  1. LOL, love it. We call that the Watson special.
  2. pretty decent conversation, i think they hit a lot of good points. I really have always liked Urban (altho hate Florida), he calls it like it is and knows the game better than the rest of those guys up there.
  3. I'm not going to act like we're sinless over here, but I sure don't see any Nebraska beat-writers/columnists getting on their soapboxes to write ill-mannered, editorial whine-fests about other college football programs or the states those programs call home. On the contrary, several writers from other newspapers around Big Ten/12 country have felt it necessary to do just that towards Nebraska in the last year. Mike DeArmond, Sam Mellinger, Berry Tramel, Dave Sittler, Jennifer Floyd-Engel, Kirk Bohls, and now this guy. The source of our indignation as a fanbase stems from the fact that these so-called "professional" journalists seem to happily eschew their professional protocol of objectivity to write these smarmy anti-Nebraska columns, whose arguments each boil down to: "What's so great about Nebraska? They only have 14 TV sets!" You'll forgive me if I'm averse to snobbish BS'ers who take cheap shots under the guise of professionalism. If we're talking about columnists and writers then I have no qualms or disagreements. Thing is, people tend to take the mistakes and pathetic...ness of the writers and project it onto the fans of other programs. me thinks you havent met many iowa fans and discussed football with them. that -1 button would be nice here. I have talked to a lot of Hawk fans and lived in Iowa for several years. My Family is split between Iowa Hawk fans and Neb fans. I think your totally off base. Hawk fans have had to listen to NEB fans since the 70's. We Husker fans knew we had better teams every year, I know I rubbed it in my brothers face every chance I could

Writters print this stuff to get attention and most of you fell for it. You know how many extra hits his article got from Husker fans?
  5. lol, really? Maybe check the list? sigh.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_American_Universities
  6. Forge

    NY Giants

I am just glad he didnt go to Dallas.
  7. Lol, the Pelinis know how to spot them. I want to see more pass coverage from him though.
  8. he is good, but he owes his teamates a huge debt. Excellent blocking from the entire team. His first step on pash rushing is also very good! I could see him as a CB and punt returner with his size and raw talent.
  9. Hot damn, he is TMart fast, but actually has moves to back them up. Jumping, spinning, juking, breaking tackles, great vision..... Love this guy! Long shot, but I hope we get him.
  10. I guess i dont see it. Most of the time he is arm tackeling instead of breaking down and hitting the guy. Most of his sacks he doesnt get touched (hitting gaps and blitzing fromt he LB) and his other tackles, the RB runs right into him. IF thye can speed up his first step and get him to tackle with his shoulder, he could be a LB/Rush DE hybrid that the Pelini's like so much.
  11. DAMN!!!! THat dude is a monster! I cant say anything bad about him. Great footwork, good strength, great posture on the pass rush, stays with his man on the rush, and a motor like Suh. I hope we land this guy
  12. Great footwork, good vision, and fast. Just need to lower those shoulders a bit and he would be a 4 star. Looks promising.
  13. single back, smash mouth would be my preference. But, I would be happy with any style as long as it puts up points and takes the pressure off our defense.
  14. watching his film, he is a little slow off the ball, but excellent motor.
  15. looking at his film, he is a good player against crappy competition. A few juke moves and breaking some weak arm tackles are all i saw. I think Scouts.com has him pegged right.
  16. Lol, you can tell we are all biting at the bit for this season to start. and just had to throw this in here...
  17. well, throwing motion, decision making, etc. can all be seen in 5 plays, let alone 20. From the first game he played in until now, tell me what he he has improved upon? He didnt make any strides during the regular season, now 4 months later, he is making the same mistakes he made 8 months ago. His throwing motion hasnt changed, his footwark is still akward to say the least. Again, please let me know what you see he has improved upon since the beggining of last year, cause I have not seen any. People been talking about Carnes since he lit people up last year on the scout team. Where you been man? I dont think Carnes should be the starter. I am just worried that Taylor has hit his ceiling, or isnt getting the coaching he needs (with Watson as your coach, very understanable)
  18. I was talking about your first link The correct link: It doesnt look like on of our startes, going by the picture. Not sure who was hurt though.
  19. haha, good laugh! I was like WTF, mike graduated last year, but i will read it. The second sentence in, it says 100 degree day..... No way in hell Lincoln is up to 100 yet. THats when i looked for the date.... "by Bill Pollock on August 12, 2010". Its all good, go back to drinking.
  20. Martinez is young and will make mistakes. THe problem lies in that over the last 5 months, he hasnt shown any progress. Where as Carnes has shown great strides in his development. Most people i know are more concerned that Taylor has hit his ceiling, which i agree with. but hey, what do I know. Maybe he will suprise us all. If he doesnt, I think Carnes will be the starter in 2012 (if Carnes keeps developing as fast as he has).
  21. lol, welcome to last year....
  22. Thank you very much!!!! I have never been to a Spring game before, but thought it would be good for a 12 year old kid to experience. Some kids may be running around, but I think he would really appreciate the opportunity later in his life. Thanks again
  23. I planned ot take my nephew to the Spring game so he could see the stadium and field. Someone then told me about some Drug Free Pledge the kids do on the field. I would like for him to be able to take part in this for obvious reasons..... But i am moving to another state and wont be able to get back in time. I will have his dad take him, but he isnt even into football. First, is it true? If so, can anyone let me know what my Bro needs to do to get his kid on the field?
  24. Corn Bowl seems ot be gaining traction with most the people i talk to. (kinda like the Iron Bowl)
