  1. And next year, the best is yet to come. (A. Green) (If we had a fingers crossed icon it would be right here)
  2. I dont agree with us throwing his parents under the bus. But I will say that Tyler Gabbert brought on all the shots he takes around here on himself. You dont make all the statements he did about being 100% committed to NU and then do what he did. Oh, you also dont contact NU committed kids and try to sway them away from NU. The word is that Gabbert and Carter tried that on Quincy Enunwa. They didnt try to get him to commit to MU; just decommit from NU.
  3. While I don't disagree there, one has to consider that not every player can play for the best coached defense every year, So you are admitting that Hoch isnt that good??? huh?
  4. Been saying this exact thing the whole time.
  5. Word around some other boards is that MU stopped recruiting Carter and TCU is now his leader.
  6. Then dont commit to a school on the spot. List that school as your leader but withhold your committment until you have taken other visits. See: O.O.
  7. Mizzou is just puzzling at best. They have 14 WRs returning next year and yet they will sign 4????? Puzzling.
  8. one comment does not undo all the hours spent recruiting this guy. Pelini likes the power running that Alabama presents. In no way does that mean we need a Mcelroy clone... that means we need a dominating offensive line and some legit RB's. A Dual Threat adds another dimension to that. Turner would be a great get, and could be a serious weapon for us. He is fully aware of what we would like to do on offense in the future. Also. I am sure that Jamal knew of our new direction all along as the coaches probably discussed this with him before he said "Nebraska is the clear cut leader."
  9. You never know how people will come back from a knee injury. I mean we all had VERY high hopes for Chris Williams but a knee injury seemed to have haulted his development. So it all depends how Ricky comes back from the injury.
  10. Starting Safties next year PJ Smith Courtney Osborne or Eric Hagg
  11. Gotta love that Pipeline that we are creating in Moreno Valley as we have stolen Eric Martin AND Quincy Enunwa from that area.
  12. Maybe, but I think it would depend more upon Sim's level of comfort coaching WR's. You know Beck can do it well and I would guess that Sims would be good with the RB's based upon his offensive philosophy and back ground. Who knows though. The other thing to consider is that Beck wasn't just the WR coach at KU, he was the Passing Game Coordinator. Maybe he moves up to a role like that to assist Wats and then coaching WR's makes sense? That is true. Did not know that Beck was the passing game coordinator at KU. The year that he was at KU they had a pretty explosive passing attack. I think Beck might also be a recruiting coordinator in training as well. What I like about MOST of this staff is that they seem almost content to be here. They seem very proud to say that they coach at Nebraska.
  13. I wonder if Curtis Carter has been calling Turner yet telling him how terrible NU is.
  14. Green and Moore are the locks that I mentioned. There is talk that Reeves is getting consideration for 5 stars, Definately a high four star kid. Have not heard too much about Westerman lately, other than Moore is trying to get him N. Based on his offers list you can see that he could be mentioned as a five star kid as well.
  15. I believe your list to be pretty accurate. Hagg will definately get a shot at the other safety spot as it appears PJ is the clear cut leader at the other. With that said I dont think that we will be thin by any means. With recruiting we will add: Harvey Jackson and HOPEFULLY Corey Cooper. All the kids mentioned above will have another year with Pelini and Marvin Sanders coaching in addition to another year learning the system. Look what they did with Asante. The athletic ability with him was always there but in his junior year he was an assignment disaster. In one year they made him an all-big 12 safety.
  16. IMO he is better than what rivals gives him credit for. http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/...26season%3d2010
  17. i hate the sh#t these guys pull......... sooo pissed.... here we are do all the work and then just can't seem to close or maintain recruits who have a high value.... i hope our staff is maintaining contact and keeping ups Quincy is solid. But anything can happen.
  18. He reminds me of a Tyrod Taylor. Undersized at being around six feet tall, and seems to have a strong arm, and you're not going to find many QB's with more quickness and ability to make a big play when the pocket breaks down. He could be used in design runs frequently with success (zone-read, options). I expect him to be ranked as one of the top Dual-Threat QB's in the country for the 2011 class, and we'd be very lucky to have him. just what i wanted to hear....... Good thing about it is is that we are really going to have to F up not to get him. Think about next year's possible recruiting class... Green Moore Reeves Westerman Turner There are 2 sure fire 5 star recruits in that bunch as well as two other boarderline 5 star kids.
  19. It has been said that Carl Pelini is one of the most respected Asst. coaches out in Cali. Enunwa is a STEAL!!!
  20. Back to the topic. The word on other boards is that Pinkle told Gabbert and CC to contact Quincy and sway him away from NU. There is another reason to hate MU.
  21. Guess I missed it. What did he say? He basically said how much we suck, talked trash on our facilities and our school, also said that all of our recruits are going to decommit because we suck. He also talked to Quincy Enunwa about decommitting as well.
  22. Could this be one of the kids that contacted Carl Pelini after the CCG?
  23. It is interesting that 2 players in 3 years that Pelini has coached have both been dubbed "Once in a lifetime players" isnt it?
  24. My guess would be that if it isnt broke dont fix it. So you leave Beck where he is at and place Sims at WRs coach. If Sims does come to the staff.
