  1. I mean there are plenty of fans of Tebow. . .they are called moms. If they would've split it up, they couldve pleased more customers. For instance, i've bought NCAA since 2001, and I bet if you would tally the customers of the game, they would prefer the multi-player covers. imo.
  2. The best way to get to the qb is to use a DE. I've never been able to have success while starting as a DT, even with the almighty Suh. When controlling the DE, dont mess around with spin and swim moves, just outrun the offensive lineman and sack the qb. Even if the OL is decent, you should acquire atleast 4 sacks per game AND if you are playing online, more than that. Online offense, scrambling/dual threat qbs are the way to go. The ability to run out of a passing play really keeps your opponent guessing.
  3. I was going to say. . .they can have him! :lol
  4. These updates are great! Thanks for keeping the 'Board in the loop!
  5. I listen to Chinese chatting in my lab 8-10 hours a day. . .I think I'm starting to pick it up.
  6. Im a runner and these, by far, are the most comfortable, lightweight shoes I've ever owned. They are so good that I continue to buy them year after year, the Vomero. http://nikerunning.nike.com/nikeos/p/nikeplus/en_US/commerce/men?hf=10002^12001&t=Men%27s%20Running%20Shoes#/?ll=en_US&ct=US&pid=241215&cid=1&pgid=241216&p=PDP You will not be let down by these bad boys!
  7. krnu.unl.edu click on KRNU that is the college coverage of the game or on the husker website I can't wait to listen to it! Hopefully we pick up a couple of Solid Verbals that day as well!
  8. How long are you going to be in Columbus? Im supposed to finish up my degree in Spring, but it could get pushed back to summer quarter. If im still around, we'll have to go find a place to watch the 'Skers play!
  9. For everyone in Nebraska, you need to go and get yourself down to Spilker Ales in Cortland, NE and have their Hopluia (http://www.hopluia.com/)! It is the tastiest brew thats come out of Nebraska! Its super hoppy and has a great taste to it. Also, if you guys are in Omaha, go to the Crescent Moon. In the basement there is a German style beer hall where they serve this beer called "Optimator". Its like 9% abv. This beer is a darker, stout-like beer with really intense flavors. Its great. Man I want to go and drink beer in Nebraska now! I havent had a hopluia in about 4 years!
  10. I wonder what this guy's threshold is for too far away. I mean, USC is much further than Nebraska. I hope Alaska-Anchorage doesn't offer. Its not too far away either. . .
  11. 856 miles! Thought I'd be over 1k.
  12. So I'm from Nebraska, but now live in Ohio and everyone asks me "what was your team (NFL) growing up?" with my response being there happens to be a bunch of players at Green Bay but KC is close, so one of the two. Thats what I've always thought, but I was wondering what everyone on the 'board thinks (Minnesota_Husker, I think I know your response!)
  13. wow, looks like the family has some serious coin. does anyone know what team the family/parents is a fan of??? This kid doesn't need a scholarship... walk on and let a kid who is less financially able have it. Just because his parents don't need him to get a scholarship doesn't mean he shouldn't be offered one. If he is talented enough to be recruited by Nebraska, then he deserves the scholarship.
  14. I was just looking at the Junior Day topic and noticed that Texas has two JD and I cannot think of anyone else who has two. Does anyone know why they do?
  15. If he wants to be a cardiologist, that means he needs basically a 4.0gpa, so even though the biology or psychology programs at Nebraska aren't on the same level as a Stanford, it may give him the opportunity he needs to get into med school by choosing Nebraska. Just a thought.
  16. In terms of Owa, if you saw his press conference, I don't know how you could even utter the words prima donna. Owa looked like he just wanted to get it over, and very uncomfortable being at that podium. He was contacted by ESPN to wait until NSD, so that they could have another player say where he is going to school. Don't blame the players for being talented, blame the media who are using these kids talent for their own gain and making NSD what it is. . .a spectacle.
  17. I am under the mindset if you have two teams in the same division of the same conference you're a douche, if you have two teams in opposing divisions of the same conference, I look down upon you, but if you have two teams which play in different conferences, its ok. BUT, your primary should obviously be the Big Red Machine.
  18. Disappointing. . . but good luck to Owa
  19. Disappointing. . . but good luck to Owa
  20. Man this is a great way to start my day!
  21. I dont think 'lost' is the correct term, because to lose something, you had to have it in the first place and I don't think we ever had his full attention, especially since it seemed like we were talking to him late in the game.
  22. I don't think there is a college limit, but there is definately a high school limit, not only for playing sports but also to be enrolled at the high school.
  23. You do not wait on a kid like this. You say we got a ride for you and you got a week or we are giving it to someone else that realllllly wants it. Do it the way we are doing it and you most of the time screw yourself. You're right, because 17/18y.o. kids can make big decisions in two weeks. There is no reason to be mad or angry that a young man is not making his decision within a week of being offered a scholarship. Think about all of the variables he has to consider; friends, family, career, etc. Furthermore, would you want him to commit and then decommit because see made a hasty decision (See: Anterio Sloan)? C'mon.
