  1. I thought that could only make you back in time, right? By the way, that movie is highly underrated Maybe if we go far enough back we can circle back around. Or at least kill a few hours trying.
  2. Where's my hot tub time machine to get this thing started.....
  3. That would be a lot more significant if not for the fact they only ran 6 more plays than he did. 40+ carries will do that for you. 50 touches for a RB is simply unreal for the first game of the season.

    LeVeon Bell

He only had 50 touches. (For those that didn't watch the game, that's not an exaggeration.)
  6. No, you only get one and the correct answer was nip slips. We have some great consolation prizes for you though, including this lovely toaster.
  7. Regardless, any team that can score that much on the road in an opener with a new offense needs to be taken seriously. And by road game, he means those 9 people that were in the stands, counting a hot dog vendor and a pregnant woman.
  8. In terms of coorelative statistics, it isn't that indicative of a stat. If you want a simple single rate equation, Adjusted Net Yards per Attempt is a far better stat. A team's ANY/A differential is a pretty good single indicator of their success.
  9. You do represent half the state's population.......... (Here's hoping you get to see the game.)
  10. Of course he does. In fact, Bo talked about that extensively today in regards to the decision with Westerkamp. Obviously there's a big difference between a QB and a WR in terms of finding playing time in the case you don't redshirt the player.
  11. For an NFL game, the theoretical maximum is 76%.
  12. That's my favorite too. Simply genius. (there's a lot of great ones, though)
  13. Yes. The color denotes which game is on ABC with the opposite game on ESPN2.
  14. That's just not true. They can go to the park. http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/longhorns/entries/2012/08/29/longhorn_networ_5.html?cxntfid=blogs_bevo_beat
  15. This is probably the weakest group of announcer pairings ABC/ESPN has ever had.
  16. No. Typo. 24 was the final ranking.
  17. AP Rankings (preseason/final) 2008 none/none 2009 24/14 2010 8/20 2011 10/21 I see this more as a situation where pollsters keep putting a 4 loss team in the Top 10, rather than a 4 loss team underperforming by once again losing 4 games.
  18. We can use the NFL data as a guide, though obviously the quality of placekicker between the two levels is not equal. Touchback percentage did go way up (quite a bit more than expected), and return percantage went way down. When a guy did return it, he usually returned it from deeper in his end zone. It mostly eliminated those 20-25 yard returns. Early in the season, the change had no effect on the number of TDs returned, but this changed as the season went on. Consequently, as the weather changed, the % of touchbacks went down as well, but it still finished at 43%, quite a bit higher than the 16% of the years prior. The net effect on starting field position was about 4 yards, which is accounted for by the NCAA moving touchbacks to the 25.
  19. Niles size isn't as much an issue here because Shanahan cut blocks the backside so much.
  20. Who does Louisville play this week? None of your business. :worship +1 to you.
