This game was not lost on penalties. Period. This game was lost because, prior to Cody Green's entrance, we COULD NOT MOVE THE BALL offensively! Our defense played stellar, against a stellar Texas Tech offense...our defense is solid. This game should've been a shoot-out....instead, it was a BLOWOUT. Yes, guys...it was a BLOWOUT. Watson's conservative b.s. is old (this was apparent in our win over Missouri)....This loss reminded me of our 2007 season. Please remember that it was us that were ranked #15 coming into this game.... We should've won this game by 2 touchdowns.... Its hard to move the ball when you have a 12/16 penalty/first down ratio. I'm sorry but you're wrong on this one. You can't be in a constant state of catch up.

I think we're being a bit too harsh. While I thought the performance was pretty horrendous, I don't think calling for the staff's heads is the right call. If you ask me where the most concerns lie, its right here: WAY too many mistakes. These are player mistakes, not coaches. While I understand the discipline is often a direct reflection of the staff, the coaches aren't the one's playing. It's hard for me to say this because I personally believe its a coaches RESPONSIBILITY to take all the blame whether its warranted or not. In this case, I have to stand up for them a bit before they get stoned to death.

Gotta admit that I'm jealous of the "blue mountains" on the Coors Light bottles that indicate if your beer is cold or not. I solve that problem by polishing off my Bud Light before it has a chance to get warm! One can also tell if its cold by touching it. Not once have I gazed across a room at a beer and thought 'I wonder if that baby is cold'. Killians Red, Honey Brown, any wheat beer, and Makers Mark. Not all at the same time mind you.

Expectations are worth absolutely nothing; whether they are high or low. So, whats the point of of arguing what each fan's personal expectations should be. Its all played on the field so support the team and hope for the best. Bitching in moaning won't help a thing.

He definitely deserves a pat on the back. The game notes on Huskers.com pretty much only talk about his stats. He didn't have to do anything too difficult considering all the chances he had to rack up stats, but still very well done. No question, one of the best kickers in college.

Defensively we played fine. Obviously there were times, albeit important times, when coverages were blown and pressure was not provided, but we just need to tighten the bolts a bit. Over all, it was a tough night and I have to congratulate VT on the win.
