  1. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/46355-chrewy-chips-ahoy/ Hands down. This one was classic, but we have all had that moment when we fell down in front of the computer piss drunk and decided that we were going write the best thought out reply to a thread in manner that resembles Bulgarian. However, for me it's an easy toss-up between 1. Big Suprise??? Ubber Thread This thread really peaked at it's eepicness about pages 3-5 but was great. There were +1's giving out like every post. It was classic, and deserved a spot on the Huskerboard starting line-up(damn you knapplc, and your dang rules ) 2. The Shawn Watson Quips Pure Brilliance Started in November and pushing 24 pages. Anytime you need a pick me up, pick any page and you'll find many a good chuckle.
  2. OH MY GOD. Watch Sportscenter for the Ally Oop Sir Dunks Alot(Blake Griffin) throws down reverse off a bounce pass from Jon Wall. SICK!!!!!!!

  3. Four first round picks for carmelo????Dump his ass Denver. And I am not even a Nugget fan

  4. Texas St. had flat top as their middle LB, but lost to Sinbad, Jason Bateman and Kathy Ireland as a kicker in the last regular season football game.
  5. My pitch would be, "Please at least give us a chance to pitch our pitch"
  6. Seriously?? Turman's game plan when in for TF and Brook was the following. Don't F*** up the center exchange and turn either left or right and give the ball to LP. THe defense will do their part, just get the snap. I have had this conversation with Zach Weigert and he said it. You and I could have been QB then and probably won with that team. Remember, Cody got his mellon mushed against ISU and that tightened the hand cuffs for Wats considerably. But as bouncing boobs avatar said that pass to Reed on third down was a perfectly placed dart. The Baylor game is another bad example IMO. Cody looked great in the first half, NU got the lead and then sat on the score relying on the Blackshirts. He made one bad throw and it got picked, damn you'd think he made a true frosh mistake, oh wait it was. Cody throws a very good deep ball, and he did it in this game the one time he was given the chance to Niles. I like Cody, and am coming off a bigger homer than I really am with the kid. But for the love of all things Bob Devaney can some people just be happy with what he has done. He is put in the crappiest situations with very little chance to succeed and has never bitched or moaned. And when his number has been called to start he has only helped deliver. Now I hope that Brion or Jamal tear crap up in the spring game so we can all relive this throughout the summer and into fall camp. That is now my wish
  7. Pretty sure it had been posted on the main board before. I remember the Jimmy Clausen look alike chilling in the background of the pic. But yeah Lane=a giant douche, but with hottie that I would volunteer being a douche for
  8. Tis true, Herc. However with his baseball potential with NU(and down the road)if he ends up here, he will never put on that kind of weight. He has the frame of Newton and that could be a great example if we were talking solely football, but I am sure this all will be moot come mid August.
  9. The other thing that hurt Reesing his SR year was the fact that Jake Sharp or any of their RBs failed to instill the fear of God in any defense that they faced. They lost 4 of 5 on the OLineas knapplc said, and their running game sucked. Other than looking like a total fruit in his now famous boxed wine photos, Todd Reesing was a HELL of a QB. When he had time, or faced Coz, he made the game look way too simple.
  10. He better put on some weight then... 6'5" 195? Even at 6'1" 205, Martinez is more of a Tebow-style athlete than Starling is. Don't see the point of using Starling in that role. I'd rather see him in the slot, like we used Bobby Newcombe his freshman year. I am thinking he was hinting at Bubba being the more "bruising" option at QB. Bubba will lower his shoulder and run you over if he doesn't juke you out of your jock. Taylor is more of alright you got me, I didn't outrace you to the sideline, please keep my ankle in it's joint when tackling me runner.
  11. 1. These instant INT's was it the one last year against A&M on a hell of an athletic play by the DB on the sideline, or the two as a true freshman, one of which was in pure garbage time where even the bluehairs knew we were throwing the ball against Tech. 2. Maybe the victory against CU was nothing I mean it only clinched the North and the ISU game, hell who on offense was healthy that game, but you're right no pressure. Saying Cody Green has never been in a meaningful role in Husker football is like saying Matt Turman never existed. All he did was execute the game plan, manage the game(by this I mean take care of the ball and not hurt the team), and get the win. HOLY CRAP it is exactly what Cody did. Were the situations different? Yes. But exactly how well would you have felt leaving the Big XII without making the conference title game after being the favorite all year. Probably sick to your stomach and you'd be lying if you said otherwise. So maybe we should quit living in the late 90's and take the good that we as fans are dealt in the present. As I said before, this is not my holy crusade that Cody will start, I am just putting it out there, that he has done much more than a lot give credit to. As far as the QB race, Taylor has a LONG ways to go in a lot of areas, but should be the odds on favorite because of his experience, but no one except Bo and Beck really know what direction this offense will go and what the QB will need to be able to do to get it there. Finally let's go strictly hypothetical and say Jamal Turner goes ape in the spring game, much like Taylor did last year. There would be a buzz, and MANY would call for him to challenge to start. Bet the mortgage it would happen.
  12. Bump, asking because I have seen him listed at different positions in different sites. Thought he was DL though. DLine
  13. Thinking it ay need to be four of five with one of those four being Texas' scalp. The RPI is not helping the cause at all. However, the only game I feel remotely confident is the trip to Ames against a tired ISU team, even with the contest in Hilton which is like the Bates Motel for NU. All these other games will be huge because each team will be jockeying for possible NCAA berths as well as conference tourney seeding too. A tourney, in which if NU goes one and done say hola to the NIT
  14. Has made it to the semi-finals in a whopping :38 seconds. The pin in the first round took place in :10, crazy. This is no suprise, maybe the kid from Howells makes him wrestle past the first period in the finals.
  15. Well if leading the team to wins, game management, and doing what is asked of him when starting isn't high on a priority list I guess he hasn't shown much yet. Again I am not flaming that Cody is great and should be starting but the style of offense NU ran last year was nothing really like the style of offense NU was running when he was recruited. Of course it is obvious to see when he enters and runs the spread. If he would have started from the start last year, the offense NU ran probably would have pretty different. You do not put up the stats against the competition he faced in Texas by luck. And the boneheaded decisions in games was more of a push
  16. JoHn Garrison should be coaching the centers and guards and Barney coaching the tackles, which I believe is gonna happen. Sipple actually said something really good when saying how overlooked he was after following Riola 10 years ago. The guy was a rock at center.
  17. play of the Game. Jeter's dish to Toney as the shot clock is running out with about a minute left. Great, great pass.
  18. Ding Dong the streak is dead. Nu gets that elusive road win in an ugly game in the ladn of Boomer. Dancing bananas for everyone!!!!
