  1. As the saga continues... UT will be independent before you know it, IMO. It's too bad that no one else seen this coming.
  2. just not enough room on the most wanted.. my top targets are the one's on there + Beaver and Bullard Bullard is unlikely, but to say we have no shot is going too far. Bullard has said all along that he wants to visit here, JP is putting some serious work with him. If he takes an official here, anything could happen. This. If Bullard, which I didn't even know was considering us, comes on an official we might have a great chance.
  3. I've seen where Washington is a major player for his services, but I heard he really likes us. The only reason Washington is a "major" player for BB is because they have offered and actively recruited his teammate. The two were supposed to announce a decision in June, but backed off and want to go through the process. In the end, I bet we get Brandon. Alright!

  5. I heard somewhere i think it was a free scout article that they're cousins. They are cousins, Doug has been talking up Colorado to Deaysean. I had a feeling they are related. Anyways, outside of them being cousins, what else is there about Colorado to talk up? Maybe that they are in the Pac 12 now? Seriously
  6. Where is this guy on our depth chart Aspeedlin? Top CB target next to Brandon Beaver. Are we trying to get both? yes, and we need to be. Cool, thanks. I heard BB really likes us although I heard that UW is a major player. As far as Jiles is concerned where do we stand even though he's visiting?

  8. I agree that the gap is not all that wide, but those examples are valid reasons why the SEC has an advantage in the BCS. Additionally, since we are in an instant media, 'what have you done for me lately' society, a lot of people tend to think that college football's current state will remain forever. I believe college football is a cyclical sport, as things or forces are constantly changing the makeup of competition.
  9. See him in Lincoln or see him playing on Saturdays for the Huskers? I believe he'll be here today, but that doesn't mean he'll play football. What I think will be interesting is to see if he actually works out with the team. I can't imagine the Royals being too happy about him doing even light-contact or no-contact drills with a football team. If he actually practices in any capacity, that may bode well for him coming here. I have yet to see another article or quote from the parents saying they want him to come to college - at least not since before the Draft. Anyone have any links to such articles? You might on to something Knapp, what if Bubba works out with the team and gets injured, KC might shy away from signing him. Leaving him no choice but to stay with the Huskers! 3 cheers for Bubba getting injured during voluntary workouts so he stays with the Huskers!!! Man that just ain't right!
  10. I am not getting my hopes up for him unless he selects us for an official, a list of 10 with the list he has really isn't saying much. Either way a talent nonetheless, but luckily for us we have great youth and depth at DT.
  11. Link: http://blog.newsok.com/berrytramel/2011/07/07/big-12-football-espn-fox-collusion-troubling/ Another prime example of why we left. I know I'm probably beating a dead horse but anyone who thinks we left because of our troubles on the playing field or because we couldn't 'get our way' with Big 12 related issues are idiotic.
  12. Alright, I can accept that. Here's to his process and may he pick the right school.
  13. +1 about JP. What's the likelihood that he'll leave the Pac-12 region? A lot of heavyweights in on him, but that's to be expected of a top flight prospect. Hopefully our DL performs at a high level again and continues to prove that NU is an elite developer of DL talent.
  14. Would be nice to get him in for a visit, if at all possible. If Coach Raymond can get him to somehow visit, it would show his recruiting worth.
  15. Yes, its definitely gotten hotter. I stumbled upon the piece http://eye-on-collegefootball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/30373958/2 (sorry apologies for URL). The rivals interview with Lache was very eye opening for me, considering what's come out now. I thought Lache's comments revealed that he was forced/swindled into going to UO. JMO
  16. Haha! I didn't know much about him but as soon as I started to warm up to him, now this...smh
  17. Talk about possibility having long term quality and depth. Hope this scenario plays out
  18. I see three schools on there that I had stated I feared the most. He cut two of them. Now there are still 3 other schools that I'm truly nervous about, so we'll have to see how it shakes out Texas, FSU and USC? Almost except replace FSU for Auburn. He has yet to visit UT and Auburn, so we'll have to see. However, FSU is a school that I'm concerned about, but for some reason not as much as the others.
  19. It's funny when it is about Wilson. What is funnier is people still think Bubba comes here. I have to see it to believe myself. As much as I'd like Bubba to suit up for NU in the fall, I'm fully in the mindset that he will not be here and am not incorporating him in our roster. However if I'm wrong, I'll just be wrong but I'll be elated.

  21. I'm just trying to be fair, but I know that's not always possible....
  22. Connor Brewer is in his ear all the time, they plan on visiting UT together. I hate f'ing Texas. I also find it a little odd that Auburn and UT are in again on a top AZ lineman, first Westerman and now Peat. For Westerman, I know UT had a below average season and some coaches left, but his switch was a tad shocking considering that rarely happens at UT and I actually think Josh Turner had more of a case to leave than CW with Muschamp leaving. I wonder what their individual recruiting pitches are, out of curiosity, and I'm serious.
  23. Definitely gonna have to put our best foot forward for A Peat. Don't like that Auburn and Texas are two of his early leaders...I also don't like either program in general.
