  1. Congrats on the win. This game was painful, several key events that really altered the makeup of the game. Sucks big time. Good luck Huskers.
  2. I would argue he is better than anyone in your stable of RB's, he's a legitimate Heisman Watch List type of back and a lock for the NFL. Don't ignore Jesse Callier, he isn't chopped liver at the RB position.
  3. Neither Hawaii nor Eastern Washington focus on running the ball. Over the past ten years Hawaii's highest Rushing Offense rank was #82, and that was in 2006. In the past five years their average rushing ranking is #105. Eastern Washington is, of course, a D2 (D1AA) school. They do not put a heavy focus on running, either, with an average Rushing Offense rank of #61 in the past decade, with their best year coming in 2004, when they were 33rd - again, that was in D2. Over the past five years their average ranking is #67. So no, neither team Washington "shut down" even really tries to run the ball. Just to point out something I recently was corrected on, EWU is D1-AA (FCS), and not D2. They are different levels. D1A (FBS), then D1AA (FCS), then D2, and D3 and JC in there somewhere. I think our dawgs go into Lincoln and beat you guys for the second game in a row. Udub will win this game by 1-7 points.
  4. Congrats on a convincing win, you clearly outplayed us in all areas of the game. Your fans really travel well, good luck going forward.
  5. Keep in mind that is a ten minute video of highlights, the other 50 minutes of the game are not shown. That TD run by Nassib in the first drive was his only long run of the game. The Cuse RB Carter broke off a few decent runs late in the 2nd half, but we contained him most of the rest of the game. My only point is that video shows the good plays for both teams, but you don't see the other 50 minutes of the game where we knocked Cuse around.
  6. I don't know that this is the best comparison to make. Martinez did that against inferior teams, while Locker has had rushing success against some of the best teams in the country, even as a freshmen as you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMfiq9CXss8&feature=related
  7. Rivals is horribly outdated, what are those stats from his junior year of high school? Eric is currently 6-5 & 300 pounds as of the start of fall camp. Granted, citing his size 18 months ago isn't a good point, but I think that it's more of the fact that he's a true frosh going against one of the top D linemen in the nation... True, but we are hoping he will perform better than Greg Christine who has at times been pretty decent and pretty subpar at others.
  8. USC tOSU LSU OKC Some pretty decent defenses Locker has faced, whether or not any were better than yours THIS season, I have no idea.
  9. Rivals is horribly outdated, what are those stats from his junior year of high school? Eric is currently 6-5 & 300 pounds as of the start of fall camp.
  10. Locker breaking his thumb in the 3rd or 4th game in 2008 is why we went winless (that and Tyrone was our coach) that year. He has not had much talent around him. Stick him on Florida's team and he would have blown away Tebow's stats. In Sark's 2nd year the talent level is much improved, but we are the underdog in this game.
  11. Holy crap. Very ignorant post. Powerful argument. Don't need to argue it, anyone older than 10 would know it's a ridiculous and ludicrous comment. Not worth spending any time on when a simple Google search would educate him. Even a crappy wiki link would immediately blow up his comments. Took five seconds to Google it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Huskies_football
  12. Sarcasm aside, Udub counts tickets sold, not how many actually show up.
  13. I honestly think Cuse would defeat Idaho 9 out of 10 times this year. Idaho was a bowl team last year, and yet we played like crap and still curb stomped them in Husky Stadium.
  14. How do you figure that? After they went up 10-0 in the first, we shut them down the rest of the game. Both of their TD's came from mistakes we made deep in our own territory. Example, if Chris Polk doesn't fumble on our own 15, they don't score that TD. We shut it down in the third and started just handing the ball off to run the clock out. We fumble and they score. Two plays later we score again with two throws from Locker to Kearse and Aguilar. Anyways, Cuse was never in the game after the first 10 minutes.
  15. They are throwing up the dubs for W-ashington As far as the Cuse runner, he had 3 or 4 runs that went for more than 4 yards, the rest of the game he was stuffed.
  16. Ta'Amu and Elisara are the starting DT's. Tokolahi, Robinson, and Potoa'e will spell them to keep them fresh. How good/experienced is your starting Oline? Here is our depth chart for this week: Udub Depth Chart for Nebraska game.
  17. I've watched what clips I could find online of your first two games, thought some of you might be interested in our last game. 10 min video summary of Syracuse @ Washington: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unURT2x2iww
  18. For what it's worth, we blew that bowl team out of our stadium last year and did it while not playing very well, just after a disappointing close loss to LSU the week before. On paper you should win this game, but I would be shocked if it's an easy victory. Of course I hope for the win
  19. Washington isn't Texas Tech, and simply watching film isn't going to make them into Texas Tech. If they beat us they'll do it in their own style, using their own weapons. Locker is 10x the running threat that Sheffield was, and their wideouts aren't as good. Kearse may not end up being as good as Crabtree, he won't put up crazy numbers because we don't run a spread crazy offense, but he is a legitimate NFL prospect.
  20. I was just going to post that bowldawg. Some of the Husker fans said he is not fast enough to be a true dual-threat QB, which is just total nonsense. They must have never watched him play before. Here is his 2009 video:
