Like in 2010 and 2011 where we finally had top 25-20 classes? Remember, those guys are sophomores and redshirt freshman now. actually most of those highly ranked prospects are at other teams now. I think we have a serious issue in this years recruiting and going over the recruits who are still interested in NU, its looking bleak. If you want to start bashing on recruiting, maybe you should be intelligent before you do it. This staff can't evaluate talent and can't get any on campus. Go look at Ameer Abdullah's recruiting profile. Go look at Imani Cross' recruiting profile. Would you be so kind as to read me the dates those profiles were created? Because I'm 100% certain Imani's was made late late December and Ameer's early January. So if you want to keep grasping at straws and freaking out over the recruiting situation in early November, you might want to study a little bit before you try to argue any further. . Our coach is on his way out, we got beat by Minny, almost lost to Wyoming, got manhandled by UCLA, and almost lost to an NW with an 0-6 conf record. This isn't 2011 or 2012, its 2013 buddy and we aren't going to land any big fish for the rest of the year. Do us all a big favor and STFU.

I thought I read that he lost 25 lbs over the summer, trying to get faster. I think that's why his power has been lacking this year compared to last year.

I like Ron, but lets be honest - he is husky/chunky. He isn't obese or what I would consider fat, but fat is a relative term. I am guessing he is about 245lbs in this picture without his rib protector.

lol after one game against an 0-5 conf record NW, and all of a sudden people have hope that we can run the table. The KoolAid is strong here. Nothing has changed from last week to this week, except a few more players got hurt - we are still going to be lucky to win more than 7 games this season. I am all for rooting on the team no matter what I think the outcome will be, I just think a few people here are setting themselves up for several big letdowns over the next few weeks.

Not exactly calling for Nebraska to be game of the week but it was more exciting than that game. I agree it wasn't entertaining. I think a lot of people were hoping for the game those two programs used to play in the 80s and 90s. FSU hit a home run with Fisher.

the coaches recruited these players, were supposed to develop the players and put the best ones on the field. IMO, they failed at all three to some degree. So, 100% coaches' fault. I cant blame the players, they coaches aren't putting them in positions to succeed.

I think its a mix of "A" and "B". Because of "D" we were able to accomplish "C". But, in the end, we are still "E".

If these new kids dont understand the pride associated with it, they probably dont belong here. that is not true. we have worn alternate uniforms, not to mention the subtle year-to-year changes. Was there BLACK in the UNIS? I dont mind minor changes, but this isnt minor.

Um what? Lol, this is such a small issue in the big picture. You'll stop supporting the players, the coaches, the university, the team . . . and you'll miss out on the biggest scheduled game of the year . . just because we changed our jerseys a little for one game? XD Tradition is not a SMALL issue to me. My family has had these seats for 20+ years, and we have attended all but a handful of games in all those years. Maybe if they spent the time and money on getting the crowd into it, instead of "hey look at me on TV"; we might win this game.

i just dont follow the conspiracy theory that some here apparently do. I would think a professsional service would want to get it right in the end. I dont think its one person who runs the whole show for ALL FOUR major services that wouldnt change ranking just because they are bull headed. No one is out to get Nebraska.... but thats just my opinion. I do agree with the services tend to always put Pocket QB's ahead of dual threat guys.

From the sounds of Urban, he plans to focus on speed. Good point about B1G spread QB's are runners. Were as in the B12, we mostly say pocket passing QB's running the spread. Outside of RG3, i cant remember a scrambling QB that ran the spread in the B12. But, I am glad to see the B1G evolving. I think the new coaches will start focusing on speed, and not just size. Hell other than Kirk and Brett, most the coaches in the league are very new.

It seems like with the new coaches coming into the B1G, we are seeing less down hill running offenses like Wisky. Iowa hired OC Davis that ran very successful Spread offense at Texas Ohio State hired Meyers Illinions (Beckman) is running the spread this year Indiana, K WIlson from Oklahoma will run a hurry up spread 8 out of 12 will run a spread type of offense this year. So, do we really need to change our D all that much?
