  1. I have it on ESPN3 right now because I'm bored at the office, and boy, does that Pelini-less defense look pretty shabby.
  2. fellow Huskers and Vikings fan! Welcome to the board, and welcome to Husker Nation. Enjoy the ride.
  3. Blockbuster is doing a similar thing now in order to delay it's inevitable bankruptcy. It's called Blockbuster Express. From what I've gathered, Redboxes are typically in McDonalds' and grocery stores, and the Blockbuster Express machines are typically in gas stations. I'm within walking distance to a gas station with a Blockbuster Express, so I'm probably going to get good use out of it!
  4. At first I was like , but then I That was absolutely hilarious, and I'm glad the football team was able to recruit these guys before the theater department got to em!
  5. Ha, yeah, that was a really well-written spoof article. If I would've seen that article a week ago I would've completely bought it up until the Vandalay Industries part.
  6. I assumed that this was a joke, alluding to the ever-so-popular Carl Pelini thread.... Either my sarcasm meter is picking up false positives or yours might need a tune up... And in response to the original post, it definitely sounded like Sims was definitely N and was going to serve anywhere from GA to OC...it seemed like the writing was on the wall. I am wondering if anyone has any info on this as well.
  7. Can we add this one into the poll?? (I can upload a poorly done blank helmet for anyone else who wants to compete with my glorious submission)
  8. You know, this seems obvious to me...I'm not sure I understand why there is a debate about between Suh and McCoy when you compare stats, awards, etc. It's either because 1) sports writers want to stir up some debate and get page views or 2) scouts genuinely believe that while Suh was a better college player, McCoy will be a better NFL player. If it's the latter, what is it about McCoy that makes him the better NFL prospect? (I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but I'm wondering if anyone has heard any good reasons why McCoy is a better than Suh)
  9. This is fun! Distance to Memorial Stadium Currently: 380 miles Next year: 402 miles Distance from Boone Pickens Stadium Currently: 734 miles Next year: 3.7 miles

I like how on Tigerboard, at any given time (except during their own sporting events), at least half of the threads are insult threads pointed towards NU or KU. They sure like talking about Nebraska...
  11. This is ok. In fact, let's hope 28 other teams feel the same way and Suh ends up in Purple Honestly, though, it would be awesome if he went first, but it's more important to me (and probably most of Husker Nation) that he succeeds in the NFL. So hopefully wherever he ends up, there's enough talent in place overall for Suh to Ndominate.
  12. I agree....I can see this 'taunting on the way to the end zone' rule leading to some controversial calls. I completely understand penalizing blatant taunting en route to a score, but I'm nervous that players will get flagged and have their scores taken away for subtle things like slowing down before scoring, holding the ball up in the air, etc.
  13. I can second this. I spent a lot of time on other boards for years before finding HB, and there is a world of difference. More topics, longer conversations, better humor, fewer annoying flame wars, and HuskerBoard moves at the speed of light when news breaks. It's usually the first one to have breaking info...better than some boards that you have to pay for! [/testimonial]

Does BC stand for Bill Callahan? If so, are there seriously any "Bill Callahan lovers" out there? Or is that just a label that gets slapped on to people who buy into stars and recruiting rankings? I think it's possible to be a stargazer without being a Callahan lover... On topic, I am extremely biased towards speedy guys, b/c they can turn short plays into long ones. Hopefully this guy pans out and gives Nebraska a look.
  15. That looked like a "Best Hits of the Year" compilation. Wow.
  16. One thing I didn't mention that I meant to was that most of his long balls were dead on. That's nice to see.
  17. I only watched the first 20 plays or so, so take that into consideration. However, some things that stand out to me in the video: - He typically locks on to one receiver before deciding to throw it to that receiver or take off running. I didn't see too many plays in that early set where he looked off a receiver or went through progressions, although he looked better in clips from that second game. That said, his offensive line barely gave him enough time to catch the snap, so he didn't really have time to go through progressions. His tendency to lock onto receivers actually helps him with his running game, though. - It seems like the shorter pass he throws, the longer it takes to get there. He doesn't really rifle in the shorter ones...which, honestly, is probably better for our receivers - He is fast.
  18. Here's the big question: did he hesitate to throw/run because of the injury? If so...I say let's start fresh with Lee and see what he can do. If he was hesitant last year for other reasons (e.g., didn't want to make a mistake, wasn't sure what to do, etc.), then I am concerned. This is a fast game, and those half second hesitations had an impact. Also, Lee was noticeably off on most of his throws. Most were too high/low, behind the receiver, etc. If our receivers were better, they could've brought a lot of Lee's passes in, but alas...Was that due to injury as well? Again...I'm hoping so. If all of Lee's "faults" were due to that injury, he could be a heck of a QB next year.
  19. I thought this story was pretty entertaining.... This guy played 5 total minutes in the NBA and racked up 3 rebounds and 5 fouls. Kevin Winter Here are some of my favorite snippets:
  20. I am leaning towards Enunwa as well, but for the sake of originality, I'll say KENNY BELL...I like my chances because it could be on offense, defense, or special teams.
  21. Here is a still from his It looks like he might have trouble breaking down stuff that happens on the far side of the field.
  22. Yeah, that's kind of my point. The kids we end up with under Bo just don't seem to be the typical primadonna-type kids...which is why I am really excited about this class.
  23. We've got Turner and two great o-lineman N, and we are high on a great RB (Aaron Green) and another great lineman (Westerman). Nice to see us attacking the offense early. I haven't been scouring the 2011 pages recently, but it doesn't seem like we are talking much about guys on Bo's favorite side of the ball. Who are our top defensive 2011 targets that I should start stalking following?
  24. knapp, if you haven't heard Ashburn and Moudy, check them out as well. I came away really impressed with all of them, but Moudy really stood out. He could be a good leader down the road.
