A few things that are horribly incorrect, coded by bolded number above: 1. DPE led the nation in punt return yardage two years ago. 2. Alex Henery was literally the best kicker in the history of the NCAA when he exhausted his eligibility. 3. Sam Foltz was the B1G Punter of the Year last season. 4. Mike Riley fired a coach after his FIRST SEASON. However, I do think we are overpaying for a ST coordinator who performs like this. Throw in that he doesn't recruit either and you have a dream job with little to no responsibility.
  2. The coaches have to start 5 players on the o-line. Utter is not good, but he's the only guy who can do the job this year. That's why he's been starting for 2 years. How can he possibly be the only guy who can do the job?The previous staff didn't build any depth along the offensive line. Pretty obvious.Look at NUs recruiting on the OL during the past few years. Compared to most other P5 schools, it's been very good from a recruitnik perspective. This staff isn't really changing the approach/numbers, so if they don't have enough depth to be successful today, I'm left wondering why anyone thinks they'll have enough 4 years from now. Pelini and his staff whiffed on their o-line recruiting in 2012 and 2013. Those guys didn't develop anywhere near to be good enough. The 2015 class for Riley (and Pelini) is concerning because of Decker and Barnett not being able to contribute this year. The 2016 class for Riley could be playing as true freshmen, and there is a valid argument for this (I have made it!!!), but the lack of a scholarship center that is a senior or junior this year is on Pelini and his staff. Decker has concussion issues and is too scared to play anymore. Barnett is eating himself out of a scholarship as is weighting around 360-370lbs. With that said Utter is terrible and it shows how bad recruiting was under Pelini/Cotton for the OL.Just simply asking, but where'd you hear Barnett is up that high in weight? I had a class with him last year and I've seen him around this year. He doesn't really look that much different size wise. I'm guessing most reports are fabricated or exaggerated. We know why we arent seeing him on the field. Cavanaugh has a very specific philosophy about substitution, or lack thereof. Any time you want to compare football credentials rather than levy personal attacks, let me know in a PM. Since you seem to believe that you know so much, why don't you apply for one of the openings at a Power 5 Conference school at the end of the year? Heck rumor has it that Oregon may be open by the end of this week. Then we could see how you do when you get to coach against Riley head to head.

  4. Thank you Marine very much for your 26 years of faithful service. If it wasn't for guys like you I wouldn't have had the chance to volunteer to serve 21 (and still counting) years for this great country.

  6. I actually asked about this - if your company has a policy it doesn't matter if it's legal where you live. I honestly think he must have issues far more offensive than pot. Not only is it not hard to abstain when you know you're going to be tested, but it's easy to "cram for the test". He does and has for awhile. It's unfortunate that he couldn't get past his demons to ensure the financial stability for his family for generations to come.
  7. Riley in post game interview regarding the 12 man penalty. "Junior Highs would do it better than that." Read won't keep his job next year.
  8. Not playmaking QB's, just game managers. The kid they have now has a chance to be the best Saban has had at Alabama which is surprisingly a pretty low standard.
  9. Most top programs would struggle if they had to go to a backup QB for an extended period of time. The QB depth this year at NU is truly terrible though. This is true, unless you are Ohio State the last few years, if your starter goes down then you are in trouble and have to limit your offense. The only exception may be Alabama because Saban has never really had a good QB or good QB play. But they are so good everywhere else that they can win in spite of it. I guess SEC $$$$ allows you to do that. And yes, it would be fair to say we don't have any depth this year. It is either TA or nobody because we don't know how good POB is and unfortunately we know how bad Fyfe is.
  10. Did I insult you in any way? Apparently this blog is full of people how hide from reality. I think the short bus is waiting for you sir. This is the perfect situation that proves the saying that "It isn't wise to get into arguments with idiots, because they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience" correct.
  11. Or the middle on jump cut. No lane discipline. That was all Rose-Ivey being clueless on how to read a play and fill the correct gap. It was the same play that Wisky scored on him with their first TD. He ran inside and the RB walks into the end zone in the gap he was supposed to fill.
  12. I think we should be able to rip on both sides, doesn't matter to me at all! I just don't know why some get banned for it while others don't. It is because the mods are mostly liberal and they can do anything they want like insinuate that posters are raciest, while conservative leaning people get banned for calling someone out with bad reading comprehension. At the same time other liberals have also done, with no banning.
  13. From the left point of view everything that you stated is fine. But you have to give him the same chance that Obama had to succeed or fail as the leader of this country before we start comparing him to some of the all time worst/evil leaders in world history. If the left would take a deep breath and relax a little they would realize that the extreme stuff can't happen without help from the left. R's only have 52 seats, it takes 60 to pass anything. There is going to be compromise and that is a good thing. The last thing this country needs is for one side to have full control without any checks and balances, that is what leads to a lot of bad one sided policy that hurts the country. IMO the biggest thing is that people need to stop listening to the media and "celebrities" to tell them how to think. Use some common sense and stop the silly protesting because it is playing into the stereotype and it isn't accomplishing anything other than making the protesters look stupid. Especially since 47.9% of eligible voters didn't vote, so if they didn't vote, then they don't have a right to complain, let alone destroy people's property/business.
  14. How do you know that those people weren't planted by the DNC? They were already caught on tape stating that they paid mentally ill people to go to his rallies to start fights just to get bad publicity so they could paint his supporters in a certain light?
  15. LMAO, Zoogs please tell me you are joking. Are you really going defend Jay Z's use of the N word, calling women B!tches, ho's as being any different than what Trump said? The point is that both are equally as demeaning to women and by your response you are proving me right and how hypocritical liberals are. Once again, rule number one of a liberal who gets caught being a hypocrite is to call or insinuate the person who caught them is an "ist" or "phoebe." I am assuming that is where you were going by saying "famous Black" people as an excuse for you not getting my point that once again they both are equally demeaning towards women. That is the problem, liberals see things that are not there. The only thing that is weak and sad is how lost you are and how far your world is from reality. Jay Z = Music --> Art Trump = Real life, caught on tape Do you see the difference? Because there is a very real one. Yeah, actually, I'm pretty damn offended by our next president admitting to sexual assault. That happens to be one of my buttons. Go after the people promoting violence all you want. That's garbage and it has no place in our politics, just the same as when Trump was promoting it. But maybe you should step back with an open mind and critically examine why large swaths of people are horrified by this instead of calling them crybabies that didn't get their way. So if Trump would have sang or rapped "grab them by the pu$$y" then it would have been "art" and it would be ok? That is beyond ridiculous. Demeaning is demeaning no matter how it was said. They are horrified because they are uneducated on the issues and are overreacting just like the right did 8 years ago.
  16. They won't get deported, there will be a comprise. Instead of an extreme on either side being a mass deportation or amnesty, they will likely be allowed to file for citizenship as long as they don't have a violent criminal record. The Dem's want the votes and the Rep's want the cheap labor. As for the Muslims issue, you are out of date on that part. It is only making those who are coming from a terrorist supporting country (Syria, Iran, etc) will need to go through a more rigorous vetting process to ensure we are not allowing terrorists into the country. but Muslims from non terrorists countries go through the normal vetting process. So there isn't a ban on any Muslim from entering the country, we are just making sure that they are not an extremist before allowing them in.
  17. All of his past will come back to haunt him. Every barb he threw about questionable charity, birthplace, money making etc - now his entire past and current business, personal and professional life will be on display, and honestly I think he's starting to realize that this is a pretty big burden. I for one am excited to see some karma. But is that where we should be as people outraged at his presidency? We are all in this together, things will be a hell of a lot worse if we aren't even trying to be united. I want to see Trump go down as the single worst president in history so that we may prevent this from happening again, but at the same time have to live through this crap. I'm torn. I totally understand - I just want him to face all the challenges and stupid bs that he spent the last 8 years putting our current president through. Glass House/Stones. Honestly I think we can get thru our time with him, I think there's very little chance he gets traction on many of his campaign promises that excited so many of his followers. I'm more worried about the agenda and strength of the senate. They are smart enough to know how to get things through and be sneaky about it. And Pence. He scares the crap out of me. I have zero religious ties at this point in my life, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I'm saying some prayers that Ruth G. and the others SCOTUS stay healthy and engaged. And, that's exactly how we have come to the point we are right now. Ever since probably the Reagan administration, every party that isn't in the Whitehouse tears apart the person who is President. Then, when it switches, the next party out of office says..."We're going to go after him like they did to our guy. Let him see how if feels. Bush 1 was sort of bad. Clinton was really bad Bush 2 was really really bad Obama was pathetically bad When is one side going to say enough is enough and break the cycle? Well said, but it isn't likely going to happen unless both the far Right or Left concede that their ideas are not what is best for the country. Why not be the more mature party? I actually think that would garner one hell of a lot of votes next go round. Too much $$$$$ to pander to the extremists on both sides.
  18. I believe it is the other way around, you are in your own world and need to come back to reality.

I am sure that you were one of the first who (rightfully) criticized the crazies on the far right who said the same thing about Obama 8 years ago. Congratulations, you have become what you have been making fun of for the past 8 years. It goes to show that there isn't a lot of difference between the two parties, their hardcore followers, and how they act towards each other.
  22. Nope, it is you guys who don't get it, that is why the Dems got their a$$es handed to them last Tuesday.
