This is a great observation. I didn’t watch all the BYU game (I’m getting too old to stay up). They have had a terrible year, but they are still fighting. We have not fight. Its become pathetic to say over the last month or so….. I wish we were more like Kansas or Colorado.

There was progress. We went from embarrassing to trash. Next week we might be meh.

I think the offense made a step from embarrassing to just bad. I’m tired of hearing how great the D is. It’s ok. They are not great. Our culture is broken. We just suck. From a coaching standpoint I just don’t know how many more times I can watch us run a two minute drill like a 8 year old girls basketball team. It’s embarrassing how poorly we manage the clock. The throws to middle of the field for 3 yards are just brutal too.

Not glass. That’d be like Roadhouse. #1 or #2 plastic 20oz. Could spice it up with loose cap and some urine. Trucker style.

Allstate could sponsor nets that go up in sections around the stadium, like hockey. Potential bad call and all the yellow shirt blue hairs start putting the nets up. Bottles and Runzas rain down on the first few rows.

I think this is a great observation. If timing is right, the receiver has a chance to make a play. When it’s late, they get blown up or have defenders already reacting before the ball gets there.

I think he will do a better job of identifying what is working and coaching the players to execute. We have all the pieces to be marginal (our offense is terrible) pretty easily in my opinion. The bar is pretty low and I think Holgy is going to show how bad the coaching has been. I think Raiola needs someone to lead him and DH has been around a ton of high level QBs.

I really believe if the offense does ANYTHING the D is going to get better. I'm not talking about Sedona Vortex energy, but just the confidence that would be instilled in the entire team knowing we have a chance instead of "3 and out". We are also losing field position like no one's business. Just getting a couple first downs can change the game.

I don't think you can keep an overpaid position coach around. It looks bad for so many reasons. He has to be gone at the end of the year right?

Callahan made a guarded comment this morning on KFAB. Something like Holgorsen was in the mix previously to coach at Nebraska, but they wouldn't allow him to call plays. He didn't come right out and say it, but it sure sounded like he was alluding to it.

If they don't buy in after the offensive performance pretty much post Colorado, then they need to hit the portal. @Mavric posted his rankings as an HC. Looks the years he was most successful there was a solid run game involved.

Interesting series of events. Why not just name him right away? Wonder if in minute 12 of film eval he had his 42nd WTF moment which aligned with Rhule.

That was brutal. Absolutely nothing to be excited about after watching that. D was ok. The shooting, especially in the first half, was horrendous.

It’s early, but I think there’s plenty to be optimistic about. Bryce is a dude. Morgan moves well. I wasn’t as impressed with the other two big guys. Worster positions himself well. I think Essegian is going to be reliable. I’m excited about Griffiths took. $1 tickets on stubhub. I’m going Saturday!

I think in general we just want something different. I don't read a lot into Houston as HC. I think we are seeing more an more that HC is having a hard time being a football guy all over the country. I think it's fair to call out his style. Would it even work in the B1G? His powerhouse years he was stacked with NFL talent.

I think Chip Kelly moving to OC is going to make that type of move a lot more normal going forward. DH had moderate success at WV (Houston was rough), but seems like he’d excel as a coordinator.

Isn’t that why he’s here? Isn’t that why he has a monster NIL deal? I’m not standing behind a line of guys. Not my thing. I challenge him to earn the fat paycheck.
