  1. That'd be my list as well. Well said. I agree great list but it's to short Norton Rasco Coe Hankins would be be ok additions to the list Think after those 5 I'd have Hundley(nice second QB commit, looks like a Cody Green clone), Desmond Rolland(looks like a solid athlete), Zach Sterup(looks like a solid instate kid who could play the RT spot in the future as long as he doesnt get taller), Cole Fisher(Heard hes better than Sean, just hope he recovers from his ACL), and TK Fleming(looks like he could be a solid safety in a Bo Pelini defense). I agree with Hundley, Rolland, and Fisher, but instead of Fleming give me Jeremy Cash at safety and Trai Turner at tackle. Cash is a devastating hitter with some great speed and Turner dominates whoever he is up against in his videos. I have heard the same thing about Cole being better than his brother, could be a 4* if it wasn't for the knee. If camps well he should get an offer from us. If he shows this season he is back his offers will really skyrocket (if he doesn't commit to us which he basically said he would) and he could become that 4*. On Rolland I agree. Great athlete, could easily fit as a good WR for us which is what we are recruiting him as. Hundley would technically be our 2nd qb, but he is rated higher and looks like a more well rounded passer than Turner, however I am a fan of Turner's passing unlike some others on here. If we got both of them we would have 2 top 10 qbs who are also stud athletes.
  2. Yeah, I saw that. Sounds like he is pretty high on us too and he hasn't even been offered yet. The Suh affect continues.
  3. I can't find anything about that on rivals or scout, where did you see this?
  4. I will take Green, Williams, Lyons, Flowers, and Mr. Big Time If I could add another I would say Grimble. I almost said him instead of Flowers, but we need a play making wide receiver or 2 or 3...
  5. We do get to enjoy a football game against a B10+1 school. I'd like us to play a harder schedule honestly. I agree, so why would we schedule a big 10 school if we want a harder schedule??? Why not MWC or WAC?
  6. If he wants to wait until the end of the season he may miss his chance with us. We could get Norton, Williams, and Quincy Russell. Yeah, there is no way he'll be able to wait until after the year and still come on board. I wouldn't expect us to take more than 2 DTs and Williams sounds like he is basically committed (pending a disastrous visit for the spring game). I do really like his brother though.....Todd has been quoted saying they want to play together in college so maybe Bo will still go after them. Green brothers number 2? I know we wanted Andrew Green because of Andrew Green and Aaron is just a bonus (if he decides to play with his brother like he wants to), but this looks to be the same situation. We want Todd Peat because of his own ability, but his brother would be a great bonus.
  7. If he wants to wait until the end of the season he may miss his chance with us. We could get Norton, Williams, and Quincy Russell.
  8. Under with us doing as well as we have he won't have to chomp as much... 12 pieces =================================== over/under: Cody Green plays 40% of the snaps
  9. Misty's has got the best prime rib you'll find in Nebraska. I believe it's at 11th and Q, but I would mapquest it just to be sure. Also, you can get all the gear the coaches wear including the hoodies at Husker Authentic just across the street from the stadium on stadium drive. Again, good luck! I would agree Misty's is great. Also if you are there awhile try Lazlo's in the Haymarket. If you like Mexican go hit La Paz (its not downtown though so you would have to drive). GMoose is right on the gear. Husker Authentic has what you want. I don't know the taxi prices, I've never had to ride a taxi in Lincoln. You can do a stadium tour almost any day of the week if you just go down there. They have a self guided tour that you get a brochure and just walk around or guided tours by appointment. LINK One last note, Cornhusker starts at $189 per night on a football weekend and Embassy suites is $249. I would still do the Embassy suites if it was me because it is closer and they do more with the football stuff, but its an extra $120 for 2 nights so its up to you.
  10. Sounds like you were right with the WR call earlier. He would be a good get, plays against good competition and may help bring other quality WR in.
  11. Thats what I like to hear... However I remember a certain recruit toward the end of last year you guessed would be "N" but never was. I think it was Ow something or other. The good news is that most of the time you are right, and we generally agree on the quality of players that we get so I'm goin with a for now, but if you are wrong you will get a ! Go Big Spring Game Weekend Recruit Push!
  12. Funny story... I actually thought that is probably what you meant after I got off the internet last night. Meh... sorry.
  13. I disagree. I would say a 4.8 is too slow! ..... is there a 'tongue in cheek' emoticon? I like to use or
  14. Cornhusker is within walking distance as it is downtown. The closest hotel, which is also pretty nice is the Embassy Suites (I stayed here my wedding night before we left for the honeymoon ). Or there is the Holiday Inn downtown which isn't to bad either. Those are the three closest hotels. Just so you know game weekends they will be a lot more expensive and will be packed so book early. Like the next month or two. Plus being that close you can easily head to the tailgates before hand (Embassy Suites has one on their loading dock). As far as tickets go I have sat in every stadium anywhere from about 10th row to the tip top. I would agree with GMoose that West stadium is good because no sun, but if you are ok with the sun east stadium is great too. The sun is never really in your eyes because the sky box blocks it before it gets there, but if it is an afternoon game you will be in the sun pretty much the whole time. However I disagree with GMoose about the first 25 rows. In North and South stadium the best seats are the first couple of rows. In east and west you want to get to about row 15 and you can see over the players just fine. I really like sitting in East stadium just barely under the balcony (rows in the low-mid 30's). That way you are blocked from the sun partially, if it rains your covered, and you still see the Jumbo Screen. Of course if you accidently get to high you could be behind pillars. You want to stay row 38 or lower. My parents have row 38 seats and sit right next to a column so I know thats as high as you want to be there. Other than behind the columns the only bad seats are in the corners of North and South stadium. Avoid sections 12, 20, 32, 40 and 41. The corners of east and west are fine, but the corners of North and South (sections I just listed) are blocked partially by east and west. Really you would only miss a corner of the field, but for your first trip get some good east/west tickets. As far as other game day stuff. Be sure to walk around under the 10th street viaduct (just west of the stadium) there is some great tailgating under there and if you find a good group of people sometimes they will let you join. Same can be said of the East side tailgating in the Stadium U, but some of those tailgaters can be less welcoming (they have more money and know it). Also the track right by the stadium has some great events and booths set up, plus there is a big screen showing the biggest game/games of the day before kick off. Some people love to walk around and tailgate, but others like to go watch the teams warm up, its up to you, but definately get in for the last 30 min or so too see the starting line ups announced, the band, and of course the tunnel walk. Have fun, it is a great experience.
  15. What do you mean most recent game? Are you talking about the spring game? As long as it doesn't sell out (it doesn't look like it will) they said you could walk up and buy tickets, but be prepared to stand in line. If your talking about a different game like during the season, they are always sold out before hand.
  16. He's a 4.64 40... seems kind of slow for WR since NU has stressed speed the past few years and gone after 4.4/4.5 40 guys. If he is reporting his true time that is actually pretty good. Link I'll take a guy that runs .02 seconds slower than an NFL back anyday. Most of the 4.4/4.5 you see on rivals and scout are either self reported or "verified" using hand timing which is not at all accurate.
  17. Jeez we got all worked up over a quad bruise.... I hope he plays on saturday quad contusions are no joke. depending on the severity, he could be gimped for 3+ months. They can form scar tissue, limit the motion of the knee, and have nasty bone-level internal bleeding. At a minimum he is out a week or two if its a grade one. Grade 3 were looking at the above scenario (3+ months) plus possibility of major calcium build up and scar formation limiting mobility.
  18. Be nice to get back to 4 stations like Osborne, but that would be pretty difficult with the control and focus on technique Pelini likes. Plus we would need another 20 walk-ons to fill the numbers.
  19. Here's the vid from the youtube link. I know some people are lazy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwyCSbPq7uI
  20. So wait, his hand is broken? I thought it was an April Fool's joke? Damn that sucks. I hope his recovery is swift enough for him to compete in summer and fall camp. From what I've heard it's not slowing him down any, so no worries. It sounds like he could be done for the rest of the spring. They went ahead and did the surgery he needed now so he can get back sooner for the Summer/fall. To me that says they like his progress so far.
  21. Expectation wise I would say a 9. It is only year 3 and our O has to show something before we get too jacked, of course 9 is pretty high expectations.
  22. I would argue that at least one person should be in a full official Herbie Husker outfit and if you have 3 people the last person should be wearing the Lil' Red blow up thing. That way when you drive by you can give the recruits that slow head turn and stare that fake mascot smiles make look so good.
  23. Wow, that does take alot of guts. Correct me if i'm wrong girlknows, but those don't look like texas tags on the back of the vett. Based on my nerdiness factor for attention to odd details that plate looks strangely familar to me. I'm about 99% sure that says South Carolina. It is irrelevant, but I was just curious. Hey I never said it was my car, people just speculated wrongly... I found it on google images, wanted to add some visuals to the post. It's a nice car, but ours is gonna be WAAYYYY more decked out than that... I was wondering why you had a picture of my car on this thread. I live on the South Carolina side of KC...
  24. We always have high expectations, but this year we are expecting to play in the B XII championship and go to a BCS game. We haven't had those expectations since before the 2007 season. By we I mean many people, but I honestly was worried before that season because of our horrid D coordinator and a new QB. However we are always stoked for Nebraska football so really the question is do you mean how excited are we for Husker football or how excited are we about the possibility of this season being good.
