There is no figuring out Coach C's play calling. I've given up on that, but that may be a good thing. I doubt if any of the teams we have played or will play have any idea either. GBR!!!

I hope Mizzou keeps winning till they get to Lincoln. Doesn't get us much respect or do much for our rating to beat teams rated under us. Beating an undefeated Mizzou team would be a huge boost for us with the pollsters and might even help with recruiting. Right now thou I'm just worried about K.ST. Any word on Austin's injury? GBR!!!

It would sure wreck my Sunday morning. I hate waking up and then the first thing that comes to mind is we lost. Won't even read the paper. GBR!!!

We need a good road win. Not a squeaker. That would boost the players and give them that confidence that they can go any where and win. ISU has always been a tough one us at their place. We have blown them out there but they have pulled a couple of huge upsets there also. Think it will be close but I hope not. Just get the win by 1pt or by 30. GBR!!!

I agree with you people. Coach C didn't call a bad game in fact he did just what we wanted him to do at USC. He opened up the play book and kept attacking even with a 17-0 lead. I don't think Taylor had his a-game going and the D wasn't swarming to the ball the way they can. O-line is still without Mann. I think the days of blowing other teams out is going to be a rare thing when we start playing the conference games. I don't care if we win the rest of them by 1pt. Time to get ready for a new style of Husker football. The ball control days of long drives and clock eating are gone. Those quick strikes for T/D's are nice but it also gets the other team back on the field and doesn't give the defense as much rest. We should be in for some tight games the rest of the year. IMHO... GBR!!!

KU fans have a right to talk smack, they did win last year and it will probably be another 36 years before they get to again. So they better get it all said now. GBR!!!

I like prospects that are excited when they are offered and want to be Huskers. This kid was neither. I wouldn't want us to waste the time on him. We seem to be able to recruit now with the best of them. There will be more Ashlee Palmer's out there next year. GBR!!!

Keller should be able to step right in if he has the plays figured out by next season. The kid can throw any type of pass short, long, sideline, fade. Hes already played in some of the biggest venues. So he won't be bothered by loud crowds or big name teams, hes been there done that. Hes probably going to be one of the best passers Nebraska has ever had. To bad it's only for one year but the offense is in great hands for next year. I was worried about next year when Beck left but not now. GBR!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Open it up lets see what happens it's only one game. Maybe we hit some passes and the running lanes open up. Maybe it blows up on us and we get blown out, but it's better than sitting there and wondering what could have been. This Husker team can play with anybody if we open up the play book and give the kids a chance to show what they can do. Coach C has the team, hes brought in some good players and he knows how to coach. I think he's learning more about college coaching each week, hes going to be a hell of a head coach. GBR!!!

I think we will see soon how much better this team is. We have a few good test's coming up. Sitting there I didn't know if USC was having trouble moving the ball because of it only being their 2nd game or if the Huskers, "that I thought we were playing hard till the end" were the reason for their problems. If so than maybe we are better than we showed in this game. I was not impressed with this years USC team as much as the last 2. I don't know about the rest of you but theres no way USC go's undefeated this year. A few more breaks our way and their hanging on for that win. Breaks USC-5 NU-1 Bring on Troy lets get this rolling again. 10 win season for us? at least. GBR!!!

I and every Husker fan around the area I was sitting in was waiting for Taylor to put it up deep after we got that first down and had time to maybe get a couple of passes off and maybe get one close enoug to try a field goal before the half ended. Didn't under stand that series of downs. GBR!!!

I thought about this game on the drive back to the hotel and wondered how we lost it. We really did have a chance I thought as the first half was winding down but that call when they had Booty sacked on third and about 8 at about the 45 and the refs called a delay of game on USC hurt bad. That was a bang,bang play we all thought he got it off right at 00 on the clock. Big screen showed it that way. That was just one of many breaks that didn't go our way, as you said 3 dropped INT's. The fumble at mid field on a third down that they picked up and ran for 13 yards on a third and 8. We had guys all around the ball and the guy that picked it up and still he broke loose. The fumble in the first few minutes of the 3rd period did it though. I think our defense played as good as they could. They fought the whole game and I was proud of them. I don't under stand the 36 rushing att and 17 passes att ratio. We couldn't run the ball and the sweeps were just getting stuffed at the line. You can open up the run by passing, just as you can open the passing game up by running, it works both ways. I was waiting for us to start throwing those short dinks to the TE and let them pick up 3or4 yards at a pop, it got us how many short TD's the last 2 weeks. would have worked enough for badly need first downs. Some times you have to give up on the game plan and give the kids a chance to win it. That game plan was not going work after we went down 21-3, but Coach C stuck with it. He's built a high powered offensive that seems to have the players to run it, so why not use it. This is not the NFL you can't loose2.3.4, games and still get a shot at the big game. I think this game will only help Coach C in his play calling as the season gos on. I like what hes started here and its only going to get better for the Husker fans. GBR!!!

Had a great time, wish we could have won it but just like you said the USC fans were cool. Some USC fans said thanks for coming. My sons were at their first Husker game and my 3-1/2 year old grandson slaped high 5's and yelled GO BIG RED with the best of them. Will have to get them back to Lincoln to see a game there someday. GBR!!!

I can see why these guys figure we are going to get beat. USC just reloads like the Huskers used to. I think we have a very good shot at winning this game, if Taylor just gets time to throw and we keep the presure on Booty. It's not goin to be easy and we may be a year away yet from winning this type of game but I like our chances. Win or loose there still our Huskers. GBR!!!

It looks like the players are getting to know what they are supposed to do in the wco. O- line looked good pass blocking. I wonder what USC is going to think when they see the game film on our d/b problems. Cos is going to have to come up with some sort of Defense to put as much pressure on their q/b to get him to hurry up the passes or we could be in for a long game there. Or just maybe he didn't show everything in his play book. Any way good start for this team. Impressed with our running backs and of course Zack is still tough as nails. GBR!!!
