  1. I don't think you'll get it back. But it doesn't look too hard to make...
  2. Just try to read this without doing so in Keith Jackson's voice.
  3. We'all have one of these damn near every year. According to the Chicago tribune: "Delany said there will be three conference games and three non-league games in September and October. No team will play more than twice." There's slots for 12 teams. 13 teams eligible because Michigan gets to say no. Maybe the lesser programs will get two Friday night games and spare some bigger teams. But I would anticipate on if these every year.
  4. Mav: they worried Porcher may jump ship with setting up his visit? Or do they want a third DE?
  5. Let's keep them to one thread each, otherwise it can get confusing ;-) I see ESPN has the Idaho kid listed as a pocket passer and 247 has him as DT. I'm guessing he's throw-first but can run. Espn sucks. I should have known that comment was coming!

  7. #3 #10 Nebraska @ Indiana I share your thoughts. Tennessee's spot this week won't matter after Saturday. A win and they would have jumped us. A loss they'll be behind us. Provided we win... I hope Wisconsin beats OSU. I know we'd still be behind the Buckeyes, but would set up that Wiscy game nicely for us and get those fans nice and drunk real early with Gameday and hopefully passed out for the night kickoff...
  8. I can't find Mav's scholarship breakdown (pin it Mav?) but if we redshirt everyone coming in, combined with last year's complete miss, we got Mick, the Davis Twins and Natter for the season next year. Am I missing anyone? I don't like that depth.
  9. Pretty sure the new regime would find a spot or a 5* WR...He's saying the 5* could shy away from them, not vice versa.
  10. Really think this is a reach. If the schools in the deep south can continue to pull the classes they do, I don't think we have much to worry about. McKewon is trying to capitalize on the situation and put a different twist on 3-day old news. Just to be clear, I'm not down-playing the comments made by the two. I just don't think we will see a tremendous drop-off in recruiting because of them. Hell, maybe the sit-down with MRI and Ricketts will produce some good news. I don't think this hurts recruiting at all. Riley supports his players. On his in-homes with kids from places McKewon mentions, he'll be able to show them that he supports all of his students and their beliefs. In the face of outside pressure, he has their backs.
  11. There was a four minute lapse between those two posts and yours. Anything could have happened in that timeframe. Get it together.
  12. 84 could say the sky is blue and you'd disagree with him. I don't side with him often, just when he's right. LMAO, right about what? Facts are facts and our recruiting has improved EVERY way you can decipher it. I guess I'd invite you to reread my first post in the thread.

  14. I like the way recruiting feels like it's trending, but we'll see what happens come February. Agree with 84's second paragraph. Also, seems like pretty lofty grades for 4 four stars and 11 three stars (247).
  15. Thanks for welcoming me to the team. Now I just hope Riley becomes part of it. /sarcasm
  16. Is it just me or is it odd that Riley keeps speaking in the third person about the team? "It'll be really good for the Huskers..." (http://www.omaha.com/huskers/blogs/bigred/big-ten-teleconference-mike-riley-never-saw-himself-in-oregon/article_3afdf5c6-79d1-11e6-8f2b-3f51e127dc0d.html) He did it in his TV interview during the game last weekend and I've seen him do it a bunch of other times last year too. Almost feels like he's here to coach the team, but doesn't count himself as a Husker. You're one of us now! We accept you! Probably just reading into something on the Tuesday before one of the biggest games in quite some time...
  17. Look at what scheduling good opponents did for Wisconsin and Texas. They went from unranked to #10 and #11 after big wins.
  18. I think he will be here for the long haul now. With three of these, it's too big of a risk for another college to hire him. The NFL is trying to show a clean image and I can't see him land there either. He got this last chance. It's only here. And I'm sure he knows it.
  19. To live as an anonymous douchebag with a purpose of getting under people's skin... Must be some kinda life.
