  1. Just scored his 3rd TD of the game to put the Skins up 45-41 with 45 seconds remaining, Plus he has developed into a really good passblocking back. Nice game, Roy!
  2. This sucks big time. But burning Kondolos RS just to have im in the rotation? Sounds not reasonable for me. Either he is a clear-cut upgrade over Moudy, Price and Co. (then you burn his RS and make him the starter) or he hasn't separated that much in the practices (then you go with your actual backups).
  3. I think he's not a good choice at PR. He has some speed, but is more of a long strider. It takes some time till he gets there. But maybe they want just a sure catcher after we had some problems there for years.
  4. Erwin Swiney? What are you smokin'? Swiney was about the worst defender we ever put on the field. He could not defend his grandmother's oversized bloomers hanging on the wash line. He was so bad he actually played two years in the NFL. SJB is a beast though and a clear-cut pro prospect. Can't understand that only a few draft sites have him ranked at all. NFLDraftScout has him as their CB #57. Ridiculous.
  5. He's in the mold of these guys it appears. If so, all I can say is finally what took so long!?! (in addition to being stoked) I don't know if these are valid comparisons. Joseph for one was extremely undersized, but quick as hell. More of a runner than a thrower though. Tommy is way bigger, but probably not as fast as some of the aforementioned QBs. It seems that he throws the ball much better. I hope he runs the option more natural - something TM unfortunately hasn't done that well.
  6. Yeah, but according to Pelinis comments, we should see both QBs: http://journalstar.c...2255bc3c3a.html
  7. Assuming that other interested teams are cooling off because of his injury, there could be a strong walk-on possibility. I like his film more than other members here, so I would be very pleased if it's gonna work out for us.
  8. This is really a big time recruit. Let's hope he stays with us, would be a huge get. LOVE his film! Pinpoints the ball at its highest point, very good perimeter blocker, surprisingly quick for his size.
  9. Long overdue Best option quarterback of all time! It's still a shame he didn't win the Heisman, but the two national championships count wayyy more. GBR!
  10. And the last one: Brett Maher apparently signed with the Jets. Their K Nick Folk is kind of streaky. Not a bad landing spot for Brett,
  11. Sean Callahan ‏@Sean_Callahan 1h Nebraska Kicker Brett Maher tells me he's still weighing multiple free agent offers, but should have something settled here shortly.#Huskers
  12. Thanks for the updates. Any word on Maher? Might have missed it. Nothing until now. Kyler Reed is a Jaguar!
  13. Some updates: Ben Cotton - Chargers UDFA Eric Martin - Saints UDFA Will Compton - Skins UDFA Still waiting on Reed.
  14. Daimion went to the Titans (Pick #248)! Congrats!
  15. Disagree, they dont have a RB. I bet he starts week 1 They do. They drafted UNCs Gio Bernard in the 2nd round.
  16. Sooo happy for ihm! Should be a nice complementary back to Gio Bernard.
  17. It's always funny that white RB and WR are always compared to white RB and WR. Rex has nothing in common with these to players except Woodhead is also from Nebraska. His running style reminds me a little bit of a more powerful Tiki Barber. The aforementioned Curtis Martin is all-around also a more valid comparison.
  18. Wow this sucks big time. Really liked the way Braylon ran. Always thought he should get more opportunities. He was our most natural runner on the team and the one with the best vision. I know we have capable replacements in Taylor and Newby but I hoped Heard would have a big impact next season. The kid really worked hard to get here. Wish him the best.
  19. This. Next season he would be the 4th string QB with almost no chance of seeing PT. Or move to safety as you mentioned. Good luck to him.
  20. I completely agree. Martinez is faster than Tommie Frazier ever was and, if my memory serves me correct, is a statistically better thrower. Frazier had a 48% completion percentage in 1995. Can you imagine the uproar if Taylor threw for that low of a percentage? It doesn't make any sense to compare stats from different eras. The nearly 56% Frazier had as a senior was a darn good completion rate for an option QB of the early to mid 90s. He wasn't quite the thrower that Gill was, but way better than both Frost and Crouch. And nobody managed the option better than Frazier: when to pitch, where to pitch (hitting the RB in full stride). Unfortunately you can't create some individual stats for that.
  21. Hell yeah! Just came home. This is amazing news!
  22. Yeah, it's a possibility. But I would prefer to redshirt him. Let him get his full athleticism (and confidence in his knees and cuts) back and put him in the weight room to add a few pounds. With AA, Heard (who I like a lot like most people on this board) and Cross we should do ok. And don't count out Frazier who looked very promising.
  23. Was really impressed with his tape, think he has the tools to be a really great RB. He reminds me the most of AD. Nonetheless more than happy we got Taylor (hopefully).
  24. I saw that a few days ago but couldn't figure out whether it's an update or not. Would suck big time. Huuuge Adam Taylor fan here. Think we hit the jackpot with him.
  25. Caveman, no question. That Burkhead play basically on our own GL was huuuuuge though.
