My parents and aunts still go to catholic church. All my siblings left and went to other demoninations. I fell out of religion all together, although Im still pretty spiritual person. The church has more money in the vatican then it knows what to do with. They can literally feed entire countries, but they buy gold platted toilet seats for the pope instead. And I do like this pope, I think hea very progressive. Right wingers dont because he is advocating for gay marriage. Its hypocritical because people in the church believe the Pope has direct access to God and hes Gods chosen human on Earth. So if the Pope is saying gay people need to have the same rights as others and apologizes for the way theyve been treated, this is a message coming directly from God. If you disagree politically with the Pope, you disagree with God. Instead they just say hes human making stuff up. So hes either a human making stuff up or he is Gods Earthly disciple. Cant be both based on politics. I am in the camp of human making stuff up, but again, thats just my opinion.

You are probably one of the most reasonable people to talk to when it comes to religion. I think your spiritual journey is similar to mine and soon you will describe yourself as agnostic instead of catholic. I believe there is a creator, but I dont think we will be judged. I believe in reincarnation and multiple lives until we feel we got it right and then our souls can be at peace. Sounds more hindu or buddhist lol. The problem I have with this line of thinking as you are still in the process of figuring out what you believe and what to identify yourself as is that the God of the bible is not a reasonable being as shown multiple times in the bible. Hes vengeful and if you dont live according to the rules, you will be judged accordingly as sin cannot be allowed in heaven. Like I said above, Jesus is pretty damn clear on wealth. More clear than most things in the bible. Lots of Christians who believe in capitalism and making as much money as you possibly can, like many rules laid out in the bible, try to ignore what Jesus said because if they actually followed Jesus teachings, they would believe in socialism. Jesus was/is a socialist. Everything he said was against wealth and helping people less fortunate. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick. If more right wing Christians would just come out and say you know, I think Jesus got a lot right, but hes wrong on this issue, I would respect them a lot more than I do.

The hierarchy of the US catholic church knowingly covered up child molestation happening all across the country and tried to sweep it under the rug. The catholic church is as evil and corrupt an organization can be and the whole church is guilty by association. Sorry if you feel differently. I was baptized catholic so technically I am a catholic so I guess my opinion counts. Sorry. I was an alter boy and everything. The head priest while I was there had sexual allegations against him and instead of looking into them, the church moved him to another church.

I mean Im pretty sure you have to at least try to live like Jesus. It wont be 100% obviously but these people dont even try and hide the fact they are 100% against the teaching of Jesus in certain areas.

Over the past couple weeks, engaging in conversations with folks in this subsection, there have been many conversations where people who identify as Christians are defending billionaires, billion dollar corporations and their own greed and way of life. People who s#!t on others not so fortunate to defend people so greedy they would take everything if they could. They say they will not change their own lifestyles for the benefit of others. There are a lot of things in the bible that can be up for interpretation, but when it comes to wealth and being rich (and slavery) the bible makes it pretty damn clear what Jesus thinks about wealth and being rich and people who think this way. Im not sure if these people have not read their bible or they just dont care, but here are some scripture passages to review so you can at least attempt to live and think the way Jesus wants. Or just denounce your christianity and live and think the way you want. But you cant have both because Jesus is pretty damn clear on this issue. Well most social media because the news would never talk about this because they are corrupt. Somebody leaked tax information for the very wealthy in this country. They paid practically nothing. In fact, taxpayers paid Bezos $10 billion. What do you call that Archy? Wealth distribution? No, its okay for them though keep kissing their feet. How about the news on Blackstone that even conservatives are up in arms about? Them buying up entire neighborhoods and single family homes all across the US and them turning them into rental properties. I dont know, sounds like wealth distribution to me since one of the main ways to build wealth in this country is through home ownership. Open your damn eyes, there are so many more recent problems then the damn squad tweeting something. And I dont know what a living wage is. Its different where a person lives. In Nebraska it will be leas than NYC. Like weve already talked about a million times, there are some people who go to college to party and get stupid degrees that dont mean anything. There are also some doctors, lawyers, etc still paying off student loans. Do we not need doctors or did they just make a stupid decision to become a doctor? Im currently getting my MBA-Healthcare. Google and my school website tell me that I can make a lot of money with this degree and the job prosepects are good. Google and my school website also cant predict the future, so while Im hopeful I made the correct choice and others have told me I am doing the right thing, who the hell knows if this degree will pay off. Some people get degrees with the same mindset as me. I hope this pays off, but it never does. You will never find them saying everyone should make the same amount bc they never said it. They do, however, say that people working full time should make a living wage. They do say that people should not go bankrupt from medical bills. And they do say people should not be in debt for most of their life for getting an education. All of which I agree. And then, occasionally, they say stupid stuff like defund the police. Its all harmless, opinionated s#!t that people get up in arms about that will most likely never come to fruition in this country because there is too much money involved.

This is baseball now. Players like Fernando Tatis Jr and Trevor Bauer are trying to get people interested in baseball again, so the antics have gone up this year. Bat flips, pitching with one eye closed, sword celebrations after strikeouts, homeun trots, etc. It puts butts in the seats and Im all for it as baseball was one of the most boring sports to watch and the players realized it. Its not your grandpas game anymore where people follow the “unwritten rules” anymore so get used to it trickling down to college and high school.
