  1. I mean, at least the kid has the conscience to realize that he's a part of this team now and he wants to avoid anything that is going to disappoint the coaches.
  2. Can this kid all of a sudden play another position or something? Or is someone planning on transferring...
  3. Agreed I guess Tebow kicked a 51 and 59 yard field goal, forced Marion Barber out of bounds and Tebow caused Barber to fumble the ball in OT. Now THIS is where the media makes Tim and all the fans look bad. All of the fans know it isn't just Tebow. The team knows that it's definitely not just their young, inexperience QB. And Tim is the first to say it was the team, not him. Stuff like that is on the media entirely.
  4. Are you kidding me?! The media has been incessantly fawning over this guy for years. No, pretty sure I was completely serious. I'm assuming you aren't a fan, and haven't seen nearly as many comments from the media as I have. 'Tebow can't do this, Tebow can't do that, Tebow will never be successful, Tebow can't throw a pass, Tebow can't run in the league', blah blah blah! Clearly he can get it done. And fine, for the sake of the argument, let's change 'media' to the rest of society outside of Broncos and Gators fans.
  5. Or Peat and Tyler Moore. What you said. Why does everyone think Sterup is amazing? The kid's big... that's about it.
  6. <----- Yes. Tim Tebow has arrived. But no, realistically. I was born in Denver and now live in Nebraska, the Broncos have been my team every second of my life. I'm clearly biased, but I'd ask that you have any open mind about what I'm trying to say. I'm the first of the fans (sorry, not like the sunshine pumpers around here ) to say he plays like absolute s**t.... until the last 5 minutes. You can't deny that at some point in those last few minutes, a flip switches. Something happens. Sure, it's ugly, but can you really argue with a 7-1 record as a starter? It's unconventional, totally doomed to fail at some point... and I love it. But what I don't understand is the constant hate from the media. Sure, he goes a little overboard in interviews with the God bit. Sure, he's one of those people that I totally understand would be fun to hate. But what has the kid ever done? Played for Florida? Sorry, I hope you know a lot of people probably said that to former Husker players in the late 1990s. I was talking to a relative of mine, and he made a good point. I mean, what does the kid have to do to earn some respect? Does he have to beat up his girlfriend, or maybe start some illegal dog fights? I mean, that's what all the cool, popular NFL players do these days, right?
  7. I thought that was pretty hilarious. It was obvious the writers randomly picked a location in the midwest that would be good for a witness protection hideout. The "Kearney, NE" they actually showed in the episode bore no resemblance whatsoever to the real place. At least they pronounced it right in the dialogue. Hahaha. I liked how they quit referring to it as Kearney towards the end. It became 'bumf**k Nebraska'.
  8. That news really doesn't affect Andrus as much as one would think. Something makes me feel like this might be about Andrus' potential position coach? Nope. One can put the pieces together. Think extendedly extendedly, as in extended family? Avery Moss. If we land Moss... is Peat essentially a lock?

  10. You can't be serious. It's not all about playing football in a certain kind of weather. These kids are actually going to have to live where they attend school for the next 4-5 years of their lives. And then they'll have to live in the city of their NFL team. So it would be best if they attended San Diego State. And only play pro ball if they manage to get drafted by the Chargers. What are you getting at exactly? They don't have a choice who drafts them, they have a choice where they go to school. He's saying they need to go to whatever school is best for them, not the school with the sunniest weather.
  11. Thank God it was decent and it didn't snow on him... I mean, those southern kids might catch a cold or something.
  12. Anyone watch Dexter? Dexter was in Nebraska a few weeks ago.
  13. So you're saying you think we have a good chance? Coming from the guys who said we were out of the running...
  14. I've pretty much decided that athletes come to Nebraska to die. Why? B/c we stick them out at WR and can't or won't throw to them. Fuller needs to be part of the running game in some capacity. Whether lined up at RB, QB once in awhile, slot with jet sweeps, etc. He HAS to get the ball in his hands. Same for Turner. We aren't using him right. He is not a good blocker, but they are determined to leave him at WR and make him block but never throw him the ball. Hand the f'ing ball off to him and let him run!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH One thing we've never done that I think we need to start doing is more of the Wildcat/Pistol stuff. I agree with the point you made, and point you to Oregon's offense. What do they like to do? Get the two fastest guys... put them in a wildcat formation... and say go.
  15. Yes, fills the speed OLB spot. 2 insides and 2 outsides, was the minimum hopes for this class Nance is a better OLB who is visiting next week and is still showing interest in Nebraska... Why not just tell Brown to wait a week or two before we take his commitment?
  16. Uggghhh... God knows we all hope you are right. What makes you so confident? Atbone, you have to get rid of that ugly avatar... Don't hate... Appreciate.
  17. Uggghhh... God knows we all hope you are right. What makes you so confident?
  18. Here's the question... Do we want Brown with shots at bigger, better LBs?
  19. Noooo! Today on Twitter it's listed as Arkansas first.... Facebook must be the lucky charm?
  20. I'm going to warn you now... when those kids become stars, and SEC schools are offering you $250k a piece... Remember Nebraska, please?
  21. This was another point I wanted to make. I mean, I haven't watched a whole lot of SC this year at all, so correct me if I'm wrong. But as for the hits/sacks you guys are posting, they all seem like the DL is going for bigs hits and/or just grabbing the runner by the jersey and flinging him around... Sorry, but that won't work with Rex. See 1:27 again for good measure.
  22. I know someone had previously (maybe in another thread) that you have some trouble holding on to the ball? Regardless if true or not... Lavonte David, along with being the absolute animal that he is, has become great at doing this, especially when it needs to happen. He's done it several times this year, this clip, Iowa... I think maybe one or two more times?
  23. Latest recruiting sham: Rose is ranked as the 28th overall LB (not inside/outside, both together) prospect according to Rivals. As we all know, he is commited to Nebraska, and is a 3 star recruit... #29 overall LB? 4 star recruit. I love recruiting services, don't you?!
  24. I have to say I disagree with the point there... Alabama loses to LSU, drops 2 spots. Now, I know it's sort of a polar opposite, but Houston loses to Southern Miss, drops 13 spots.
  25. His profile still shows the offers, I doubt they've been retracted... Are they just not committable at this point? I know Alabama has a ton of LBs committed, but OU only shows one.. bigger targets on the radar?
