a 20 is automatic acceptance into any of the state universities, but i dont know if there is a set minimum. i think its up to the university (and coaches) to look at the rest of his numbers/achievements, like GPA and such

because he gets hundreds if not thousands of emails like that weekly I'm sure. he can find them scattered amongst all the ones calling for watson's head - honestly though...Bo doesn't check/read the public email. some may get filtered to him - but for the most part he sees few if any. he has more important things to do than sit at his desk and read a bunch of love letters from fans... yes, im sure the responsibility of running a college football team takes up every meaningful second of his life. the mighty bo pelini is far too good to even read the common fans email. more importantly, why are you so quick to condemn a fans kind gesture? im sure he gets enough emails from people telling him how to do his job, so for him, or whoever has to read them at the time, this is a nice change of pace. dont bash this guy for thanking our head coach

you forgot one -doesnt like the crazy conspiracy theories that seem to circulate around our "loyal" fanbase.

its probably not a good idea to "attack" people on the board when youre new. before you start calling other immature, look at what youre doing here. listen, if people want to talk to tom, they can email him. he makes himself very open to discussion from fans and (speaking from personal experience) to students. the fact that the man chose to respond clearly states that he didnt think this email was a complete waste of time. im sure "your tax dollars", however precious they are, are going to good use. you should be happy we have an AD like this. its something that few schools in the country get to treasure.

as long as you were well-mannered in your e-mail, go ahead and state your feelings. the people that are saying that you shouldnt have emailed him are wrong, and it really shows something that he took the time to email you back, especially on a topic like this. tom knows how much weight his opinions and decisions carry in this state thanks for sharing

i thought i read something about this game being rated 32/35 on rivals.com its a terrible, terrible game

never works. qb is different from hb or wr. it requires a strong leadership element which you dont get when your constantly cycling qbs

give him time. if he's at qb its because thats where he can make the greatest impact

i believe some of your facts are wrong... we dont call ourselves the "classiest" fans. that would be absurd. rather, its the "best" fans. this is harder to argue with when you factor in the 300+ sellout streak, especially when you consider that nebraska in november = the arctic circle. we've never been known to be the classiest fans, and thats a mistake that i see a lot of people making on this board lately. when you state that we applaud opposing teams that we've crushed, i'm not sure that's actually true. instead, i know our fans have applauded for an Oklahoma team that came to Memorial Stadium and blew us out, and thats something that ive rarely seen in sports today we've always been known for telling people how it is. i hate listening to analysts that call our fanhood title into question after we boo refs or after the dan beebe incident. what do they expect us to do? roll over and take it? i dont think so. if you give us respect, we'll give it back twice over. but if you try to trample over us and treat us like a floor mat, you're going to hear from us. thats the way its always been, and thats how it'll continue to be.
