Nice to read an article that is so positive about the pending Memorial Stadium experience. Rather than taking the opportunity to bash us, or say the luster is gone (which it is not), this writer actually sounds exicted to come. Nice to read.

Nice comment. I guess I am becomming an old timer. This is the type of kid that has been the backbone of the program for years. I only saw Leverson play two playoff games in football last year. The kid struck me as a competitor. He didn't get rattled. He was a gamer. Not to mention how talented he was. I'll take a talented Nebraska kid with desire and his head on straight any day. I don't give a darn if he isn't the next 3- 4- 5 star player.

I disagree with you. They only lost one game in the Big 12, I wouldn't call that backing in. How manny other coaches could hold it together after losing their starting quarterback and All American tailback? Who do you think should be the coach of the year?

I agree "every section" Nebraska will be the visiting team. According to the Big 12 site, Nebraska will be on the visiting sideline at Arrowhead also.

We all know with a Big 12 Championship title, we are headed to the Fiesta. What are the other possibilites, if we happen to lose in KC? All I have heard is Cotton or Holiday. In my mind, Cotton would be better than Holiday. What do others think? The Cotton Bowl has lost a lot of prestige over the past few years. Does one over the other help us more in recruiting? Just curious what others think.

Putting Gdowski up there is a reach, but man did he have an incredible year in 1989 when he got the chance.

I am not a huge Coz fan, but in his defense, he had guys in position to make plays. Shanle, Jones, Green could not tackle today in the second half. they were there, just didn't make the play. I don't know how you can't be happy about this win. Finally, a quality road win. GO BIG RED.

I had to go outside and listen on the radio. After we blocked the field goal attempt, I told myself I couldn't go back in. I didn't want to jinx us. 40 years old, and still worry about the jinx!! I listened to the end, 5 seconds away from my 50" tv. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!

I just don't see what the attraction would be of another program to hire Coz. I don't want to beat the guy down, but seriously, what would the attraction be? He took over a good defense, made them average, then took them to good on occasions.

I have been to many games at Arrowhead. I think I have sat in about every possible location. I have never felt like I had a bad seat. It is a great place to watch a ballgame.

Play a clip from Caddyshack. $50 the Schmails kid picks his nose. Then show that. It could be one of the funniest things ever.

He was not on TV. They said on the radio that they were filming their opening segment for the show. That would be pretty cool to have him out there with roaring crowd "HUSKER" "POWER" I can't see how Nebraska could be hurt in any way by that kind of positive publicity.

Kent and Gary were and always will be my favorites. That being said... God... lay off of Jim Rose for a while. You may not like the guy, you may hate the guy, but he is what we have now. This thread is full of people saying they are sick of his goofy statements, then someone throws out "verbal diahrrea". Isn't that the same thing. People don't like his excitement over a 5 yard run, but we have a guy mocking a call like Jim Rose said to the 20-the 30-the 40... stopped after a 3 yard gain. Seriously folks, give the guy a break. He is our guy. He may not be for much longer, but at least for the rest of the year, he is our guy. I am not a big fan of "the arrogance that comes across" from Jim. I am not thriled with Adrian either. But you know what? I listen to them, and during the games I hang on every word they say. Not because of how they say it, but because they are describing to the best of their abillities what my Huskers are doing. Go Big Red.

I'm not one to normally post. I loved Kent Pavelka. But I wonder how much of my love for him was due to the fact that Nebraska won 95% of the games. I am guessing that it is much easier to do a broadcast when you have All Americans two deep at nearly every position. I think Jim Rose does a fine job. He has his style love it or hate it... he is a Nebraska fan. I would imagine if we could go 11-1, 12-0, people would be happier about everything; including our radio guy.
