  1. The biggest place Boomer would be hurt if Murray can't go would be their pass protection. Murray is very good at blitz pickups and a hell of a receiver out of the backfield. With the blitzes that Bo and Carl can dial up a Murrayless Boomer backfield becomes very vulnerable. My money however, is he plays.
  2. My favorite bit about the '01 game is that when Boomer ran their QB throwback it was SO much more open. And then the Blackshirts turned Jason White's knee ligaments into rubberbands. For me personally the best memory is TO's 250th victory and the final trouncing of Boomer for TO. 69-7 it was a great party to have personally attend. Other memorable moment is the Sandman continuing to run his mouth and then not being able to back it up. The Sooners rolling in with bolt cutters was classic.
  3. Boomer will be a Top 15 team Saturday. So it would be four, if NU is fortunate to win Saturday night
  4. Chickillo is a legacy and I will bet the farm he won't reopen his recruitment. I will be the first one to order up a plate of the black bird if he does
  5. Too bad it isn't a year that the North is the home team. That way NU could go total nostalgia and bring out the all reds, coulda ended that funk as well.
  6. x2 on Finch, the kid is good and could very easily become great. The thing with Murray is more than his running. He is a great receiver out of the backfield and his blitz recognition and pick up is 100x that of the other OU backs. Think Marlon Lucky with more injuries and that is DeMarco Murray Murray looks banged up to me, much like Roy last year. Erin Andrews said that Murray told the OU trainers that something didn't feel right when trying to move around on it. This could be huge. I like the thought of a true frosh trying to figure where and when a Pelini blitz is coming

  8. Let's look at the matchups. The great thing is, NU has beaten every Big 8 school except Boomer, might as well go out in true old school fashion. I like the matchup of NU's secondary vs. Boomer WRs. Put Prince on Broyles, Dennard on Stills, Hagg and Gomes on Kenny and Hanna. I like those matchups. And Landry will throw it to anyone most of the time. If Murray and Finch are dinged up that only enhances the chances for a victory I think. The interesting matchup on the other side of the ball in my eyes will be Boomer LBs(Box and Lewis) against Rex and Roy. The lines may be a push based on the numbers opposing teams have ran on Boomer this year. Let's get it on CONFERENCE TITLE WEEK BABY!!!!!!!!
  9. Alright I'll show up and eat a little crow as well. This is a game that a typical Husker team folds up shop and loses by 30+ after that Trojan start. My hats off to the team for manning up and fighting back to get the W. One thing, Ubel make your damn throws or at least one of them to take a little drama out of it.
  10. Are you sharting me

  11. Herbie goes for the ref conspiracy by calling out two non call blocks in the back. That's funny

  12. That's for Oregon's style which is in an entirely different league than the hurry ups that NU has faced. The Duck style is hurry up on crank.
  13. Okie Lite had the best success with their quick tempo. But the halftime adjustments made by NU's staff were outstanding, the Pokes didn't do much in the second half. Boomer's hurry up isn't quite the frantic pace that Okie Lite and Mizzou runs. I'd feel much more comfortable looking at maroon and white across from the scarlet and cream next weekend.
  14. Shannon's gone, there is plenty of talent on that list. I will go out on a limb and say no one.
  15. Greg Burke's crew doing Bedlam. How many flags tonight

  16. Submissions are sent by the Big XII office and not by the team? That says alot right there. The Big 12 office, just a band of a$$holes. T_O_B Do we know that for a fact, or is it just a guess? The Big XII had nothing to do with this. He was a semi finalist anf then it is up to the Groza Awards panel of voters to narrow it down to three finalists and then the winner. ALex himself said after the game when asked about the award said he is guessing it's a numbers thing. It will be no big deal when he is drafted before any of the finalists. The NFL will see his success and superiority vs other kickers, especially when they know Alex punts like an All Pro, and that will give them an extra roster spot.
  17. Holy crap we are witnessing another Ray Finkle in the makings

  18. HOW DO YOU MISS THAT

  19. Kellen Moore IS THE MAN. Where is your safety Nevada

  20. These are obviously my favorite quotes for Bilbo. To me, Danny is saying he knows good anal foreplay when he sees it. The boys in Texas has taught him that. So of course it wasn't testicular assualt, but just good old fashioned Dan Beebe DeLoss Dodd anal foreplay.
  21. Seriously. I'd like someone to take a class with him and just start badgering him with questions, trying to figure out his personality. At least we'd know the truth, sort of. I know people who have taken/currently taking class with him and a few of his professors. He is a quiet kid who seems sort of shy somewhat. I know a few non-football athletes who seem to like him, he isnt fully hated. He is what he is. That's the thing. He's probably arrogant, but some of this hate in the locker room could come from jealousy. For one, Watson always praises the kid and nobody else. I'd probably kiss the ass of the one kid that can make his offense not look like crap if I were in his position too.
  22. And the crap pile he keeps digging himself into gets bigger and bigger. I would have been more interested in the line of utter crap he would have spewed about the Clown trying to twist Rex's head off. This guy is now my new hero.... HE'S DAN BEEBE, AND HE'S A BIG BOY
  23. This is way more on Gilmore's hands than Wats. Only Gilmore could screw this thing up But overall...who is in charge of the Offense? Watson. I do agree though, Gilmore is an average WR coach at best! I co-relate Gilmore and Doc on the bball front. Both refuse to play guys if they don't have a perfect week in practice. I just want to see the best guys out there. I don't care if he dropped a pass on Tuesday and missed a block on Wednesday, play the damn kid on Saturday. It is idiocracy like this that has kept both NU's wide receiver corp and the bball team in disarray.
