I'm with you on the fantasy ending- that would be epic. But we'll have our hands more than full with NW. And Connor Cook threw for 300+ against Michigan's #1 defense; he could throw for 700 yards against us if we don't get our pass D tightened up. I wouldn't expect miracles from the secondary. We will be walking the same guys out there that we have all year long. Cook can throw for 400+ on us and it won't mean jack crap if we hold them to FG's and pick him off once or twice. The offense will have to be able to cover it. I expect Cook to have a strong day.

Ya'll better pay attention to college football a little bit more. You celebrate wins in this game, each and every week. They don't come easy anymore. Everyone has talent, and if your opponent finds the right formula on any given Saturday, you can find yourself on the losing end. Memphis beat Ole Miss yesterday and games like this are happening every week and more and more frequently. Bo Pelini and his undying commitment to one of the worst defensive schemes ever to screw the Blackshirt tradition is the reason 408 is even a thing. 408 yards were ran on the Blackshirts by one guy, in three quarters of football. RADAR wasn't the "guru" behind those numbers. I guarantee you, right now I stamp my name on it, Banker won't ever allow his defense to give up 408 yards to one running back in his time as Nebraska defensive coordinator.

Pelini did apologize for not having his team ready to play. I don't think Nebraska fans have heard one of those yet this year from their head coach They've lost three games in the final seconds of the game and one loss in overtime. What is there to apologize for? He's not in his 5th, 6th, or 7th season here having blowout losses. You know what else he's not saying. "I haven't forgotten how to coach defense and how to stop the run." Seems to me Riley stays pretty level headed and doesn't need to get too down with a loss, or gloat when he gets the win.

Injuries are a part of football. Nebraska has them too. If Nebraska doesn't get to make any "excuses" when they lose a close game like every single one of their losses has been, then Minnesota doesn't get "excuses" from Husker fans as to why Nebraska went into Minnesota and put a beat down on them.
