  1. This is way more on Gilmore's hands than Wats. Only Gilmore could screw this thing up
  2. First bolded part I was at the game 17 rows up behind the Husker bench, this happened the whole game. Second bolded part, it had to be hard for him to do that with the rest of the players blocking his view of the field from in front of the heater. Just sayin looked a lot like not really giving a hoot.
  3. I forgot that Ed Stewart worked for the Big 12. I'd be interested to hear his take on this latest development. Man really, missed the memo stating this. Ed going from AD at Mizzou to a position within the Big XII is like going from Darth Vaders gofer bitch to being head of the darkside. Poor guy
  4. As much as I side with you huskerjock, and look forward to this weekend game against the south. The issue I have is that this is a guy who many on this board were singing the praises of, that would lead us to the promised land, and so forth, but he can't even act like he cares his team is in a that big game to decide the north?
  5. That was blatantly obvious today. Taylor just off, by himself, with no one else interacting with him. Also found it funny that all of our other QBs have headsets on, or are helping signal in plays. But Taylor is just standing off to the side, doing nothing to help. Damn you Willie, ya got yours in while I was typing mine. Good to see another set of eyes saw his actions today
  6. I really could care less on what transpired last Sunday. He did. He didn't. Whatever. What I do care about however, is this kid's demeanor on the sideline today. Yeah, he may not have friends or what not but you can at least move your butt off the heater to interact with YOUR TEAMMATES. The kid was a stone. Didn't go over to meet witht the offense when they would come off the field. No celebrating with players. It was frustrating to watch. Another thing. Something that helps all young QBs is being involved in the process of calling plays and seeing what is actually going on in the game. You know seeing defenses and thinking what you may do in given situations. But nope, just chilled in front of the heater. I didn't know two bumb feet keep you immune from toting a headset or help signal in plays. This "attitude" that keeps getting thrown out by various sources is starting to become clearer in my eyes. I cannot blame other players for not liking him, another thing that has been thrown around a lot. ACT LIKE YOU CARE TAYLOR. Finally, Taylor was the last Husker off the field, almost five minutes after every other Husker had left. He was with his parents, I know he doesn't get to see them much, but he can do that afterwards into the evening. GO CELEBRATE WITH YOUR TEAMMATES!!! Taylor is a phenominal athlete, and he had won me over as a fan with his early performances. But after spending a good chunk of the game watching his demeanor and activity on the sidelines today, I can honestly listen to those with their theories on him and am starting to really care less if he does indeed jump ship. Thank you for your patience, commence with discussion.
  7. Just think if the coaching staff hadn't played it smart(resting Roy, the majority of the second half, and Rex, the majority of the 4th) and Rex continued playing in the 4th, I don't think it would be a question of Rex hitting 1000 yards. At the rate he was going(5.3 a clip) he probably would have knocked the yards needed down to just over 100. But kudos to the staff for being smart and resting NU's two best offensive threats.
  8. Because in the game thread they were correct. The guys out there are not the guys you want trying to throw blocks in that situation(against their KO unit). It also lessens the chances of some blowhard throwing out a cheap shot hurting one of the Huskers. Remember 4/5 of the starting secondary is out there as well as NU's two healthies running threats. It was the right decision. And I am sure it was ordered by Bo if they did kick it deep instead of onsiding it, to take the knee.
  9. I'm sorry it's over. No longer can I use the Mike Gundy " I'm a man I'm 40" tirade as a means to enlighten my day. This has been forever erased from my mind. From this point from here on out it will only be I'M DAN BEEBE, AND I"M A BIG BOY! I can't believe he called himself a "big boy". You have forever etched your fame in douchedom. Thank you for this you screwdriver.
  10. The thing is this kid is a freak athlete. It was good to see him get rewarded for paying his dues. Too bad injuries derailed his baseball career, as he could've been a hell of a pitcher for Anderson. Also the kid probably would be getting minutes for Doc at the point or 2 guard. In high school I thought basketball was his best sport. He averaged like almost 30 a game for Aurora his senior year. Hopefully he doesn't fade into oblivion the next two games in typical Gilmore antics.
  11. Except the douche would probably make his secretary do the presentation on behalf of him if NU does win. He will have a "prior commitment" I am sure. Probably has to be at Dodds house for a bikini wax or something.
  12. OK, Zona just got screwed on the worst helmet to helmet hit penalty ever. That was a complete hose job and Stoops has every right to go Bo on the refs.

  13. Walking down by the east side of the stadium a little before the game and I saw someone with this sign. So there was at least one.
  14. What row? Section 1 be represented with two members of the greatest board out there.
  15. I believe all schools have the option to puy their names there. I know Kansas and ISU do for sure.
  16. Ya know if it was Hansen and not Danny Jr. running the show for the Buffs I would be a lot more worried. Your line is good, and Stewart fits nicely into their scheme, but having Danny Jr at QB is like having Gary Pinkle as a head coach. Everynow and then you'll get something spectacular, but he'll always fall back to reality and revert to being Wile E Coyote and blow himself up and fail. Senior Day for this group, last Big XII regular season game, last CU game for the very long forseeable future, a trip to the CCG, and with Bo as the coach, I expect total focus and a great outcome.
  17. How big of a set of balls would an underclassman have to declare he is leaving early DURING the season with Bo as coach? I wouldn't expect either of the two to skip their last year to go pro because of the huge question mark aabout the NFL and a lockout. But you never know.
  18. The Journal Star said that Ryan Hill and Faron Klingelhoefer are both juniors that are ending their football careers and will also be honored. Hill for concussions not sure for Faron.
  19. Happy Turkey Day to the fine people of HuskerBoard

  20. I am thinking that this guy should be one of the top 2 or 3 priorities for the staff now. After reading in the paper this morrning that Ryan Hill is ending his football career due to concussions that leaves NU with only two scholly TE's that are worth anything. There is a large gaping hole after Kyler and Ben. NU needs a TE now in this class without a doubt and Mr. Bryant should be that TE.
  21. Remember according to Wats the offense IS multiple. It can suck in multiple ways against a superior defense. But back to the topic. And that is getting Will Henry the DAMN BALL on senior day!!!!!!!!
  22. Taylor shouldn't even dress for the game. Stayin the street clothes and the walking boot. Rest that ankle, even warmups puts a lot of unecessary stress on the thing. We will win behind Cody. I hate Bo's injury status games too. If Lee could play don't any of you honestly think they would have put him in down at A&M? If Zac was really anywhere near being able to play he should have been the guy to go to in a hostile environment. I read between the lines and believe the sentament shared by a lot of others on this board and other boards that he(Zac) is done.
  23. Sal Aunese was a QB for Colorado in the late 80's. In 1988 he got head coach Bill Mccartney's daughter pregnant out of wedlock and had a son, TC. In October of '89 Sal died of stomach cancer after being diagnosed in February. The doctors said it was inoperable. Further more the issue of him knocking up McCartney's daughter was huge. A.Sal was Samoan, she was white. And, B the whole out of wedlock thing was huge back then. In fact when it was broke that Sal was the father, members of CU's athletic department tried to get a hold of as many newspapers they could to try to somewhat hide the story. The Buffs used Sal as a rallying cry for the rest of the season and dedicated the year to him. Never more did it seem more evident then when the Huskers visited Boulder. A controversial game NU lost 27-23. A lot of CU players and fans said it was because of Sal, spirit, memory, anything it was Sal. Even an NU linebacker Jeff Mills pissed them off fierce by saying the Buffs were using the death of a teammate to their advantage. Well a lot of Nu fans the next year and a ton of students. Started the Sal is Dead, Go Big Red theme. There were chants of that before and during the game in '90. A lot of them. Hell there are still Sal is Dead t-shirts out there somewhere I am sure. Karma definitely was a motha effer that day as NU blew a 12-0 lead in the fourth giving up 27 straight. As far as the signs on the Interstate I'm not entirely sure if that was true or not. I heard there was one right at the border as well painted on the Interstate across the two lanes. There were signs at the game though. Like I said earlier, it became a big deal. Kinda along the lines of trolls coming on here calling us out as "greatest fans" after meltdown modes. A lot of hate from the sCum faithful comes from this incident.
  24. Can a brother get a Will Henry sighting with the ball in his hands on his Senior Day? With Niles down, there is no better chance than now. Extra cradit for a TD. He and Cody did hook up for a long score in the Spring Game. Hey, just sayin.
