I don’t think Rhule had any connection to Baylor other than a job. Maybe that’s why we got the coaches kid from Baylor. Dad knew he Rhule would be moving on up.

Unfortunately we don’t have a time machine or Chip Kelly. He isn’t exactly tearing it up a UCLA. Is he? Who knows maybe the B10 will adjust to us after all. Time will tell.

You can’t compare NU to OSU we are light tears from them. Their talent is off the charts. I hope Frost makes it, I really do. But what I seen so far has me doubtful he can or will adjust to the B10.

Your right about Chip Kelly, he built an offense that was different/ tricky/cute, and very hard to stop until coaches eventually figured out how to defend it. When a team can out physical you...you can’t scheme or defend it. You just suffer the inevitable. We will never pass Iowa, Wisconsin, even Minnesota until we can impose our will on them. Grind the clock and play keep a way. Unfortunately, I see very little that gives me hope Frost and staff get that.

To bad we don’t play a physical style of defense. Also, our d-line will regress next season. What happened to Oregon’s best team when they played a B10 team for a title? They got thrown around like rag dolls. Please put down the kool-aid.....it’s rat poison!

I predicted 8-4 it was there for the taking, but coaching blunders against; Colorado, Purdue, and Indiana cost us. Add in terrible QB play making. Next year is all about the Purdue game it’s make or break much like Colorado was. We must start 6-1 before going to Columbus or no Bowl. I don’t see that happening. The ceiling is 7-5 but I think your right 5-7 is most likely. If we start off with a loss to Purdue it could be a really ugly year. I’d give Frost one more bad year/ losing season, next year. If he can’t get a winning record in year 4, 2021 time to move on. We will know his undefeated season was a fluke. If we have another losing season I hope he makes some big staff changes. He needs help.

He was just trying to motivate his former/ current team. Maybe he was slipped some bad preseason kool-aid like everyone else. and he wasn’t speaking about our physicality

We are just the kind of team other teams want to play. It’s like a week off. No real pain. Bubble screens are us!

I agree with you. It’s almost as though Frost has forgotten his days playing for Nebraska. Our best drive against OSU maybe all season was out of the I formation. Power physical football. And we never saw it again the rest of the season. A real head scratcher.

One good season as a head coach, that’s it. In that year he had a soft schedule and some major luck. That luck covered up his poor clock management, poor play calling, and terrible defensive coordinator. Which we all now see clearly. No more super week schedules and the luck has run out. Time to figure out how to coach in the B10, or all his good recruiting and program building won’t matter. 3 losing seasons in 4 years as a head coach. Ouch!

It doesn’t matter how we recruit or develop physically because... Sideways offense and bend but don’t break defense doesn’t scream physicality. In fact it screams the opposite to our opponents. Old school Oregon will never survive in the B10. What Oregon is doing under Chritobol will compete in any league. That’s what I hoped we would look like under Frost, but we don’t. Perhaps we should scrap the Oregon speed thing and just become husker power again. Remember the days when we could run on third and short and consistently pick up first downs. Did Frost watch any wildcard games? They all use the fullback and the I formation. They get physical with play calling.

I don’t known about blaming talent...we had 3-5 NFL players on this years D. We won’t see that again for a while. Let that sink in.

I prefer a 4-3 in the Big Ten where you need more big bodies on the line. Stop the run first D! If we had the LSU or Wisconsin’s DC I’d be ok with 3-4, they are very unpredictable. The problem with Chinander’s 3-4 it’s very predictable and always has been.
