Eric the Red
Norvell is quoted as saying,"I've worked a long time to get into position to become a head coach," Norvell said today. "I've been around a lot of great people and coaches, including Dan McCarney. I'd be excited to be a head coach at the right place, but right now, we're in the middle of a championship hunt at Nebraska and that's where all my focus is." After the season he will get some offers..somewhere, whether he takes them or not is left to be seen. He's quite loyal to Callahan, so he will be coach through the season. Watson will be promoted to OC IMO Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
it would be a big loss if nebraska lost norvell Quote Link to comment
General Blackshirt
question, what exactly does the OC do??? i mean, callahan is the one who calls the plays, so in a game, isn't norvell just another coach? Quote Link to comment
hack
he works with the quarterbacks. Quote Link to comment
DaveH
he works with the quarterbacks. Norvell also assists in offensive gameplanning and giving Callahan a "eye in the sky" in games. Quote Link to comment
FriscoTXHusker
I think going to ISU without the University seriously stepping up the support/long-term commitment would be a setup for failure. I can't imagine why anyone would want the job. Quote Link to comment

VA Husker
Norvell will initially be impossible to replace. He and Calahan and the rest of the O-staff and team are on the same sheet of music. Let's hope he doesn't leave. Quote Link to comment
