  1. Didn't want to explain the joke, but that was a Dodgeball reference.
  2. Hate to complain about the refs, but I'm complaining about the refs. Last 3 by Lawrence he gets hit on the arm exactly like coach's younger son who got a 4 point play early in the 2nd half for Io_a. Just seemed like the refs were afraid of the coach and didn't want to make a call on Io_a to avoid the acting up until the end of the game where their need to make the over-exaggerated charging call overruled their fear. Great win by the team though. Due to the loss against MSU I expected Io_a to start running away with the game when they got up 7 in the second half, but the guys fought back and grabbed some of the mojo from their first win against Io_a to prevent them from making a field goal in like the last 6 minutes.
  3. No clue, but it's a little easier than when I thought her mom was a coach at Creighton.
  4. Yeah it was overall fine, but it just feels different. Think it's because there's this overall storyline that Mando is working towards that I don't vibe with (1st season had him keeping Grogu safe, and then 2nd trying to find a Jedi to teach Grogu). If they want to say something about religious zealotry with the sect in question and how archaic and dangerous some practices are, then I might like it better.
  5. Just watched and I'm not sure what to feel. First episode was definitely table setting for what the rest of the season is going to focus on. Still not a big fan of the sect that Din is apart of.
  6. Reason he played is that Blaise reagravated his ankle against Maryland, but he played some quality minutes to give Walker a breather.
  7. Coming back to this, but it seems like NU's gotten up by 10-14, then gotten complacent and allowed Minnesota to come back, but never closer than 6 points. Like an OK team should do to a bad team. There were a couple moments where it felt like they were in a bad place, but they've never felt out of control.
  8. Nebraska's been missing some shots that they've been making in previous games, but its really only Griesel's who's been inconsistent this game. Defense (and Minnesota's offense suddenly becoming capable) has had some lapses also that's allowed open shots that they've made has kept things close.
  9. Sound mixing by the network has been poor since the start. Announcers are too high and the crowd noise is turned down on TV. Disappointing.
  10. Lawrence has a little Glynn Watson in him. Edit: Needs to work on his free throws though.
  11. Alternate history where the powers that be don't mess with Carter's admin during the Iran hostage crisis and he pulls out a victory over Reagan to get a second term. World's probably a better place now.
  12. Saw that they're putting the court in the north endzone with tickets being $25.00 per opening up to season ticket holders first on 4/25 and then general public on 4/26. My bet, the total attendance is going to easily reach north of 50,000 because people love volleyball in Nebraska and people also love novelty. I'd almost bet that it would sell out the stadium if it wasn't on a Wednesday night.
  13. Think Northwestern's coach has that pretty much locked up right now.
  14. That's two or three games now where Walker and Blaise have been on the floor together and produced positive results.
  15. Its this and the coaching by the assistant coaches. Fred brought the guys who did it at ISU before he left for the NBA, but the college game had passed them by. They got good players, but they didn't have a good team where people knew their roles and played to them. I think the injuries to Gray and Bando are the cause because it put pressure on Keisei to figure things out on the offensive end and allowed Fred to maximize the players he had. I don't think we have the same team if there are no injuries. It'd be great if we could get those guys back now to plug into a rotation that has a better definition on the roles. Blaise is the big man that Nebraska has looked for forever. Walker is good, but he's a better 4 and works better without needing to cover the other teams biggest player. I hope everyone who can come back, does for next year. Hope that the powers that be can work something out with NIL and international players. I want to watch one more year of Keisei.
  16. All these no calls are overcorrecting from the beginning of the 2nd half where a bunch of touch fouls were called on NU.
  17. Lot of soft fouls on NU in the 2nd half.
  18. He's supposedly bringing Muchachos to Omaha.
  19. The national anthem should only be played when the national teams are playing. It should not be played before any and all collegiate or professional sports.
  20. God Wisconsin is frustrating in how they play. They'll do little things and keep doing it until they get called on it by the refs (their defense against Keisei at times). Glad the team made adjustments, but man this team can be frustrating. It took them 5 minutes to get rid of the hole they dug. At this time, the team goes where Keisei does. If he's hitting shots and scoring points, then the offense runs effectively. Sam's too passive at times and Walker's a 4 playing as a 5. Keita worked well today because Wisconsin had two "bigs" and Keita could effectively guard his guy alone. I hope we get one more year of Keisei, for all his faults on the defensive end, he's the most exciting player on the court.
