  1. I think we're less relevant than we think we are since we find it necessary to debate about how relevant we are.
  2. Ridiculous. Martinez isn't a pocket passer. His legs are his best weapons. If he can't run the defense will just sit back and not rush since he wouldn't be a threat with his legs. Martinez isn't good enough to beat a defense with his arm the entire game. Oklahoma St. 2010 Southern Miss 2012 Northwestern 2012 Minnesota 2012 Now if we could list more than 4 games there, I think you'd be on to something...
  3. It unlawful to ... deliberately intercept ... through the use of any “electronic, mechanical, or other device,” any ... oral communications, unless the interceptor has previously obtained a court order permitting the interception or is a party to the communication, or one of the parties to the communication has previously consented to the interception. State v. Strohl, 255 Neb. 918, 923, 587 N.W.2d 675, 680 (1999) Basically, don't say anything in this great state that you don't want anyone else to know because the person you say it to is a party to the communication and has the right to record it without your knowledge or permission.
  4. Wait, what?? In the OWH. Barfknecht should be taken with a grain of salt, but here it is: http://www.omaha.com.../130918903/1001 Why does that article make me feel like the media's disdain for Bo and the leak are completely connected?
  5. I think Bo is staying until Bo decides he doesn't want to stay anymore. I do not believe he will lose his job over this tape, it's far too old. Ironically, the leaker probably thought his timing was good - it wasn't. There's no way we ditch our head coach after game 3. It would kill our season, our reputation, and most of all ruin the players' hard work. Bo will act conciliatory (and who knows maybe he is) and we'll all hunker down together and weather the storm. That said, I think this will solidify the thoughts that Bo so easily (not to mention passionately) expressed 2 years ago. He's biding his time and has no allegiance to Nebraska. He certainly doesn't after this mudslinging anyway. He'll wait until this dies down and he can repair his battered image and he'll try and find a better situation for himself. He is no doubt livid about this intrusion into private (or semi-private) fuming. Wouldn't you be? He doesn't trust this place and he won't stay. But it'll be his choice.
  6. What a gloomy week.

  7. I just wish Bo would include the fans as part of the "us." If the players are conditioned to believing the fans are against them too, what good does that do for their psyches? I go back and forth about Bo's coaching abilities (players love him and I think he truly cares about players), but I have always hated that he won't embrace us as fans. Sure, there is a subset of fans that will always be critical - you get that with any higher profile coaching job. Bottom line, the fans love the team and Bo should/should have embraced that and used it to ignite the players.
  8. Spot on, Husker_x, as per usual. The minute I felt the momentum shift going into halftime I felt a little twinge of doubt. Then of course I felt like a horrible fan, expecting only the worse when the sunshine pumpers tell us we just "need to BOlieve." "Osborne took years!" they tell me. Be patient, stop doubting. But the doubt, I've come to realize, has been conditioned. Something similar to a Pavlov's response. Instead of drooling when the dinner bell rings, I see a big play for the other team (maybe we fumble or throw a pick or any number of things we do all the time) and I wait for the inevitable self-implosion. I usually don't have to wait for long. The floodgates open suddenly and one error becomes ten errors which becomes a big fat "L." How many times have we seen this same, sad story? Enough is enough already. I love my team, but they are a bunch of heartbreakers. We are lacking mental fortitude when the lights shine the brightest and I think that comes from the top down.
  9. I couldn't help but here an evil character cackle after that statement. But can't say I disagree.
  10. Sadly agree. Had really hoped to see him carry the team ala Rex. Even though he has the yrds, he looks average. Martinez, running, has never looked this bad. Instead of tucking and going North he runs around. Total regression IMO. <img class="UMSRatingIcon" id="ums_img_tooltip" /> Cross has looked great, but yet we don't see him much. I'd have to assume the coaches see more in Ameer from week to week... but then again the coaches aren't really earning my trust right now...
  11. It's amazing to me that this is the same team from the first half. Unless I was seeing it, I wouldn't believe it.
  12. Would love to see more run. Since it's working and all.
  13. This is the best game we've had on national television in a long time *knocks on wood*
  14. We should have had a first down there. Disappointing. It's misses like that that come back to haunt us in close games.
