  1. cant remember where i read it but his HS coach thinks he will have no problem putting on 20 or 30lbs .....has the frame to be 300 according to him, so i would imagine the coaches see the same
  2. I think we are going to go after two backs in the coming class. We should have the scholarship room and will probably try for a burner/slasher like Green and a balanced or Power guy of some sort. I think it will make it real interesting and we may even be able to redshirt one of them to help build for the future. Next years class as a whole is shaping up to be huge. I agree. I hear rumblings of NU getting close to offering another RB from Texas besides Green. He goes to the same high school that Trey Robinson went to. Probably this guy!!! Thanks to Nexus
  3. Thanks for clearing up all the mis-information people are spreading around here, its getting ridiculous Until Wed, i will wait patiently for the good news
  4. I guess i would rather find out now then on signing day!!! Good luck to him, I really hope he starts in Sept.
  5. Couldnt believe it when i heard it...WOW!!!
  6. ive changed my tune since last week...Still got Owa and Carnes as N...but see Cooper going somewhere else.
  7. speaking of back on topic...i was pretty excited to hear this, FYI they picked J. Jeffcoat to go to UT and he committed the next day to UT. Slightly better odds with them for that pick...doesn't his dad work there now? What nexus said... FWIW... im pretty sure they disagreed on everyone else...just a thought!!!!
  8. speaking of back on topic...i was pretty excited to hear this, FYI they picked J. Jeffcoat to go to UT and he committed the next day to UT.
  9. Finally got a chance to sit down and watch EspnUs' Recruiting Insider today (Love DVR)...and they talked about OWA quite a bit, showed some good film, had some really good things to say about him...obviosuly, right? Both Tom and Craig of scout picked Owa to be N . Tom even went as far as to say he was going to be a big part of the resurgence in Lincoln.
  10. I would still rank Hardrick 2nd behind Owa, that man is an IMPACT player. Hardrick is also an immediate fix for an immediate need at OT. People say that Cooper is a big need for the class, and I agree. But Yoshi is the BIGGEST need and it is not even close. Yoshi is the biggest immediate need. Cooper is a HUGE need for 2011. Not saying he couldn't contribute next year, but after 2010, safeties could be PJ and Cooper. Getting that extra year in this system is big. I agree we could really used Cooper. But we do have Courtney Osborne as well. Harvey Jackson is also on board this year. With this said we really need to sign a safety next year. Whoa whoa i wonder what you meant by USED...we could have USED him .....What do you know that we dont? sorry im still in OWA CSI mode
  11. i looked and didnt see a new video on here...is it rivals only or is it on the Youtube.... Link anybody?
  12. Wow good news!! Wasnt expecting this one today. I go to one baby class last night and then didnt come on here and check last night and look what happens, i had to read it in the OWH. Welcome aboard!!! N
  13. thats good news...well done. Lets hope we get all 3.
  14. I will be hunting out in west NE Wed, plan on DVRing it and relying on TXT to hear the news. Hopefully its good news.
  15. i dont think anyone that is a husker fan would call another husker fan a cornhead.... BTW Nebraska is one of the only states you CANT shoot "cranes". The platte river is one of the biggest refugees for cranes in the US and they are treated like royalty here.... you see Carnes, NE has got your back already!!!
  16. EZ-E is right....and to drive home this point you can look at all the Seniors to be next fall that we were either their first offer, or one of their first offers. You cant sit her and tell me that they were the first to offer JT sitting around doing nothing. Our coaching staff knows talent and they are one of the first staffs to be on highly touted recruits... FOR THE FUTURE...ie Jamal Turner. Make no mistake about it Bo is looking for big time talent and in order to get big time talent CONSISTENTLY you have to be in on them very early....ie Turner and his "first love" quote. It looks like they are constantly out on the road evaluating talent not only for this class but more importantly for future classes. And its looking like its already paying off for 2011. Now all we have to do is keep winning and we should start landing more big time recruits...that we already got in on early. Instead of being behind and using our winning to persuade big time recruits, we offer early which shows loyalty and then winning and competing for championships will seal the deal. Looks like a great strategy to me. 2011 COULD be one of the best classes weve ever seen...the 2 OL we already have, Westerman, Turner, A Green, and a couple top WR....LOOK OUT!!!
  17. looks like we got ourselves a QB for this class...seems like the coaching staff pulled out another one now how long will he wait to announce...could be a hell of a day for NU on Feb 3 WHEN we sign all 3.
  18. Im new to this but based on everything ive been reading my thought goes like this... Cooper..Based on the fact that Sanders spent all day with him, along with some strong rumors i say he's N Carnes.. havent heard much about him, ive heard his mom wants to keep him around, but i think he was probably blown away seeing our facilities. Hes going to go to on his next visits and its not even going to be a comparison, and he chooses N. Owa..to many rumors surrounding this guy being N, and to many prominent posters calling him a lock they have rarely been wrong....WE GET ALL THREE. I could see us losing Carnes but not the other two. I went back and read alot of posts on some bigger names from years past recently and guys we have ended up getting the majority of posters were hearing rumors and calling him N. Others like PPaul for example...no one was calling him N.
  19. im new to this and all but how do we know Rivals and scout didnt pull that info from the article....and we are all worried for nothing? Again new to recruiting its an honest question?
  20. im not a premium member so i guess you guys would know more then I...but the only quote i saw posted on here did in fact say OSU but it also said he was a tight end...it would be easy to mis quote Oregon and OSU if they cant even get his college poistion right. Again im sure you guys have seen different articles...just thought it was interesting is all.
  21. Ok im going to have to do this to keep everyone sane and post what an Admin posted on Huskerpedia...(they quote you guys so i figure they OWA us) The Admin said he got this in his email take it FWIW Link Hello, I regularly read your board, and love it. But I don't have posting privileges. I felt compelled to contact you and let you know that thePortland Tribune reporting (sports, in particular) is notoriously incompetent. In this case, the reporter writes like someone from back east who doesn't even know the difference between Oregon and Oregon State. Owa has not dropped Oregon and suddenly re-added Oregon State. THe final three are Oregon, UCLA and the Huskers. And I'm fairly sure reports of the list narrowing to two were premature as well. It pains me to read a bunch of you wracking your brains trying to figure out what is going on, when in fact, things have basically remained the same. The only change is the infusion of misinformation. Go Huskers, a Grey Beard Oregon Husker.
  22. ya its pretty obvious bo wants this guy on the team: news breaks today that he commits to UNO...later in the same day a Greyshirt is offered.
  23. yep a rivals teaser just came up about him getting a grayshirt offer laste today??? With next years potential class im a little shocked, bo did say he wants him on the team, so well see.
  24. Again....with all the rumors going around you cant help to think his mind is made up. His coach is not going come out and give a hint as to which school is the clear favorite and steal OWA's thunder..we know he wants to respectfully tell the other coaches he has made up his mind. He doesnt seem like the kind of guy thats going to bash other schools by saying...we made a pros and cons list and Nebraska was heads and tails above the other schools....but he will make his decision soon. We will find out who had the most points when he commits this week. I dont see him waiting til signing day because that can be seen as playing the game, so i see him announcing before then.
