  1. It looks like we play into each others' strengths. Their rush defense is the best part of their defense, while our rush offense is the best part of our offense, statistically speaking. Our pass defense is the best part of our defense, while their passing attack is the best part of their offense. I think this game comes down to turnovers and I remember seeing a stat pop up during the Oklahoma State game that said we have turned the ball over 22 times at home this year. If we fix that, I think we have a good chance of winning this game.
  2. Missouri has played the #1 team in the nation very well in this first half. I think we match up well, but then again, we play them in Lincoln..
  3. we desperately need an O line and an O line coach........same old $hit, just a different year at NU! Having the 4th best rushing attack in the nation, even after the Texas game, isn't indicative of at least an average offensive line? I'd say we're in pretty good shape up front.
  4. U sir, suck! Haha ya had me all excited for nothing! WOW, talk about raising my blood pressure for a second.. until I scrolled down an inch.
  5. i think you see it a lot when he gets flushed out of the pocket. i think it is more of a problem of him not having much pocket presence and not knowing how to take a sack. Yeah, that's probably true. I agree that he doesn't have a whole lot of pocket presence. The guy always seems to be hitting or bouncing off of the offensive lineman when trying to find a receiver.
  6. That's the mojo we're talking about! Atta baby!!
  7. I'm friends with Dennard on Facebook. Doesn't mean I'm committing to Nebraska. Yeah but do you hold a scholarship from them? Are you asking if they've offered me a schollie? If so, the answer is no. But that's only because they're complete fools. I can punt like nobody's business. Coach woulda put me in in the fourth quarter, we'd of made State. No doubt in my mind. I can already see the measurements. Knapplc: 6' 5" 265 lb :star :star Punter. He can also throw a pigskin a quarter of a mile. Suit up!
  8. Good point. Anything is still possible with this season.
  9. Does Shawn Watson have an aquarium guy? Maybe we should ask around..
  10. Taylor made some really bad reads, but that was only part of the problem. Even when he made the right read, we couldn't get anything going because the Texas LBs and safeties were coming down to the line hard to stop the run. Lee made the right reads, and I'd have to go back and rewatch the game, but it seemed to me that the defense backed off a little when he came in because they were more concerned with his arm than his legs. What we really needed to do was play action them to death until they respected Taylor's arm, though obviously the drops killed that, too. They said Taylor was getting frustrated, well... understandably so, but I still don't think it was at all necessary to pull him. I normally agree with the things Bo does, but pulling Taylor was ABSOLUTELY the worst call to do (besides the onside kick). I rewatched the game tonight and Martinez had six dropped passes in the first half, three shortly after half. Four (three of them Niles..) of those passes could have been caught for touchdowns. Another note, the plays that Lee was getting 5-6 yards on the zone read, T-Magic would have been getting 15-20 on them. He was getting those runs in the fourth quarter, when Texas's defense was getting tired. Leave Martinez in there as the defense wears down in the fourth and let him run wild. Phew! (I think I could have went on for a little longer)
  11. Thanks for posting, Andy. I would have loved to have gone down to Stillwater. I went down to Manhattan and enjoyed the heck out of it. I would think Stillwater would be just as enjoyable. Hopefully we, as Husker fans, can expect the same outcome as our last away game!
  12. I was hoping to see somebody like Helu or Niles step up and be a leader this season. As far as I know, it sounds like Keith Williams has been the only one on offense (that I've heard of) to take charge of the team and do what needs to be done; when it needs to be done. I'll agree with you that there really hasn't been any on-field, offensive player to step up and fill that role that we need to have on the field, NOT on the sidelines.
  13. I hope that this group of guys get the memory of the game out of their head and focus on this week. They don't have time to be feeling sorry for themselves. They have plenty more opportunities to prove their worth with the next big games coming up.
  14. If we play like this the B10 is going to eat us for lunch. Especially if Wisconsin plays like that against us in Camp Randall next year. They looked tough as nails They would've absolutely gashed our D today. Say what you will about the Big 10 and their speed. They got some tough guys running out there. Even Whitaker impressed me with his power running. Our guys just seem to go down whenever they are hit. No doubt about that. Clay is a perfect fit for that style of offense-the guy runs with a purpose.
  15. Ghost, no offense, but you really need to learn how to spell. I enjoy reading your posts, but dang.
  16. I wasn't alive for the Scoring Explosion of '83, but I have two posters of that exact picture up in my house. Does that count for anything?
