  1. Sorry if I was being harsh. Honestly, if people are more worried about the 2018 class over the long-term future of the program, then they are misguided.
  2. Then why did you even make the post? EDIT: How is that even a dream scenario? Frost has run a completely different offensive system than Riley prefers, and how would that exactly work out with recruits that you are trying to save for this year?
  3. Frost is a head coach at a school that is just below the P5 level. He's not going to come in as offensive coordinator. This is just idiotic.
  4. I think it's realistic for Nebraska to compete for the Big Ten West division title every year.
  5. Tommy Armstrong may have been the QB that enabled Riley to win 9 games in 2016.
  6. Our point to firing Riley is that he has shown in his 3 years that he's not making progress to turn NU into a championship contender. If anything, he's going backwards. So, based on Riley's ACTUAL RESULTS, he needs to be fired and someone else should be given a chance, whether it's Scott Frost or another viable candidate.
  7. The reason I pointed out that Vijay Singh isn't "black" is because you seemed to making the argument of "I can't believe a black man who has suffered from racism, could turn around and be sexist." Well, due to the fact that Singh is from Indian heritage from Fiji, I don't know how much racism he has suffered from. Also, I don't think that sexism is contained to white males, I am sure there are plenty of black, Asian, and other ethnicity/races of males that can be sexist.
  8. I think there is a huge difference between being "multiple" and "creative". Mavric has done the research on the offense and has shown that certain formations result in a run, and other formations result in a pass. That's not being creative.
  9. The narrator commented on "pretentious suburban housing developments", so it may have not been the words of the Kate Wagner, it's the implied note of the video. I agree that there are architectural issues with these homes, but she is also coming off as a pretentious architecture snob.
  10. Mark Dantonio went 7-6 in his first year and 9-4 in his second year at MSU, taking over for John L. Smith who went 5-6 and 4-8 the 2 years preceding Dantonio. Dantonio IMPROVED MICHIGAN STATE right away. Riley HASN'T IMPROVED Nebraska, and based on historical data would probably never do so. Riley has shown the coach he is, and he's a bad football coach. I know you like him because he's a nice guy, but he's still a bad football coach for Nebraska.
  11. I recommend you try to find Mike'l Severe's podcasts on Omaha.com from yesterday. He has done the research or looked at research done. Basically, a coach at at Power 5 school who doesn't have a breakout season or huge improvement in wins by YEAR 3, will NEVER have one at that school. We are in year 3 of Riley. He has had 1 losing season, 1 season that was basically the same as his predecessor, and another season that is headed to .500 or worse. These are actual facts. Riley isn't a new coach trying to find his way. He's a 20-year veteran head coach who is so set in his ways, that he's easy to coach against and beat.
  12. Yet, he's not making due, he's losing and losing BAD. Riley's teams aren't losing currently due to an overall lack of talent, it's his offensive scheme, motivation of the players, game management, etc.
  13. Bo got 7 years because he was winning games consistently. Riley should be fired because he's NOT winning games consistently, and by the fact he hasn't "won big" in the first 3 years, there is a slim chance he ever will. He needs to be fired and someone else needs to be brought in.
  14. I think you can put career athletic accomplishments of men and women in the same discussion as "greatest athlete", as long as it's a discussion about career accomplishments. When ESPN did their rankings of top 100 athletes of the 20th century, there were 2 women in the top 20 (Babe Zaharias at 10, and Martina Navratilova at 19). I am not going to get in an overall discussion of those rankings (because they look to be focused on American athletes), but I think that's to put those 2 women in the top 20. If this list were updated to include the current era of Williams' career, I wouldn't be surprised if she were included in the top 10.
  15. I'm not an American Census expert, but looking quickly on the internet (so it must be true) he would probably identify himself as "Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander". That's a totally different category than "Black or African American". http://www.ir.ufl.edu/OIRApps/ethnic_code_changes/info.html
  16. But how is calling Serena "the best woman's tennis player" a pejorative comment? It's only a pejorative comment to someone who wants to take it that way, and tries to take offense to every comment.
  17. it's not sexist to say that Serena Williams is one of the best woman's tennis players of all time. The term of "woman" is being used as an identifying adjective, not a qualifying adjective. Men's tennis and Women's tennis should be treated as two totally different professional sports.
  18. But, you were trying to make a point using Singh "being black". While his skin color is dark, I am not sure if he feels "discriminated against" because he's native Fijian. He probably doesn't identify himself with a black-American, because he sees himself totally different. Regarding his stance on Annika Sorenstam, I understand that sponsor's exemptions are to be handed out on the discretion of the individual tournament, but Sorenstam wasn't going to realistically compete against the men. There are reasons why there are men's tours and women's tours in specific sports. It was ridiculous when people got all mad when John McEnroe said that Serena Williams one of the best "women's tennis players" of all time. In sports like tennis, there is a huge difference between the men's tour and the women's tour. If Serena Williams were going to try and play on the men's tour, she wouldn't crack the top 500 players in the world. Serena Williams has said as much.
  19. Ok, so he's not White, but he's a native Fijian, so I wouldn't expect him to be familiar with American racism as you think you should.
  20. Vigay Singh isn't "black" or African American, he's from Fiji.
  21. I'm gonna sell my home and build one of these. http://www.omaha.com/living/she-s-building-what-s-believed-to-be-nebraska-s/article_99ea4664-addf-11e7-8f2f-9fe40bdc33d7.html
  22. It's ironic that she's calling the McMansions pretentious, but she is being a pretentious architecture snob.
  23. Do you call your place the Hemingway Compound? I know I would.
