  1. not trying to be rude, but who cares if he is back in time for Spring Ball... I dont think even a "healthy" Lee is going to beat out Green and Spano. While I want to believe Lee was hampered with injury, the fact that he kept playing on it and not saying anything to the coaches proves that he is the "selfish" type as opposed to the players who puts team (Suh is a fine example of such a player) before self. I hope Lee is recovering, but I dont think his absence is going to hurt our offense any. This is a joke right?
  2. If you are in east or west stadium and higher up, make sure you ask if they are obstructed view or not. got my folks tickets for the mizzou game two years ago, ticket office did not tell me they were obstructed view, but sure enough they ended up with a pillar blocking a third of the field
  3. Recall that in 2009 they had 2 FCS games, and it kept them out of a bowl. Even granny Snyder has figured out that that is not a good thing. There is absolutely no way this would have been a PPV game. Assuming NU hasn't tripped up big time, there's a great chance they are top 10 and if KSU is undefeated (they play a decent non-con) this game would have had a legit shot at at least abc regional coverage, depending of course on situation and other teams playing that day
  4. a few weekends ago he scored somewhere around 40 points and went 7 of 10 from 3-point land
  5. Agree. She is, however, dating Khiry Cooper and I don't care to fight him and his football boys for her. Minnesota_husker, I'm a huge vikings fan also. curious to see what your thoughts are on Favre after the game last night Really? I didn't see her as the type to have "Jungle Fever." But, great for that guy. If I was him I may not play baseball or football and spend all day with her. However, from her video on huskers.com she sounds very religious so he may be waiting awhile for the fun and developing a set of Dude, hold out! She seems to be worth it! I didn't watch her video and don't know her personally, so I didn't know the religious thing, but it makes sense. Khiry is a very religious guy also; active in FCA and full of Bible verses.

  7. I agree with your statement about coaches hating preparing for a Doc team, and also believe we should keep him around but help him by either building an arena or hiring an AAU coach so he can get some players. But you can't sit a player for an entire game just because he isn't good enough to start. Standharding and QHC are not any worse than half the guys getting playing time, not letting them play and gain experience is not helping the team and is not helping them as players. And you can't say Standhardinger was full of FALSE hope YET, he has played in three games. Hard to judge someone by their first three games of the season when their competition has played 15 or more games already. p.s. - i hope your jeter comment was sarcasm or exaggeration. he was not a football star at cinci, he was a redshirt
  8. Bob Stoops loses two of his three major impact players on offense with quarterback Sam Bradford and tight end Jermaine Gresham (pictured) declaring early Maybe it's just me, but I don't think I'd really count the loss of Bradford and Gresham as voids to fill for next year since they didn't hold a position this past year due to injury....
  9. I understand what Doc is trying to do by benching players for not practicing hard or other reasons, but that just doesn't work at the Division I level. you can't play and expect to win with one of your major contributors sitting on the bench. just can't do it
  10. i take back everything i said. TO, find a new bball coach
  11. times have changed. yes, the callahan years showed us we need to have a coach that preserves what this program stands for, but times have changed. it's all about winning now. the younger generations are all about "what have you done for me lately" (i am a part of this generation, being in my early 20's), i know very few people my age that don't have this mentality. as these generations get older and become donors (this is my first year as a season ticket holder and am now a donor, altho my donation does not amount to much), they will bring that mentality with them. everyone loves bo, but a couple poor seasons can change that quickly
  12. God himself could take human form and come coach at Nebraska. He could use his powers to make every NU fan in the world fall more in love with him than we are with Bo right now, but if he went 5-7 he would have a hot seat and if he didn't do anything to prove it was a huge fluke, everyone would be calling for his head. I don't think you ever have to worry about Husker Nation liking a coach so much that they overlook losing, it won't happen.
  13. correction: i guess he's three games in now (been trying to forget about the iowa state debacle, guess it almost worked). he didn't look very good in that game either, but again it was game three out of 100 some games he will hopefully be playing in a nebraska uniform. give him time, the kid has said multiple times he hates to lose, and after watching him you can tell he isn't just a hot head blowin smoke, he means it and will work harder to get better and bring home some w's
  14. he's played two games. against a&m (a pretty decent team) he looked extremely good for being thrown into big 12 action for his first collegiate game. against ku he did not look good, but many players have bad games against a team like that, especially when it's only their second game of the season and ku has played 15 games. either way, it's hard to say a guy is or isn't living up to his hype when he has played only 2 games out of what is hopefully a 100+ game career
  15. on offense i look for Qvale to take someone's spot and really help solidify that line (of course that could just be wishful thinking). defense, i'm not going with a replacement necessarily, but i look for dennard to become more of a lockdown db. if that turns out to be the case, with two lockdown dbs in prince and dennard, the young safeties have a lot less pressure
  16. maybe doc isn't the coach that will take NU to a national championship, but he is the right guy for the job right now. i know a lot of people are tired of hearing "next year" (me included) but it looks like that FINALLY MAY be TRUE. doc has managed to bring some attention back after the collier failure and is slowly but surely bringing some talent back. IMO doc is the perfect guy to be here 10-12 years, deal with the ups and downs, bring everyone through them and finally get NU to where they are consistently top half of big 12 and always have the tourney in reach. i know fans don't want the "slowly but surely" approach, but at a place like NU that's the way it has to be. it's just too hard to bring in that one difference maker to a place like this (without help)
