  1. It's his #2 and #3 (at least in terms of reception yards)

    B1G vs. SEC

I think 5th best is more because you didn't hear as much about him as you did Gordon, Abdullah, Coleman and Cobb. True. Until you watch him. Big ten was loaded at running back. Yeah, I'd gladly take any of them.

    B1G vs. SEC

To me it's pretty clear the Pac 12 is the better conference this year. The SEC didn't hardly beat anyone with a pulse in the OOC. They then spent the rest of the year with the media drooling all over them while they beat up on each other. They then laid a big egg (relative to what the media thought they would do) in the bowl games. Meanwhile, the Pac 12 actually played some good teams in the OOC with their best team beating a top ten team (possibly top 5) and they have a team in the championship game after winning a playoff game. I think it's laughable that someone would say "well, the Pac 12 is getting closer". Dude, they passed them up. Was talking to my roommate this weekend about where we would rank the various conferences for this year top to bottom. IMO it goes: 1)PAC-12 - Clear frontrunner 2-3)B1G/SEC - Both seemed to be pretty evenly matched this year, all teams considered. 4)Big 12 - Yes, TCU and Baylor are both elite teams but aside from that, Big 12 is a conference with a whole lot of offense and no defense. No other real standout teams, aside from maybe KSU. I would agree the the Pac-12 is looking a little better than the SEC, but I don't know that they are the clear front runner. I would also say that SEC would be #2 and I would put B1G #3. I think this bowl season has said a lot about how the SEC is down a little bit from what they have been in the past couple of years. I know that some people want to argue that bowl games don't really matter as much and they don't measure that much, but they measure quite a bit IMO. PAC-12 has a team in the national championship game and went 6-2 in bowl games this year and 8-4 against P5 non conference opponents. I would say that makes them #1 without a doubt. I am agreeing that they are #1, but some people are making it sound like they are a long ways in front of the SEC and I just don't agree with that. I think they are slightly better than the SEC at this point. I would unfortunately have to put the SEC at the clear #2 ahead of the B1G though. SEC: No team in the national championship. 7-5 in bowl games and 6-6 against P5 non conference opponents in regular season B1G: Team in the national championship. 5-5 in bowl games. 6-11 against P5 non conference opponents in regular season. I hate the SEC and how they are over-hyped by the media. However, I love seeing most people on the board state how the B1G is really down all season long and then they have a good bowl season and everyone is instantly wanting to say they are better than the SEC. I hate the SEC, but I still wouldn't put the B1G ahead of them as a whole conference right now. All of this is just my honest opinion however and I do respect your opinion as well. I would love to see some good non-conference match-ups next season to help determine where all of the conferences really sit in respect to each other. Maybe it's not that they are wrong about the SEC, but that they were wrong about the B1G That's a very real possibility. I'm not an Ohio State fan, but I really hope they beat Oregon. That would really be a boost to the conference for Ohio State to beat the mighty SEC Crimson Tide and then take down Oregon! I hope they beat Oregon too!

  5. So did the Florida Running Back
  6. You gotta love it. They won despite Urban. Thought he must have gone to the Bo Pelini School on Coaching. First half - first and goal from the one and they line up in shotgun? With a big QB. Sneak the damn thing 3 times if you have to. Then that last drive pass. What the hell was he thinking. We'll trick em. Was pulling my nose hairs out. GO SEC. Down the tubes. YES! Ohio State has never run under center since Urban Meyer became coach. Switching to that at the goal line could be disastrous. (Since they never practice it) What ensued was disastrous. They go from 1st and goal from the 1 to 2nd and goal from the 10. I assume you are implying that they might fumble the snap? I'll take my chances under center. Correct. And personally, I'd rather take only a safety than give the other team a chance to get a TD from fumbling the snap. I think you are confused. They were first and goal from the 1 yard line. Unless they would get sacked for a 99 yard loss, a safety wasn't a concern. When you're first and goal on the 1 you don't line up in a shotgun especially with an empty backfield. Did you see this play? If so didn't you cringe when you saw this formation? Sorry, I thought you meant when they were on the 1 yard line the other side. My bad.
  7. The photo above is a result of the read option. What's the difference of adding another runner?

    B1G vs. SEC

I saw that in an ESPN article and searched it. They make it seem like Urban Meyer himself said he wanted to turn OSU into the SEC north but I googled it and couldn't find anything like it. It's just some crap they made up. SEC is just B1G South since all the successful SEC coaches started in the B1G

  10. By stating facts? Teams have caught up to the SEC. They dominated college football for some time, but the last two seasons have shown that the rest of the country has caught up. The PAC-12 was the best conference top to bottom this season, and the ACC has held their own in some big games this year. The Big 10 has a bright future with the hire of Harbaugh and the existing coaching staffs at MSU, OSU, and Penn State. The Big 10 West will be a helluva division in two or three seasons. Then why not say the SEC is 10 and 2 against Ohio State in bowl game (well now 10 and 3)?

Ohio State has never run under center since Urban Meyer became coach. Switching to that at the goal line could be disastrous. (Since they never practice it) That had less to do with Urban and more to do with Tom Herman, the new head guy at Houston. Buckeye fans can't wait for that guy to leave. They were going thermonuclear last night on that last drive when he threw the ball on first down. Um, I'm a Buckeye fan. While at times we thought he was out MENSA'ing himself, he's still a good coordinator, and I don't think many people wanted him gone.
  12. And yet, some of 'Bama's star players are from Ohio. Trey DePriest being the most notable.

  14. Carr retired. Hoke wasn't a good coach.
  15. this is from the Detroit Free Press, not UofM. the sooner the freep goes under the better. I meant that as the state, not the university itself.
  16. So he'll be transferring to Duke, Oregon, AND Texas?
  17. (way to start off on the wrong foot Michigan)
  18. Still have to assume he's going to wait to hear offers from NFL teams. Still have at least through Sunday (if not Monday, not fully sure about the rules)
  19. Neither does Harbaugh (yet)
  20. God, I hope you're right. I think we could beat 'Bama. I would love a blowout.....but I'm not holding my breath for one. As far as parity goes, the SEC has felt pretty comparable to the rest of the conference landscape. Bamma didnt overly impress me this year by any means. They are very beatable. What special things has OSU done this year. Was it getting beat like a rented mule at home against a crappy ACC Va Tech team? Was it the double or triple or whatever OT victory against Penn State? They beat Michigan State who's signature win this year was us. They stomped a Wisconsin team that really wasn't very special at all. Bama has played some tough competition this year. I'm not so sure I can say the same about Ohio State. Plus, Meyer hasn't exactly fared real well considering the last two times he's faced Saban. Saban's more than likely the primary reason Meyer is on Ohio State's sideline rather than Florida's. Destroyed 4 top 10 defenses. (3 of them were away/neutral site games) Played 4 of the top 5 running backs. What tough competition did Bama play? I'm curious? Or are you only going by rankings that started out having LSU, and A&M in the top 5? Do you consider beating Arkansas 14-13 a big game, now that Arkansas has beaten a total of two SEC teams in 2 years?
  21. Talk about Michigan usually devolves into sh#t
  22. God, I hope you're right. I think we could beat 'Bama. I would love a blowout.....but I'm not holding my breath for one. OMG!! we beat Alabama........dude, you opened that package with the bong inside early! Huh? You think OSU has 0 chance at beating Alabama?
  23. Ohio State has not won a NC in 11 years and they're working on their 4th top 5 recruiting class in a row. Not sure why a NC is needed for B1G recruiting. Point? How many Bug Ten Championships have they won? How many have WE won? Now, shut up until Nebraska wins something. It's embarrassing. My point was, the NC game does nothing for recruiting. He said OSU making it to the NC game will help with recruiting in the B1G. OSU has had no problem recruiting without doing that.
