  1. I realize my posts talked about regulations, that was my fault, I should have said excessive regulations, those are hurting the economy.. like the EPA regulations regarding man made climate change, which is why VW is in the mess the are in. TDI's before 2009 are ok to drive, but all of a sudden after 2008, regulations made it so that car manufacturers had to cheat. it isn't just Volkswagen. They did not have to cheat. Their engineers elected to cheat. Plenty of other manufacturers did not do this. Further more these regulations level the playing field. If they are forced to meet the same regs no one can neglect health and safety to boost the bottom line over a competitor. You really think the indusrty would move to cleaner more efficient cars if the government didn't pushed them to? Sure they would if the buying public forced them. Government isn't the answer to everything, shocker for some, I know. Capitalism has always done a good job of pushing companies to change... Without government control! EDIT: Like I said before, I know all about the situation.. I have two of those cars. Really? What do you call companies who are doing somehing that causes cancer, know about it, and continue to donit until they're caught. Did they stop causing cancer due to healthy competition or because they were caught?
  2. So you're just going to ignore the others' completely valid points after you throw your two completely incorrect cents out there. Neat. From now on whenever I'm arguing about something that a topic was specifically meant for, I'm just gonna use the "starving in China" line.
  3. He shouldn't be able to play the next game. Maybe not the game after that, either.
  4. Texas A&M losing now. (edit: nm, I looked at scoreboard wrong and it's a tie) I almost always cheer for unranked teams but the SEC is the exception. Still mad TN won.
  5. WOO HOO. Now don't do anything dumb please Wisconsin.
  6. USC vs Alabama and Notre Dame vs Texas. Is it possible for all 4 teams to lose??
  7. Trying this out in a couple weeks. It's available on Roku now.

  9. NO THEY DON'T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111ONEONEONE. THEY HURT CAPITALISM. THEY HURTS OUR ECONOMY! FREE MARKET. NO LIMITS. FREEDOM. USA! USA! USA!
  10. There's nothing at all wrong with them having an opinion or speaking out about it. They should. I'm only talking about the actual action they're suggesting if it happens. I felt "meh, don't care" about the not standing for the anthem thing, but the socks show he's an idiot.
  11. I don't get the point they're trying to make by saying "Big game Bob." If they have an 80% chance to win, then it's not a big game. They're supposed to roll them over. Losing a game they're supposed to win doesn't show that he's not "big game Bob." It shows that he's good at flopping in games he should win.
  12. Joe Paterno a child molester? proof? accusations? "we all know these creeps "hunt in packs", what does that even mean? sounds like a medieval witch hunt quote. No we all dont know that, in fact thats a false statement as most pedos seem to act alone, it is pretty damn shameful after all. Paterno reported what happened and could have done more, really it was schools responsibility once he reported it. But let's not go full drama queen with nonsensical hyperbole. Paterno not doing more is an understatement. And those defending him like he did his part to solve the situation, are as discusting as he was. No drama gueen, just fact. Paterno was a coach, it was not he's job to handle that, he reported it and likely considered it handled. It was up to the administration to deal with criminal issues not "detective" Paterno. The man was also from a generation where things like that "didnt exist" so he was an unlikely expert how to even respond to something like that, other then doing what he did, reporting it. And yea calling him a molester is going full drama queen as there is no proof or even accusation of such. Calling Penn State Pedo Uni is in the same realm of drama queen, though I get it's just some peoples dislike for the school and they juice one bad thing for all they can. In the end a few individuals were involved and the school is full of teachers and students who are like any other Americans. Are you up to date with your knowledge on this or are you chiming in with 4-5 year old news? Because it sounds like the latter.
  13. A lot of times when I read about Clinton and the email stuff I remember she's about the same age as my mom. My mom runs a successful business and she knows nothing about computers or technology. The difference is Clinton probably has a huge ego and didn't think it was necessary to listen to the people who know what they're talking about when it comes to this stuff. And before the "so why vote for her" people chime in, Trump would be even worse in my opinion. I can't imagine him having anyone but Yes Men around him.
  14. I wonder what the legalities of doing that are, and why they would do it over what one person is doing. He doesn't speak for everyone just like the actions of a few bad police officers don't speak for all police.
  15. I think the selective outrage is the goal of both parties. If one party is loud enough about the other (even if they do exactly the same thing) then people will think they don't do the exact thing. Then no one is ever punished. They're just playing people.
  16. if the SEC wins together does that mean they lose together too?
  17. What a chart. I can see how the political process makes it easy for "tough on crime" to win. With as much that will always be at DA's discretion, that builds up and results in these sobering statistics. Feel-good campaign platitudes =/= sound outcomes. Is there a per capita chart? 'Cause this chart is pretty meaningless.
  18. Can't read about it now but did he wear the socks during a game? I really doubt they would let him. Or continue to let him after they notice. No, he wore those during practice the other day after he spoke to the press about his position. That's probably why the NFL allows it then. If they didn't it'd open a whole can of worms for other things players wear to practice. Anyhow, I saw his explanation for the socks. He said he has police friends and relatives and the socks represent the jerks not all of the police. Kinda reminded me of Trump saying he has Black friends.
