I would guess that at the very least...Bo's status as Head Coach is in limbo right now. If the intent is to keep him...then for recruiting purposes a statement of support should have been issued

You make some good arguments...but still too much of a risk IMO. There are more proven candidates Nebraska could hire (if we even fire Bo)

Its Ameer's 9, not Bo's. Say what you want. No one in college football carried a heavier load this year than Ameer. & when the load finally broke the strong man's back he played anyway because he's a warrior. Nebraska owes its 9 wins to Ameer Abdullah, not to Bo Pelini

The indictment on Bo is the embarrassment at Wisconsin. Recruiting DeMornay Pierson-El & beating Iowa is a positive...just not a big enough one to overcome giving 408 yards in 3 quarters to one player (IMO - as I am not the one who has the power to $***can him)

Cruel flicker of hope pretty much sums my thoughts on the season...I actually thought (prior to Wisconsin) that we could win out & possibly make the playoffs...yes I actually believed this

I love Ameer...I will miss him next year...I hope he goes to the Ravens

Unfortunate thing is if Bo is retained we'll probably be seeing alot of Tim Beck next season...dude is a moron (as a taxpayer to the state of Nebraska I have every right to say this). That play where Ameer got stuffed on 3rd & 1 towards the end of regulation...Iowa called timeout right before snap...Nebraska showed their play anyway...then tried the same play. I think Kirk Ferentz took the chance & betted Tim Beck would run the same exact play again. He was right!!

I enjoyed this win. The team played hard. Bo still needs to get shown the door

Really happy to see us beat Iowa that made my day. Bo still needs to go I have no faith in his ability to hire good coordinators.

If not...I don't see how they fire Bo. Now is the right time (if we're going to $***can him) so we can bring in a new guy for the bowl & have time to salvage our recruiting class

KeithWassung - people with special needs cannot help their own situation & should not be degraded. When someone has a fully functional brain & is paid $600,000 a year...& calls plays like Tim Beck just did...then that person should be called a retard (IMO).

I'll be stoked if we keep Bussey. Really like some of our other recruits but Bussey is the star of this class. If the (hopefully) new coach keeps him it will be a big recruiting victory

If Bo stays & hires a legit OC & a legit DC (as opposed to his "yes men" buddies) I suppose I could accept it. I just think Bo may be incapable of working with another "alpha male" personality on the staff...therefore he hires "yes men" like Tim Beck who don't have enough balls to stand up to him

I would be all for Bo having 1 more year...had it not been for the Wisconsin debacle. That game alone is enough reason to fire him (IMO)

I would get a pretty big hard-on if we hired Jim Tressel...would love that hire....I could care less about the sanctions as long as the team is competitive

Ameer bailed his a$$ out the 1st half of the season...without Ameer's Heisman worthy performances (prior to injury) we're a borderline bowl eligible team

I think Bo Pelini has had enough time to change the offense but its more or less the same d*** thing every year.
