Some of you have apparently misunderstood what I was asking and some got it. It is NOT that I care about what a message board thinks of me, I have a lovely wife, 3 boys and 3 grandchildren, so my life is full. I just don't get the hate. I read numerous postings even Knapp's the other day and there was no discussion, just "shut the hell up you stupid thieves, cheater", and what ever adjectives they could string together to enforce their view. Really. I hate Texas or maybe its just the color orange, I hated Oklahoma and respect their program at the same time, and we have had good banter between the board and I have respect for the majority of their fans on the board (maybe not Texas, Shaggeybevo is a tough place to like) but there is no respect or like on the Wyo boards towards any Husker fan.

I like to read opposing team message boards. I don't troll in the sense that I don't join or post, just like to gauge the online fan base. I know the majority of message poster aren't representative of their fan base and a lot post just to fire up their fans and get them excited. I get a good laugh. Now I have nothing against the Cowboys, but for some reason the majority of the posters seem to hate N. They talk about how all Husker fans live in the past but constantly say we owe them for Devaney. Really? They add that the were a big deal in the 60's and that Dr. Tom is a crook, cheater, win at all cost, has deep pockets to pay for players..it goes on as tho he were still coach.(Living in the past) I know there are a lot of Husker fans in Wyoming and that must hurt. I worked in an area of Omaha for years where it seemed like EVERYONE wore Miami gear. They add that N is and was afraid to play Wyoming and that we ran from them, for years. One poster even said that he was at the game where the applauded Ricky Williams but saw the fans throw beer and obscenities at the TX fans. Beer? in a dry stadium. I could go on and I like their spirit but do not understand the hatred. I read this board for years before I joined and I know there are some Cowboy fans posting here. Maybe they can explain it. This isn't "Well its just a message board", no they seem to really hate N. 75 to 1 ratio easy.

When did this turn into a bash Martinez thread? It was merely started because a chart was funny and some talk about correcting his mechanics over decision making. Now, some of you are throwing T-Mart under the bus?

I don't think his long ball is at issue here. We have speedy enough receivers to run them down, so his long rainbow throw is fine. My concern is 20 or less yards. If you look at the previous photos you clearly see this elbow drop to his hip. He will never be a short yard passer until this corrected.The discussion about opening his hips is spot on. He has a strong arm but is using about 50% of it.Try to throw a baseball like that, it won't go far and you will "look like a girl". No offense to our female board members. Again, its 2 simple motions and again why can't he correct this.

I guess I don't get it. If T-Mart had better mechanics, his cannon would become a howitzer and he would learn touch. When he drops his elbow, looks up and throws from his back foot, Husker Nation collectively holds their breath and waits. All Beck needs to do is correct minor flaws in the way he throws. Elbow to shoulder position and quit leaning back ( like the change I made from water skiing to snow skiing) His release would increase and with his height, he would get it over most linebackers (because his throw would start 6" higher). I think we need a hardcore, hard noise quarterback coach that will help him with muscle memory. Once you get it, it comes easy.

Life isn't fair. I seem to recall the same penalty called against Nebraska some years ago. I agree with Knap, the officiating was horrible last year at UW. I think the real crime was the lack of holding calls on UDubs O-line this time. I know some ref's think "If you're that good, play through it" but that was ridiculous. The first holding goes against Neb on a punt? Really. What did we learn? Big 10 officials can be as bad as PAC 12 officials, but the reality was a 41-17 score at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Lets see, if holding was called against the UDub line, would Crick and Steinkuler been able to get to their quarterback, and maybe forced some passes to early? Would this have taken pressure off of Green? I say to any UW fan left here, go back and look at the long plays your team made and look at your O-line and tell me honesty you think that was fair.

Agree..I think he was a little misleading. Maybe not "trick" plays but certainly not straight ahead stop us either.

How many of on have actually watched a BIG game? Not physical on the corners? Are you kidding me. And how does coach Raymond now how the Big plays at corner, based on his acceptance of a job at IU? Seriously, some of our guys have significant playing time...Cassidy...I can understand Green, but come on. And to say the BIG doesn't play physical and that they won't let them play like that in the Pro's is ridiculous. This is college and the Pro's are the Pro's and that is why there are College coaches and Pro coaches. Let them learn that there.
