All about post count isn't it? There's been an extensive amount of people with posts lower than ~250 (even ~100) coming on this board, spouting a bunch of nonsense and riling up people for no good reason. Naturally, it's common for people to be critical of this type of behavior. Not singling out OP in regards to this. Simply saying the post count and reputation count is meant to show which posters have been here longest and have the most respect. Well pardon f'n me. I've been watching this game and team for a long damn time. Maybe I should hang out in an "official game day thread" and get my f'n post count up to whatever is respectable you fine fellow's.

Do Nebraska fans actually think that the team was loaded with only "small town guys with heart"? Yes, there were plenty of guys that fit that description, but there were a lot more super talented dudes that played with an edge. The mythology of NU history is just amazing. This fan does. I listened to it on the radio every Saturday with Bremser and watched it if it was televised. Read about it in the papers every Sunday beginning in the 70's. Not all were home grown but many of them were, strikingly similar to Gangwish, Fyfe and others.

It's a different generation with a completely different mindset. The drivel on this forum just drives it home for me. Back in the day we didn't have 5 star recruits with a "Nick Saban" type coach, we had small town guy's with heart that held each other accountable and a "we will win mentality".

im still skeptical of his abilities but i never doubted him as a person. And True. Hopefully if this program ever does get back to doing special things, Jack would be the first invited back to help celebrate it Guys like this is what made Nebraska a powerhouse football program. Riley needs to keep finding more of them and get them on the field. A unit is only as strong as it's weakest link.

Couldn't agree more. The toxicity, injuries, new scheme, my observation of what seems like the will to win, poor game planning, sure seems like the perfect storm to me. I sure hope cooler heads prevail because I'm in the "camp" that if we just scrap it all now or at the end of the season, it's surely over for Nebraska football.

I don't think Fyfe saw that db either, he was obscured by the other two underneath, sh#t happens. I'm perfectly fine being in the minority that Fyfe looks like a better QB than the other.

Fyfe is looking good. I suspected that he may be able to throw the short routes better than TA. Could the drops be partially because TA throws so hard? Definitely could be No it's because Fyfe is better I wouldn't say better, he throws the pass with finesse rather than trying to rocket it into coverage like TA does. So far Fyfe has a better field of vision than TA and throws catchable balls. I've seen him check down a couple times thus far, not throw it into double coverage and even a nice play action. Call me impressed.
