  1. Congratulations to that girl, everyone is now dumber for reading that. I award her now points, and may god have mercy on her soul. I found another equally fantastic tall tale. http://www.shaggybevo.com/board/showthread.php/61887-Suh-is-a-class-act I know it's the internet and for every reasonable person there are two retards, but that site really needs a facepalm emoticon y'all.

  3. Found this little beauty on Shaggy Bevo: http://www.shaggybevo.com/board/showthread.php/61919-I-ran-into-Carl-Pelini Special ed UTerus fans actually believe her, like she had time to leave, go home and change her clothes, and make it back in time to catch him still eating at a fast food restaurant. Ah well, they seem to believe a lot of stupid things. Must be all the cow sh#t in the water. EDIT: Well everything is bigger in Texas, including tall tales and waistlines, so maybe she wolfed down her Runza in 00:01 and rolled home real quick like.
  4. However you veiled it, yes and yes. Or, I suppose the alternative is you usually express disappointment in people who you feel did the right thing and I'm just not understanding you.
  5. I really dont care much for Carnes, either. The whole recruiting thing kinda made wonder why kept going after this kid after visited and then committed WKU, then decided on NU all within about a week or 2. Anybody that thinks Martinez or Green isnt gonna start in 2011 is dreaming. FWIW I really wanna see Spano can do when healthy hopefully he can see some action this fall in mop up duty. But I think unfortunately we have another Jordan Adams like injury plaque career and get lost in the shuffle. So your issue with Carnes is that he's a kid who had a hard time making up his mind on one of the biggest decisions of his life? Anyway, Lee will be #1 and for the rest in 2011, it's way too early to tell because both Martinez and Green are still pretty much raw talent with potential, like most other young players.
  6. Like I said. Everyone's so quick to point out what other people should have done with their money.
  7. Reading some of the comments on various articles about this, people WILL really complain about anything.
  8. They weren't ignoring me, they were listening to my pearls of wisdom! It wasn't you! I can't imagine this man had access to a computer.
  9. I had a great time except the drunk, fat, old, idiot with the champions club necklace in front of me that still thinks this game is 1s vs 2s and Cody Green sucked for failing against the, "second string defense." About the 15th time I truly got annoyed. If you're too drunk and clueless to not realize Jared Crick isn't on the second string, it would be better for everyone if you said nothing. It's pretty bad when the people you came to the game with are ignoring you.
  10. Do any of you recruitniks know who was after Scott Frost, Joe Ganz, Tommie Frazier, and/or Eric Crouch? with all due respect, those QB's were also recruited for a COMPLETELY different style of offense, with the exception of Joe Ganz. As much as Joe Ganz helped Nebraska ease its way back a little bit before the defense really got good. I wouldn't put anywhere near the group or quality of QB as those guys. I loved Ganz I'm glad we had him, but c'mon guys...seriously, think a little. Ok..I have a couple of comments and or questions about the list of schools he was offered. First, have you heard of Jerrod Johnson? The dual threat QB from Texas A&M? Apparently they felt Cody Green could fill the same role in that offense some day. So, for starters, that doesn't make sense. Second, when you say "doesn't (I assume thats what you meant) make sense cause he can't pass", what does that even mean? Obviously Texas Tech saw something in him because he was recruited by Mike Leach. Mike Leach may be crazy, but he knows more about quarterbacks than you or I do. I'd say he saw something there. And in relation to this, what are you basing your opinion of Cody Green off of? 62 passes from an 17-18 year old in one of the toughest college football conferences? 62 passes from a kid who played behind an obliterated o-line with few receiving threats and an at-times anemic running game? That means you must also be factoring in what you've heard from people at practices, people who only went to one of fifteen practices and are giving their opinions/thoughts. I'm not trying to be rude, but let's think this one out a bit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is your argument: CG stinks because he wasn't offered by some of the better schools, his passing sucks even though he threw the ball only 62 times all year, and I know he sucks because a couple of anonymous people went to ONE practice and told me he sucked. I'm not advocating for Cody Green, nor am I saying I disagree with you in the sense that his passing was less than formidable last year, but you are writing a kid off for reasons that are not substantiated. Lastly, do you have any proof to back up your claim that rivals accepts money from kids to boost their star ratings? If you do, I'd like to see it. Otherwise, that's a heavy rumor. Best post I've seen from you. You put that better than I could, for sure. I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or take it as I should work on what I post But thanks. Hah, I actually thought about editing it after I posted it because I thought you might take it as an knock against the rest of your posts, but I don't like to do that. It has nothing to do with the quality of the rest of your posts.

  13. Do people really have this simplistic of a world view, if so I truly envy them. I find it odd that fans and coaches are now saying that the spring game will just be a boring scrimmage, when this practice is arguably the biggest recruiting tool in NU's arsenal. Either this is an exciting chance to impress some of the nations top FB talent, or it's a lame spring scrimmage that doesn't amount to diddly. Make up your minds people, you can't have it both ways! I'm not the simpleton treating this board like a hive mind collective.
  14. That’s why I said in my earlier post that they should take the “Black-out” approach like Pro Sports cities do and when they reach the certain number of tickets sold they then broadcast it on TV for the rest of the people to see. Yes they are Bo and Tom both know how to win football games. If they thought the benefits of televising the game outweighed the costs, I'm sure they would have done it.
  15. There might be a little bit of both. Maybe I’m “Old School” when it comes to this type of thing but I think the charging $10 a ticket and making all the seats reserved is a little much. I’m pretty sure we are in the minority when it comes to charging for this “practice”. I also think it is lame that they won’t allow it to be on TV or the Web. What would that possibly hurt? Like I said if they want to charge go ahead, people will pay, but at least throw the “practice” up on NET for the folks who aren’t able to make it down there and would still like to see some of the action. I would also like to know this, if it is just another “practice” and not that big of deal then why do they make it a HUGE recruiting weekend? If it was just another “practice” then there wouldn’t be a list of visitors lined up to come to town. FWIW: I am going on Saturday but that is only because I received a FREE ticket. I don't think it has anything to do with being "Old School," because I'm pretty sure there are plenty of reasonable "Old school" people who can understand a simple concept like televising a spring practice may be detrimental to ticket sales. Emoticons are cool.
  16. f#*k airlines and their piece of sh#t employees that hate their jobs. Maybe if customer service wasn't so f'ing awful more people would fly and they might actually turn a profit for once this century.
  17. Great to see them let loose and have some fun they are just kids after all!!! I wish so many people didn't forget this.
  18. I've been playing online (Xbox 360), and I cannot seem to score on anyone other than pick 6's. Any tips? It's becoming a tad frustrating, hah.
  19. I bet they going to chant, "S E C! S E C!" at his birthdays, graduations, and other moments of achievement.
  20. I don't know about you but when I was younger I found plenty of ways to get drunk on adult hosted trips.
