You all can't afford to lose another game if you want the CCG, might be able to survive after this week but not with another loss. I think Husker fans would be better off if they forget about playing in the Conference Championship this year. Really people, you watched the game yesterday right? Maybe it's time to temper the expectations of this team a bit. These kids have a long ways to go before they call themselves "Blackshirts" in my opinion. Penn State and Michigan in thier houses is a pretty tall order. I don't know if any of you saw the Hawkeyes game either, but they don't exactly look like a cake walk. And guess what they like to do.......they run the ball between the tackles right into the softest part of this team....our defensive line. When I say soft, I mean soft. They have a guy named Coker that hits the hole and goes, no fancy bullsh#t. If our LB'ers and safeties are out of positon he will burn us.

Why did we drop so far? They act like a team with a losing record came into Lincoln and beat our asses.......oh wait..........nevermind.

There's definitely a lack of passion and aggression on this team. I hate to say that, because it was the one thing about Nebraska I was most proud of. There's been something missing for a long time. Team chemistry is at an all time low as well in my opinion. It just doesn't seem like it's a brotherhood anymore. These guys just don't get pissed. They get pushed around and don't push back. They get cheap shotted and don't cheap shot back. Their fellow LB'er gets blasted, they don't pay the sucker back on the next play. Burkhead picks himself off the turf every play. Where's a hand to help him up? The lineman breathe hard and walk around with their hands on their hips. Where's the love from these guys? If their not playing for each other then what the hell are they doing out there? Don't play for us, play for your team fellas. It's you who has to wake up and look in the mirror each day. You have to answer to yourself. Nobody else. Did you give it everything you've got yesterday? If you say yes, I say bullsh#t. I watched you quit. Don't be that team again.

Frank got fired because a lot of people overreacted. Those people include Nebraska fans by the thousands. People have got to stop thinking we are going to go undefeated every year or we are going to ruin this program and run everything good about it into the dirt. Frank's firing was a mistake.....let's not make the same mistake twice with Bo.

I've heard that Missouri to SEC official crap about 5 times now. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm gonna love seeing Missouri get their ass handed to them every week in the SEC.

We lost the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. We fumbled in two key spots. We couldn't stop them from driving down the field and eating the clock at the end of the 4th. The game was lost between those 3 things. That's it. This has happened the last 5 years or so guys. Will it take ten years to get used to this? Nebraska is not an elite program anymore. We have gravitated toward "mediocrity".

I just hope the team turns their attention to Penn State too. Or do we overlook these guys now and move on to Michigan?

Apparently Penn State likes to take advantage of little boys. Thank God our defense plays like a bunch of girls or we would be in trouble.

I just hope our defense stays far away from Mr. Sandusky. We couldn't fight off Northwestern, they might not be able to fight off the Penn St. chimo.

We don't play an aggressive style of defense. The top recruits in the country don't want to come to Nebraska and play patty cake patty cake baker man. They want to blitz, they want to hit somebody. They want to dominate. Bend but don't break defense at Nebraska looks more like bend over and take it defense.

We just lost at home to Northwestern. In our house to freaking Northwestern. I'd say the odds of beating Penn St. and Michigan both on the road are very slim. Temper the expectations folks. Your only setting yourselves up for disappointment.

Big Ten conference has announced the game will be televised to a national audience on ESPN at 11 am.

You too! I love watching Nebraska lose and then get to watch my Broncos on Sunday. There's so many similarities between the two teams it's actually scary.

Yeah...we didn't lose because the fans failed to fire up the team. If the team needs that to get amped up, then I guess we can just pencil in 6 or so losses every year for every away game. I've watched this team a long time and I tell you it's almost like watching another team out there when the crowd gets behind these guys.

This bend but don't break defense bends all the way down the field for long drives, then breaks. We have got to get aggressive out there. Make them break us, instead of just bending us over.

Northwestern is very underrated. That football team is light years ahead of Nebraska right now.

No adjustments on defense. Lb'ers trying to cover receivers. Not enough blitzing. Not enough showing blitzes then backing out. No confusion. No pressure. Four man rush all day long. Contain without containing. Slot receivers running wide open. Ciante Evans really struggling. Eric Martin not on the field enough. We don't take away short routes, Db's playing way too far off the ball. No bump coverage, Short routes all day long. Too easy.

Some people take this stuff way too seriously. Just like they take Husker football way too seriously. I hope your life goes on when we win and lose. These are college kids playing a game folks. Some of us like to talk about it. If it's going to raise your blood pressure, or kill your heart, then yes, maybe you should take a break.

You could definitely tell watching the game on TV that the team came out flat and so did the crowd. Sometimes our crowd can get the team fired up, but I guess the fans just had no interest in doing that.

Yea, that seems to be the way of it around here. Husker fans crack me up. I'll take 10 wins each year, 9 regular season and a bowl game.

Thorell was put in many bad situation by the coaches yesterday. He was stuck on some match-ups that he had no chance of winning, yet the coaches repeatedly did it. Also, our four man rush, which we again never changed, was getting no pressure on the NW QB's. You can't expect Thorell, Cassidy, Dennard, Green, or anybody on this planet to cover WR's for 20 seconds. Their QB's had all damn day! What's sad is that our defensive line doesn't even pin their ears back and heavy rush the QB. They play contain, and as you can see, they didn't contain a damn thing. We hardly blitzed and when we did, I have to say I thought they were some very poorly designed blitzes.

Expectations are like a$$hole$. Everybody's got them. Errrr something like that.
