  1. Thank Goodness for the BTN and HD. Its nice to actually be able to see the coaches at the press conference and not have to squint my eyes like I had to watching Big 12 media days. The quality of picture that FSN and the Big 12 had for their media days was amazing!
  2. Translated: BEEBE: "Coach, you need a hot date tonight to follow you around this thing? Even it's an old cross-dresser? I can do wonderful things to you" COACH: "I gotcha. Go change into that sundress I bought you"
  3. Im looking forward to Herbstreit picking the Longhorns and eveyone in the crowd booing him when gameday comes to Lincoln for the Texas game and then Corso putting on his corn cob hat and saying "Yoooo, Im picking the Huskers!" and the crowd going nuts. Then beating the snot out of Texas! Btw, HuskersNow, your signature is hilarious, I laugh everytime I see it!
  4. Joey, just out of curiousity....how long have you been a fan? There are quite a few relevant teams that are looking for their first NC. You are exactly right! Many good teams that have not won a MNC yet. Va Tech being one of them. Very good team and coach, just cannot get over the hump. Five is extremely impressive, but like I said earlier, the past is the past. The future is relevant now. How many can we win in the next decade or so is the question. Hopefully we win one but so many things have to go our way for that to happen. Lots of good teams in the Big 10 we have to beat. However, In Bo I trust!
  5. Whatever happened in the past is the past. Im focusing on the future and how many we can win if we have the opportunity. Five MNC's is five more than many other teams have and I can live with five...for now!
  6. No Spurs anywhere in that article? I absolutely hate the Spurs and I cannot stand Crater faced Popovich, Broken nose Ginobili, off glass Duncan, I can't hit any shot except a 3 from the corner Bowen and Tony Parker. Man, I hate that basketball franchise. Other than that, Miami, Notre Dame and the Yankees are good choices.
  7. Were you watching the same Cosgrove defenses as everyone else? Those defenses were top notch!
  8. Watched that '05 game with the Tigers and I was thinking man, we actually had some good talent on that defense! Carriker, LeKevin Smith, McKeon, Bullocks bros, Bowman, Jay Moore, etc. Just imagine if they had the Pelini Bros coaching them instead of that certain DC who had no clue.
  9. Anyone else see the E60 tonight with David Price? Man, what a sad story. He is one of my new favorite pitchers after watching that. Classy, overall good guy it seemed like.
  10. The further away from Memorial you go, the higher the prices. People selling tickets right next to stadium are usually face or less. I have bought all mine from people selling right next to the statue outside I believe East Stadium. Best time to go, the tickets are prob cheapest right at game time, but I like to see all the pre-game stuff for the full experience, so I buy mine like an hour before. I have never bought a ticket for more than face value, however, even that early.
  11. Kansas husker is cheating! he is using Yoda and the force to help him make his picks!! Alright, enough messing around, down to business... Preliminary Card (top two fights) Lightweight bout: Paul Kelly vs. Jacob Volkmann Winner: Volkmann via unanimous decision Welterweight bout: DaMarques Johnson vs. Matthew Riddle Winner: Johnson via submission round 2 Main Card Middleweight bout: Yushin Okami vs. Mark Muñoz Winner Munoz via unanimous decision Welterweight bout: John Howard vs. Jake Ellenberger Winner: Ellenberger via submission round 2 Lightweight bout: Tyson Griffin vs. Takanori Gomi Winner: Griffin via submission round 1 Main Event(Worth Double Points) Light Heavyweight bout: Jon Jones vs. Vladimir Matyushenko Winner: Jones via TKO round 1
  12. Careful on that emoticon: Mack Brown said today So its OK to beat up some one doing the horns down according to Brown Stay classy Texas Ya I saw that too. I started laughing at that comment
  13. Basically, the FSN guys are huge Texas homers saying everyone misunderstood what happened with Texas and the Pac-10. Said Texas wouldn't go without it's "friends" A&M, Tech and Baylor. Said everyone has to face reality when it comes to why Texas gets its way so much, he said its because they are a huge University and great athletics. Blah, blah, blah I think you get the picture Yep, that's a pretty accurate rundown of the first 30 minutes or so. Call me naive, but considering Nebraska was the first team scheduled on day one, I was expecting some Husker centric coverage, or at least a decent team rundown. Instead they open with interviews with ISU QB Austin Arnaud and former CU Buff Joel Klatt. Thanks FSN, A+ work once again! Ya'll may not have liked what you saw but for anyone to suggest that Klatt is a Texas homer would be a slight stretch. There aren't many former Big 12 players that could have more of a reason to carry a grudge against Texas over Klatt for the hit he took in the Big title game that ended his college career and any chance of a NFL training camp invitation. Like I said you may have reason to be dissapointed with your coverage but Klatt is not a Horn homer. Are we reading the same thread.... Not sure where it says Klatt is a Texas homer? I believe so, Po Belini stated the FSN guys were Texas homers, Husker Bob said that Klatt was one of the FSN guys, so I pointed out that if anyone had reason to hate on Texas, certainly Joel Klatt could have a strong argument. *ball back in your court* Yes, the two FSN guys that started the show were in love with Texas. And all huskerbob said was they had an interview with ISU qb and former Buff qb Klatt. Nowhere did he or I say your former qb is a Texas homer. I didn't even listen to Klatt talk, too busy watching Husker VaTech game, so I wouldn't know if hes a Texas homer or not and frankly I don't really care.

  15. I don't think he was trying to make that post seem arrogant at all. Just stating that Nebraska fans like to travel to see their team play. And as far as him asking the question can we sellout our 2011 games, he was prob. talking about the games at like Northwestern or Indiana. The schools that don't sell out every football game. For example, there were more NU fans then Baylor fans at the game last year in Waco. We aren't expecting to take over the big stadiums such as Michigan, PSU or OSU. Those schools have a very good turnout for games. So to answer his question, the Husker road games will be sold out at Michigan, OSU, PSU, Iowa and Wisconsin most likely, but our fans prob. have to help the other schools out a little bit to sell out the other stadiums. Good luck to Ohio State this upcoming year. The Yankees on the other hand...
  16. The more I think about it, he is right, Pierre Allen has been around a REALLY long time!
  17. Oh thanks man! I sure hope it is a joke because I read that sentence like 20 times to see if I was the idiot or if that sentence really didn't make sense. And after 20 times, it still didn't make sense.
  18. Remember how boring church was when you were 9? That’s how life is every day in Nebraska. It’s about as much fun as an alcohol-free trip to Branson, MO but spread out over an entire lifetime. I’m pretty sure they just got running water a few weeks ago, and there are Nebraskans who have never left their zip code. I spent a week in Nebraska one day and came away with two irrefutable conclusions: precious few good looking women hail from the flattest state in the land (and I mean flattest literally and figuratively) and there’s not a single thing (or, again, a decent-looking chunker) to do in Nebraska. Show me a little hottie and I’ll show you someone who isn’t from Nebraska. Show me a good time and I’ll guarantee you’re not in Nebraska Hmm, so this guy spent a week in Nebraska one day? Is that even possible?
  19. GSP won't retire anytime soon. He said he wants to be the best pound for pound fighter in the world and once he reaches that title it will be time to retire. Hopefully a Silva-GSP fight will take place for that title, but I doubt it. Shields will def. be in contention before he retires.
  20. From inside the industry, New Coke was a genius creation at the time. It smashed Pepsi in focus groups and taste tests, but when released, the public didn't care about the taste and believed they hated it because it wasn't the product they had imprinted on. And I thought it just tasted too mutch like petsi. Anyone else miss Surge? or even remember it? One of my old dogpark buddies was the prodject Mgr on that..She spent half the time in Hawaii trying to set up the production plant. +1 Lol, I miss Surge! I can't believe you referenced that, I haven't heard about Surge for like 10+ years. I remember it well, a stronger sugar rush than Mountain Dew.
  21. Man, this guy is an idiot! He says in his chat to the Michigan guy that Texas has "bulletin board material of the highest order" due to that video, lol, Im pretty sure Nebraska has :01 signs posted on everyone's locker since winter conditioning. Nebraska has had "bulletin board material of the highest order" since December!
  22. Im sorry but I couldn't help but laugh at this picture. I laughed about it watching the video also. That guy alone warrants a few laughs from other teams since it just plays into their stereotype about Nebraskans, how we are a bunch of farming hillbillies. However, Nebraska will get the last laugh on the field! GBR
  23. I wouldn't be offended I put this together pretty late at night. Thanks for pointing out the mistake I'll fix and update it now. I also noticed some bonus points I forgot to give. If there are any other mistakes found please let me know. I want to make sure this is accuarte and fair for everyone. BTW Po, you should jump in for Jones vs. Matyushenko Ya I'll participate in that event and the ppvs. This UFC Fantasy is a great idea. Better than fantasy baseball/basketball. I get bored with those after about a month because the season is so long!
  24. Kansas Husker, Im not trying to show you up or anything, especially since this is my first post. Ive been lurking on this site for a little over a year now and love reading the insight of fellow husker fans so Im not new to the site by any means. I think this Fantasy UFC is a cool idea, but it looks like your giving points to people for Soszynski winning. Didn't Bonnar win that fight via TKO in 2nd round? Just trying to get the points for everyone correct. It looks like you gave husker 118 the correct points for picking Bonnar however. Once again, not trying to be a dick or anything.
