I think people forget that. I love college football...as entertainment. At the end of the day its still just kids playing a game. Don't get to caught up in it or let it stir your emotions too much. It always irks me when people really dig into players, I don't care if that 19 year old kid did go out there and throw three interceptions, scholarship or not he's still just a kid. When this stuff ceases to be entertaining for you and becomes a stress you need to stop watching. Do you realize the fanbase you are talking too? I agree with you, but we're (Nebraska fans) f*#k!n crazy!!!! Meh its like that everywhere to some extent, or at least at most large schools that halfway give a damn. We all go out there and buy merchandise and tickets, invest time and emotion and fiercly identify with our teams so its hard to let go but its still just a game. Let it be entertaining. Get mad at the coaches who are paid by the university (state) to win but leave the players out of it. Not to point fingers, just making a general statement. And this time next year, this loss (or years losses) but will be just a bad memory, the kool-aid drinking will commence, excitement will be high....

If we continue to blitz a lot throughout the season, then the coaching staff must have a lot of confidence in the secondary (lets hope that is the case). I believe the secondary will be NEB's defensive strong-point. Agreed. They were not tested against S. Miss, but I do believe that they will respond when they are. UCLA should test them this weekend.

Neither team should be getting any national press. UCLA hasn't won a conference championship since 1998 and Nebraska hasn't won a conference championship since 1999. I don't think the national press will be covering two teams that haven't won a conference title this century. Is the 14th ranked team in the country considered irrelevant? It is not where Nebraska fans want our team to be, but I believe that Nebraska still moves the needle (without question, more then UCLA).
