I agree with you! He may have made a couple of mistakes but this was one of his better games. If you want to blame someone blame the play calling in the first half. Blame the dropped passes! Come on KB and BK make a play. Is BK just a 5 yard hook play now? That first dropped pass by KB was total fear. He saw the hit coming and got scared. Defense and the first half play calling lost this game. Talk about a franky s Offense! Option left option right and up the middle? That's pretty easy to stop. I'm not surprised though I told everyone this week that NW was coming to play and they all laughed. Penalties just killed us. Blame who you want but #3 played well tonight!

He needs a lot more reps! Good god I'm glad Martinez is starting. Not saying Carnes cannot be good but for sure Martinez is the way to go. I don't read every thread but I noticed Martinez had gloves on both hands vs. Minnesota. I've heard different opinions on that from the people on TV and not sure if it's good or bad.

I'm glad to see someone sticking up for Nebraska. All the players on the team and frankly I find it fitting that Eric Martin would speak up for the Huskers! At least he has some balls. Bulletin board material is for teams that need it. I doubt OU and Bob Stoops need to use that tweet.

The D is not fixable and Taylor is not the man. Get 15 or 10 in as QB and get them ready so we can at least keep up later in the year. If not the future beyond this year is not good with him at QB. They have a freshman QB owning our D.

It probably is over. Though it's on the defense I hope they realize that with a poor defense your offense has to be able to score. I don't think they can fix the defense if they haven't by now so the offense will have to pull the slack. I don't think you know who can do that.

He's slow because they bulked him up to play D-line. I think he could do some good there. I'm a bigg fan of his and would love to see him used well.

I've wanted to see Martin start for a while. So far he looks like he's a bit slow and I see him chasing the guy he's suppose to cover. I can see now why he hasn't started. Hope he can recover.

I think the coaches failed in this game. Martinez is not a passing quarterback. After what over a year he still throws off his back foot and points his left in the wrong direction when he throws. That is bad coaching. I don't think he understands that there are linebackers out there either. He said it himself afterward that he needs to learn to dump it off to a back and not a defender??? I couldn't believe he said that. That being said I think he is our best option right now they just have to use him correctly. Running the ball and then using play action pass! He is clearly not the option at QB if he cannot pass consistently. And yes NU's QB should be able to throw the ball in this day and age. The D is not good at all. Even if TM threw the picks they still would have scored on their drives and I doubt we would have scored on those drives. The Pistol? We need to copy Nevada now? On the bright side I was happy to see BK catching the ball again. He has what it takes to be a leader.

The cyclones were close because the Nebraska Cornhuskers continue to play Piles Naul. They fill like they owe him something for him returning a kick off from time to time. That young man should never return or catch balls again. How many times does this need to happen? I understand the he is a kid and makes mistakes but come'on Bring back the Piles Naul Sucks thread!

I thought Cody played ok. Specifically after the plays he was given to run with. Our O line and D fense did well to win this game for us.

Yes our defense saved use from Niles Paul again. Even though he is great and he can do no wrong.
