  1. From what I've read this kid was dominating when he attended camp back in June and they have not stopped talking about him since. Was offered a scholie on the spot by Bo. A poster on another board who seems to have rather in depth knowledge of what is happening within the program thinks he might very well have been their #1 OL target. As a bonus - 4.0 gpa and 26 ACT
  2. I don't see us winning any of these games but OU has to be the toughest followed by TT, MU & VT. I'll be thrilled if they can somehow manage win in any of them but especially the B12 games.
  3. Hell, I'll be happy if they can manage a winning season and a bowl game.
  4. I don't trust anybody without some sort of proof. At this point it is strictly a rumor in the rumor section. UC was speculating on this today. He does have connections with Bo from Green Bay. Not sure why he would make a lateral move from a top tier team like UF to a program like NU which is currently in shambles but maybe he and Bo hit it off in GB. I wouldn't mind seeing him if for nothing else his recruiting ability as we could surely use the help seeing this class is losing recruits on daily basis with no end in sight and Bo off to LSU for 3 weeks
  5. Here are a few to get you going. I mentioned the questionable hires by Bo in another post and this is the one at the top of the list. I find it sad that this program is stooping to new lows in hiring know violators of serious NCAA rules. It won't surprise me a bit when this program ends up on probation in a few years. How far we have fallen. We have now become the OU of the 21st century. I would have thought Pelini would have been of better character than this or at least hoped TO would be overseeing who was being hired but it appears he is asleep at the wheel. 6. CU and MU are clearly the scumbags of the the north. Anyone that has ever attended a game at either of those two cesspools has a clear understanding of what a bunch of classless jerks they are.
  7. If he were truly committed to NU he would stay here, at his current employer, and fulfill his contracted duties. I have to wonder about about his level of commit to the Huskers to be doing this. NU should be his prime interest and only concern but instead he is heading off to LSU for 3 weeks of which 1 week will be in prime recruiting time (Jan 2 - 9). But this shouldn't surprise anyone. He was on the OU sidelines during the 2004 Sugar Bowl while he was still the acting head coach at NU, still under contract and still drawing a salary from us. Seems he likes to attend other people's bowl games while employed at NU rather than staying at home and taking care of what he was hired to do. This is a very poor way to start off a relationship with the fans of your new home and demonstrates a very poor decision IMHO. Hopefully, his decisions from this point forward will be improved. But, between this and some of the extremely questionable picks he is making for his staff (5 of his assistant coaches weren't even involved in coaching this year while 2 are hold overs from this years abomination in Lincoln. Great start Bo.) I have a feeling we are in for another long 4-5 until we get to do this all over again in 2011 or 2012. I was excited for a few hours on Sunday but after that wore off and you start looking at the reality of the situation things don't look nearly as rosy.
  8. I don't know what these people expect. Do they really think in celebration after the game Bo (or any other coach for that matter) is going to come out and say. "Oh, BTW, I'm leaving to take another job somewhere else." They need to do a littler reality check. LSU just won the SEC and may have a chance to go to the MNC game. Tonight is for the coaches and players. The announcement will be made in next couple of days the same as it would have if LSU lost tonight.
  9. I think they will both be working in Lincoln come next week.
  10. Unless you needed a 3rd down conversion where we were 2-11 for an abysmal 18%.
  11. When did NU ever run the wishbone? Answer - never.
  12. I don't believe for a second he ever had any connection. Everything he put up here came after it was already posted on another board. He would assimilate information from the other boards, rewrite it and post it here as if he had an inside source. I couldn't believe it when he started crying and told the board he was going take his ball and go home then half of the people here started begging him to stay all syrupy sweet like a bunch of little puppy dogs. Agh! It made me sick to my stomach to see him manipulating everybody and them falling for it. And he hasn't existed for me either as he quickly made his way to my ignore list.
  13. I was searching for something else and came across this gem since by all accounts the job is Bo's if he wants it. Hope you don't make your living fortune telling
  14. I'm not sure a writer in Buffalo has an inside line on who are the leading candidates for the soon to be open head coaching position at NU. Considering those close to the program don't really have an idea of what is going happen. I like the line "If LSU hires Pelini". I'd give you some long odds that is not going to happen. It would be a hell of a stretch for NU to hire him and we don't have much left to lose if he turns out to be a disaster.
  15. Sip had this on his blog. Bold added by this poster. Steve Sipple - Life in the Red
  16. While you make some great points and I do agree with them, I disagree with this statement. The only way TO doesn't win in the short term is if he picks #1 and keeps FHCBC. While the others might like coach P over coach G or K it pails in comparison to any coach compared to FHCBC right now. If TO retains FHCBC I think it will cause a reaction much worse than four years ago when FHCFS was canned. But at least back then there was a ray of hope with a new regime coming in. If FHCBC stays, the fans will go into a state of depression faced with another year of that buffoon at the helm with memories of the heinous losses this team suffered fresh in their minds. Regardless, the only thing that will announced tomorrow is that fact that FHCBC has been relieved of his duties. The announcement of his replacement will be 7-10 days out.
  17. I thought he was hired to not let "let this program gravitate to mediocrity" and "not surrender the Big 12 Conference to Oklahoma and Texas." Seems like he failed those two directives pretty convincingly. Except we surrendered the conference to KU & MU in addition to the others and are fighting ISU and Baylor for the cellar. Don't worry. BC has no chance of surviving this. TO was brought in to bring the Husker nation back together and get things going on the right track again. If BC stays it would have a devastating effect on fan base and IMHO put sell-out streak is in serious trouble. TO knows this and will not let it happen under his watch.
  18. This certainly doesn't surprise me. What else would you expect from the residents of Boulder? It is the same thing every year it is just not NU fans that notice it. That cesspool of a city is made up of a population of classless jerks, liberals and drug addicts (hard to tell them apart though). Actually, I surprised you found two CU fans to back you up. Apparently, you found the only two people in the entire state that have any integrity. At least they didn't have to stop the game this year to throw out about 1/4 crowd like they did 2 years ago when it was remarked on national TV this was one of the most embarrassing events in the history college athletics.
  19. I'm calling BS on this nonsense. BC & Co. enjoyed sellout crowds for every one his home games, always. And a larger contingent of Husker fans that traveled to away games than practically any other team in the nation. Hell, some of the away games were practically neutralized by large number of NU fans that follow their team. It always irks me when folks try to blame the fans or media for BC's abysmal record and failures at NU. I suppose it was the fans fault in Oakland, the site of his last failure, when they went 4-12 and the team revolted against him.
  20. Talk is cheap. No way in hell would Hawkins ever follow through on that empty threat. As far as I'm concerned he is a resident of that scumbag state and just as much of a low life as every other colo resident. My bet is, if it does happen he will sit their with a smug look on face and thumb up his ass just like his predecessor. That expected behavior in that god forsaken state. The best thing that could happen to Boulder would be an air detonation of about a 1 megaton device to rid the place of the only two kind of residents it has, liberals and drug addicts.
  21. Pelini might be a head coach somewhere next year but it won't be at LSU.
  22. I always thought she was smoking hot back in the Smokey and the Bandit days. Probably a little past her prime now but maybe she has a daughter she could bring to the games. Who knows, she might be a far superior coach to the ones we have now and a lot easier to look at.
