  1. The kid's a TRUE freshman, and its not the Osbone offense where there's only 5 different plays run out of 10 different formations. This offense is too damn complicated for a 1st year player to take on. Lee knows it better, but his talent can't back it up, Green is obviously a better talent, but aint got the Off. figgered out yet. Hence Sam Keller and Joe Ganz. It was Keller's 1st full season (he played scout team his bench transfer year) running the offense and Ganz 4th. That's why Ganz made him look pitiful when he got his shot. This is a "ride the bench for 2 or 3 years to learn, they play 1 or 2 years when you have it down" offense. and that's what scares me. We never really sit on one guy to build a substantial run with liek we did Frazier and Crouch, cuz they cant handle mentally. It's a constant game of musical QB's, playin only juniors and seniors cuz of their mental grasp on an offense that frankly, I beleive is just too complicated for college football. Now i know theyve simplified over the last 6 weeks and went to power, but our current personnel is not built for that either.
  2. Im wasting away a sunday running thru the web about all this Heisman stuff, and is it possible we will witness history, Is it actually going to happen. Seriously, ive been reading ALOT of national media writings today, and I mean everyone has jumped on the Suh train. Is it really gonna happen by chance? He really didtn do anything we havent seen all year, but this time it was on a national stage, against the best of the best, when everyone essentially had nothing else to watch, you imagine all the dropped jaws from voters who heard and read about Suh, but never actually "saw" him, watching him completely dominate a game like that.
  3. Even got caught trying to break his knee in half, twice.
  4. Who cares? It was in the heat of the moment. I'm so sick of all this BS about how worried people are about the teams' and fans' "image", I'm about to lose it. Some people need to grow a pair & learn to deal with it. EXACTLY, STAND UP FOR YOURSELF AND DONT BE SO DAMN PASSIVE ALL THE TIME, THAT'S WHAT CALLAHAN WAS. I guarantee one thing after all this, the players, as if they wouldnt already, will do anything for this group of coaches. And Bo is truly concerned about the mental well-being of his players after this, He told Sharp last night, he didnt even care about the bowl game, there was plenty of time for that, he was just worried about his guys right now.
  5. But that was too obvious a play on that int. I'm not barking about full blown, premeditated conspiracy, but dont anyone think it's possible at that very moment they thought they could squeeze on more second out of it, just to give em "a chance" . You know what's a real shame, that we didnt block that kick, so see what kind of penalty woulda been called. Now think about this, and i mean THINK about it, as close as it was, would they, in your heart, had put that second on if the situation been reversed and it was Nebraska trying to get a field goal, and running a play like that almost running out of time. I say NO.
  6. Obviously the world of College Football has changed since then, but to me it is still just as much about psychology and heart and passion as it is talen and X's and O's. With that being said, does a game like this translate today into a run like we had after the Florida St. ass-raping in 93. This is a seroius question, and i want some thoughts on this. With this group of coaches, Osborne as AD, and so on, does this enrage players so much, regardless of their recruiting star count, that they simply work HARDER than anyone else. Osborne understood the psychology part of college football, so did Solich (his talent pool just started to fade a bit), Billber did not. Is a loss like this what this team needs as THE TOOL to take motivation to a whole other level?
  7. Can we make a straight across trade, and assume all salary responsibilities like they do with players in the NFL
  8. This goes back to the clock issue on the tv. What clock was that ABC used in the replays, cuz if you watch the replay of the actual live action, the clock is at 0 when the ballhits the ground, then on the replay, that goofy clock they were showin, one of which i have never seen, is at one, and notice on that how the play clock is NOT running either. Call me a nutty bar or whatever, but i just believe there is more to this. Am i off my rocker, cuz i've watched over and over again too.
  9. I have to agree, just didnt want to say it. Here's the truth. Nebraska outplayed Texas on BOTH sides of the ball. Yes, both. We're all pissed about the offense, but damnit, they did get the yards when they had to, they scored the 12 points we needed to win. So similar to 93 orange bowl against Florida St. We won, we know it. Enough of the sympathy and "you earned a lot of respect" bla bla bla. We've proven SIX straight games now, and a total of 8 games this year, that with a defense this good, the offense can be that bad, and they do the bare minimum and doesnt screw it up. Last night we did enuff, everyone in the whole country knows it.
  10. That's because everyone love Adi, and no one wants to take away our reason for takin a shoe off at every home game before the kickoff.
  11. Yep, he shouldof just let shiply go and score a td, then there woulda been time for our offense to go out and make a fool out of himself again, then musberger coulda blown his load in his pants about the mccoy hiesman moment he just saw. Oh i forgot
  12. I know we all said the sun would come up today, but is anyone really sure it has?
  13. Thank you sir, Spiller has a better shot at Heisman than Suh, and He and Gerhardt deserve it more than the other 3.
  14. OMFinG USC IS OUT THE TOP 25, AND WE MOVED UP AFTER A LOSS. MAYBE THIS 2012 sh#t IS TRUE.
  15. We talk about penalties, Texas had a couple called on them too, but the 15 yarders on us were called at "opportunistic" times, major infractions called on 2nd and 3rd and long, controversial calls that did nothing but bail Texas out and keep alive scoring drives. But i also agree with the point of no offense.
  16. My problem is need more uniformity on calls. If the Big 12 states it isn't reviewable then it should have never been regardless if it was the right call or not. I don't have much of a problem with the call, but I definitely thought the clock ABC was using in the shot seemed a little fishy. I've seen plenty of clocks used in those type of shots and none of them looked like the one ABC was using in that particular shot. Normally the clock shown is the scoreboard clock, the one they used didn't look like the scoreboard clock. Either way we fell short, but I couldn't be prouder of the effort. Are you f'ing serious. I've been thinking the same damn thing since I saw it on TV. All the football ive watched in my life, ive never saw anything like that. I was just waitin to see if anyone else mentioned it. Maybe Bo has a point and maybe Mack hopin for one second was on a prayer and a whim (or just a simple reminder ) Either way this could trigger a situation to keep an eye one thru tommorrow and monday.
  17. But in all honesty, The line is really the only unit all year that has shown any improvement whatsoever. The best measure of coaching is improvement, We havent seen any all year, the Kansas game was a couple steps forward, but the K-state game was noghtin to brag about , Colorado was a step back and tonight, well we fell on our ass. Everything will be ok tho, why?
  18. The best thing about this article is it seems to portray Dr. Osborne's support for the brother's in this whole deal, whether he agrees or not, just supporting them for he knows more than anyone what they're goin thru tonight, and with that said, i will not say anything about what they do if Dr. Osborne is in support.
  19. Sorry guys, i have to clear this up, What i meant by "it was more that the one second" is there seemed to be a heck of a lot more controversial issues in officiating than that one issue, which lets face they got that one right. Tryin to take out Suh's knee all night, only callin it twice, 0 holding penalties, i remember seein one every other play that stuck out like a sore thumb, not to mention mccoy's td run, suh was dragged by his jersey 5 yards downfield. just a number of things compiled into a full out explosion by carl and Bo. Anyway, i didtn mean more than one second, as in 2 or 3 seconds.
  20. Nothing to lead into it, when we all calm down tommorrow-for i already have and have reviewed the facts of the game-The Brothers and everyone else will understand. It is very frustrating. I think what was happening is Carl and Bo orchestrating considering the adversity, opponent, and lack of own offense, the greatest defensive performance in the history of College Football, and still not winning. They wanted to take it out on somethin. Most of all, and i think we all agree on this, it was more than the 1 second. Some things happened during the game that just make me wonder. I just wonder. I am by no means a conspiracy guy, but dont you ever just think what if.
  21. BUT..... He'll probably playin in the NFL, and dont forget the 3 months leading up to the draft and all hte spec. of where he'll be drafted. It's sad to say, but the Tebow talk may just be beginning. I even heard Obama want to hire him as Czar of sumtin sumtin.
  22. Yeah, and Herbstreit tellin how many millions of viewers we shouldnt help but feel sorry for him. Hmmm, let's see, A God in the sports world already, multimillion dollar NFL contract comin, 2 national title rings, a possible 2nd hiesman trophy. Yeah, I feel real sorry for the baby.
  23. Outside of his talent and direct effect on a game, he is a terrific leader, I saw him "coaching" his fellow linemates tonight in the thick of battle.
  24. I agree, go for it. They do deserve it.
  25. It's a forgotten play, actually lead to some points, tho i doubt his presence actually had an impact except for the fact that Burkhead cutback out of Suh's direction.
