That's a new one that I haven't heard of . Yeah, the rumor is we got a package deal from Ft. Scott. Their HC, Jeff Sims and 2 players, LaVonte David and Yoshi Hardrick. Supposedly Sims & Carl Pelini worked together at Minnesota State Mankato years ago, so they have history together. Carl Pelini is very high on Sims as well. After the CCG I dont think Carl is going anywhere for awhile. I think he wants to be at a place that he can beat the Longhorns.

What makes you so sure?

He isnt really pulling his weight on the recruiting trail it has been said. Is he out you think? If he is out, lets go get Frost!!! Thoughts? Opinions?

I can see this. I really hope this is the case. Crabtree NORMALLY knows what he is talking about. Not always. He did say that Austin Hill was an NU lock. I wouldnt imagine us just saying "oh sorry austin. we want tyler evans to play your spot instead of you." No disrespect to Tyler, he is a great athlete in his reguard and I wish him the best at NU. But Austin Hill is one of the best WRs we are in one. Something is not right about this. I have said it in a lot of other threads. Dont underestimate the staff. Also, dont think that Bo Pelini doesnt know EXACTLY what he is doing.

That is good news. I hadnt read anything on Quincy in several weeks so I was completely out of the loop with him. I then saw him on film and realized he is a "cant miss" talent. I expect great things from him. He is the best WR IMO that we are in on. Willis Wright might be the other one. Reguarding Gilmore-We have a guy in Tim Beck who coached WRs at KU. IMO Beck has been doing a great job with our RBs so "if it isnt broke dont fix it." If Gilmore is in fact gone then have someone take care of the recruits he was in contact with?????? But what do I know right???

Athletes Athletes Athletes. You bring in guys like Jackson and maybe Cooper and it can never hurt your football team. Cooper and Jackson could quite possibly play either LB or Safety.

I could not agree more. It would make absolutely no sense at all to recruit kids like Carnes and Turner to be a drop back passer. It makes no sense if they try to do the same thing with CG.

I read the same article. When you go back and look at some of the formations we were running out of early in the season we were running out of spread formations. Zac Lee out of the shot gun, zone reads, speed option. Not that the zone reads or the speed options worked but we ran them. Same offense that we ran for the 2nd half in 2008 also. I am betting though that we will see many more power formations used than what Watson was using back then. 100% agree. We wont scrap the power game I dont think. We will still line it up and run at teams when need be.

As it was mentioned above the Hoch loss hurt. We lost 3 good lineman in that class to other schools in Hoch, Givens, and Robinson. There is our offensive problems right there. You add those three to our two deep rotation and we would have been a very dangerous running team.

In his build and everything I see a Larry Asante in him. From some of the rivals articles on him and what I have read I am very excited about him.

So will he drag this decision into March or even April? From what I have heard his timeframe is now until signing day.

From what I have heard and read the kid is more interested in playing RB rather than DB.

They do have 14 returning WR's. However, 3 are walk-on types who likely will only play special teams at best. 2 will be seniors and 3 juniors. So at the upper end, pretty thin. And overall pretty inexperienced. So, of 11 receivers, 2 or 3 probably just won't cut it, and will see little field time. That leave about 8 or 9 for a team that puts 3 or 4 receivers per play. You need depth. I'd love to see Hunt, Carter, Lucas and Sasser all commit. Mizzou is a throwing team and will be for the foreseeable future. Thank you for the clarification.

I was told that his team wasnt very good to put it nicely. They say he is a true dual threat QB. I hope he grows to be about 6ft2 which he could. You have to think the kid is probably only 16. His 4.51 40 time is legit though.
