Man woman and Child Suh wins the Heisman Another Heisman for the trophy room announce at 5 pm finalists on espn Suh Heisman moment he won when he physically threw Colt McCoy in the air about seven yards and Colt got up and looked at him like how did you just do that!
  22. You may want to watch Fox,s cable sports news Big 12 program you can set the ddr to record it Joel Klatt and Corby Jones said they watched the clock go to zero and then the ball hit the ground at thier feet on the sideline
  23. This goes back to the clock issue on the tv. What clock was that ABC used in the replays, cuz if you watch the replay of the actual live action, the clock is at 0 when the ballhits the ground, then on the replay, that goofy clock they were showin, one of which i have never seen, is at one, and notice on that how the play clock is NOT running either. Call me a nutty bar or whatever, but i just believe there is more to this. Am i off my rocker, cuz i've watched over and over again too. Joel Klatt of Fox Sports said the game clock was at zero when the ball fell at his feet on the sidelines and Corby Jones said the same
  24. Zac Lee beat Texas and th is good ennough for me! I trhought that we were not supposed to call out players and call them names moderators?
