  1. The Ad. Agency presently doing the tunnel walk needs to shape up or have their box seats revolked.............the sooner the better! I say do it in house if this is all what gets turned over to the University to show 85,000 fans.
  2. Great Question. The day was very hot for the fans so it was hard to tell. At times it seemed so, but the fans were not near as loud as they normally are due to the heat. It was damn hot out. My hat off to the players and the training staff who prepared them for the heat.
  3. The tunnel walk was "BAD". With the talent Husker Vision has, they sure had no vision with this one. Also the player introductions were hard to hear with the music being to loud. Turn down the music and bring up the player's voices.
  4. Great news! What kind of game did she want to play?
  5. Water balloons will quickly lead to a wet t-shirt contest in the stadium. I see a real tradition starting threre.
  6. Heard can really take this move back to RB into an advantage. Understanding how a CB thinks and behaves can be a great thing for a RB. I wish him the best. He is going to be a great RB for the Huskers.
  7. It would be a waste to update the stadium if we can't sell the tickets, so I guess we are just going to have to work on filling it up. my parents tried to request tickets and they are already sold out. They have not made it public that the seats are sold, but they are. They are and they aren't. Current ticket holders have an option to move first, before any new tickets are sold. Once those requests are made and accomplished, then newcomers have an option. Of course, all you have to do to get tickets this year is donate enough moolah. Tickets are awarded on a points basis, and I think you get one point per every one hundred dollars you donate. Just drop about ten grand on the Athletic Department and you'll get seats. Pretty good ones, probably. Priority points are actually 3 points for every $100 donated for the current year + 1 point for every $100 donated life time. For example: Assuming you donate $500 the first year you have 15 priority points. The next year you donate $400 you get 12 points for that donation + 5 points for the $500 donated the first year for a total of 17 points. So if you are a big spender the first year to the tune of $10,000. You have 300 priority points. The next year you donate another $10,000 you have another 300 points + a credit of 100 points for the life time donations. You then have 400 points to play with. That would get you some mighty nice seats! Anyone have 10 grand to give me.....................?
  8. last year the visitors were placed in the southwest corner of the stadium down close to the field with some seats up high in the same corner. Also there were visiting fans in the northeast corner of the stadium. Top 1/4. The visitors have some of the best seating in Memorial Stadium and in college football. If it were me, I might not be so accommodating. But I'm not in charge. Oh well, enjoy your visit.
  9. Student tickets can be had. Have your friend do some serious checking and bartering. Who knows, but you might be able to get one in the same stadium (east or south) as your friend. Don't wait to long as they will be harder to get. From what I understand there will be 500 to 1000 students not able to get tickets this year that wanted them.
  10. Seems like he is a kid with his head firmly planted on his shoulders. I look to seeing him as a great player and role model.
  11. Pass the word to everyone you know on facebook, then pass the word on other Big Ten Boards too. The Big Ten Conference needs to support the Huskers to keep the SEC from winning.
  12. Ah, the bots at work for TAM and NC St. The Husker bots need to kick in.
  13. Looka like we soon will find out who the silent commits are.
  14. I'm thinking the team the Huskers play on the 22nd of Sept is going to be North Dakota St.
  15. I'm thinking its a team like North Dakota State. They even have an opening in their schedule for the date needed to be filled on Nebraska's schedule.
  16. Cactusboy: You never change. Are you really a whorn fan?
  17. While this is sometimes true, I don't think she's wrong at all to encourage him to at least visit a school. There's no harm in that as far as she's concerned, and she's right, although it sucks to see as Nebraska fans. +1 Soon we shall see what happens.
  18. I think the Husker student body needs to have cheer practice the night before the game. It would be fun and get them together with what ever cheers or chants they come up with. (Refer to Texas A&M for details) Could be a great party too.
  19. I can see the Big Ten taking one team from the Big 12-2-1-?. Missouri or Kansas would balance things out geographically. Iowa St. and Kansas St. bring essentially nothing to the table. Then Big Ten will grab a team from the east.
  20. You grossly underestimate the ability of out-state drivers to bung up traffic. These are people for whom four-way stops and T-intersections are a nearly insurmountable challenge. A roundabout will throw many of them into outright conniptions. I agree. I mean, I drive the thing every day and I think I'm not a bad driver (though, I bet most terrible drivers think they are awesome) and every time I go on that loop I *almost* make the wrong turn, but don't. Luckily I can walk to the stadium on game days. Might be fun to walk by the roundabout and watch though This also reminds me of my grandparents having to do a roundabout for the first time. For the first year or so it was up they drove on county roads to avoid it because it scared them. A week ago early one morning I walked through those roundabouts for a photo guide I'm planning (if I find time). While I was doing that, a matter of 20 minutes, two different cars went the wrong way on the roundabouts. Two. In 20 minutes. Just wait until game day and Joe 54-County shows up to "the big city" for the first time since last football season and see the carnage he'll wreak on these things. I suppose you will have to stand at the roundabout and hold up the "RIGHT TURN ONLY" sign. Geesh people will figure it out once they see it once. Really it will work out fine. Traffic will flow better then in the past.
  21. The traffic circle will actually increase traffic flow and make things better for all. People will get used to it and all will be fine. I had the exact same reaction. 14th & Superior gets so much out-of-town traffic from 6 county and 16 county that already doesn't know how to drive. I cannot imagine the carnage this roundabout will produce, and if there's no carnage it'll be because traffic has slowed to an absolute crawl, making the backup problems that much worse. The day that roundabout opens Im gonna down there and sit on the corner and watch the rearend collisons and side swipes. Laughing the whole time. Good pix's Knapp.
