  1. Nice summary. Now if we can just get you to spell Osborne correctly. Just to expand a bit. I hear alot of, what are they going to do without SUH, stuff about the defense. Suh was incredible but he is only one man. He didn't make every tackle. A 5 star guy will probably be the replacement for Suh. Sure he will be missed but the defense will be very very good. The offense should be alot better for reasons stated above. With an offense that was only a little bit better NU would have been 13-1 or 12-2 because you never know how the bowl game would have gone (different bowl different opponent).
  2. Oh I'm Half Way There (to the restroom) Livin On A Prayer (that I don't poop my pants)

  3. He was very good but most here probably aren't old enough to have seen him play. Very tough runner.
  4. IM Hipp would probably be my favorite. Likely because he is in my early memories of Husker football. Jarvis Rewine also. BTW - Johnny the Jet was not a running back.
  5. Yep, that Wistrom kid didn't last very long.
  6. There is one solution to that problem. You sit down and that old guy does not bitch. Then no one's game is ruined. Can you yell louder if you stand? Can you enjoy the game more if you stand? I have sat. I have stood. Neither has enhanced or inhibited my enjoyment of the game or the decibel level that I am able to product. If you are at a Husker game and sitting makes you bored then you should really find something else to do. Here is the deal. If the people in front of you are standing then you stand. If the people in front of you are sitting then you put your butt in your seat. When something big happens you jump up and celebrate just like the rest of the crowd. If you want to stand just to stand then you can stand in front of your TV. Not unnecessarily blocking the view of people sitting behind you is common courtesy. If someone is asking you to sit down it is probably due to physical limitations. If you insist on being the only one standing in front of someone who has trouble standing then you are a jackass. On the other hand, if hundreds of people in front of someone are standing then it is rude for them to be bitching about sitting down. You sit when you can and you stand when you have to. It's a pretty simple rule.
  7. Dont know if that will be true... last three times down at Lawrence I have been there. KU fans were in force for the most 2 recent games at KU, but who knows. Last I heard there were still tickets available... I guess the KU ticket office finally realized that they can NOT charge whatever they want for Nebraska tickets. $95 each is way too much, plus, at the start of the season they were forcing you to buy a 3 game package for $150 to get the ONE ticket for the NU game... even the tickets say $90 face value on them. We will see if the greed at KU will affect attendance, something tells me it will. I live in Lawrence. There are still plenty of tickets left. $90 is the price. I bought 27 tickets for friends coming down for the game. $90 is outragous. 2 years ago I bought 51 tickets. Price is a big reason why I did not buy more this year. Many people will not pay that price. I'm not going to the game unless someone backs out at the last minute. Call it my one man protest. I see no way that this game will be a sell out. No KU fans are buying tickets now. Most Husker fans decided not to make the trip down here while KU was jacking around with 3 three game packages. KU thought that this was going to be their big year and wanted to keep NU fans out. They assumed that KU would have a really good record and the KU fans would buy up the tickets. They were wrong. Husker fans have been making this game a sell out for years. KU has finally found a way to keep that from happening. It will have a financial impact to the businesses of Lawrence. Because of the reduced numbers, the reduced amount of booze that will be bought by my group of NU fans alone is significant. KU fans are cool but KU needs to take a step back when it comes to tickets. IF KU ever has a really good football team NU fans will not be able to get tickets because KU fans will have bought them all. All this package crap and jacking up prices is just stupid.
  8. My experience in the drinking sciences make me an expert in this area and because of my login name I can confirm that blowing .035 is definitely not impaired.
  9. @ $90 there are plenty of tickets available. KU fans will not pay $90 for this game.
  10. Nice fantasy. Please keep repeating it as many times as it takes for you to actually believe it.
  11. 1. I agree with most of what you say and I think lots of times Husker fans on the road have a weird idea of how they should be treated, its almost like they think fans of the home team should come up to them and be like "wow, how does it feel to back such a great program?" and stuff like that. Yes I am a HUGE husker fan and alum, but thats how lots of the Husker fans act on the road, especially older ones. 2. I think a lot of times fans on the road look for all the bad things they can find, its usually more fun to look for the bad things and bitch then it is to look for the good things. 3. If you couldnt park closer to the stadium at UNL then you flat out f'd up. You can park at any frat house for 20 dollars. I just went to the 300th sellout game, got there 90 minutes before kickoff (a night game mind you) and went right to a frat house and parked for 20 dollars. That being said, if some dude said he had his worst experience at the Mizzo game, well then, thats his opinion so as a mizzo fan you that you are, you either have to live with it and let it bother you or not give a f#*k. I have been at the MU game in 03, 05, 07, and 09. All four times we tailgated with some very nice Missouri fans very close to the stadium. We have met many nice Missouri fans. I define nice as people who don't feel the need to mouth off. You can hate me for being a Husker fan but you don't have to tell me about it. There are way too many MU fans that just have to run their mouths. My guess is that majority of MU fans are good except for the fact that they find it accpetable for the minority to act like jackasses. CU fans are much worse. Penn St. fans are far worse than CU.
  12. That's why I couldn't pass it up. Even with all that, this will still likely be more fun than my last trip there 2 years ago.
  13. People who are not Husker fans cannot understand it. People who are Husker fans can't explain it. Once you are exposed to is you are hooked for life. My wife grew up in Kansas where they teach their children to hate Nebraksa fans. I took her to one game and it that was all it took. She is a fan for life.
  14. I think you mean aroma. Aura? Win a conference championship then you start thinking about Aura.
  15. Hi, New guy here. I've been around some just not around here.
  16. I'm new here but you really shouldn't feel obligated to stick around.
  17. This will be my 4th trip to MU.
  18. I doubt that this kid wants to sit and watch his big brother play for the next 3 years. If that's what he wants then that is what he will do. If he want to be a Husker, great. If he does not want to be a Husker then that is just too bad. We will be just fine. He's one player nothing more. We all knew this story was coming. If the kid does not where a Husker jersey to school every day someone was going to do a Ty is waivering story this week. Ty needs to do what is best for Ty. I hope he decides that is Nebraska is the best place for him.
